ICELAND REBUFFS THE BANKSTERS

Remember back when all this financial "crisis" started? It was Iceland that first went belly up. Now, recently, of course, we've been treated to endless news about Greece,Italy, and to a lesser extent, Spain and Portugal. Greece and Italy are of particular interest, because of course, the banksters have seen to it that "technocrats" - a nice fancy term for money managers, carpetbaggers, and banksters - will "rescue" Greece and Italy from the bumbling hands of their politicians and democratic processes, and restore "order" to their fiscal houses. Hip hip hurray for the banksters, that wise and beneficent class of well-intentioned businessmen out to create a world of sustainable growth and peace.

Except....

....what happened to Iceland?

Well, the IMF, the big British and Dutch banks, tried to do in Iceland what they're attempting to do in Greece and Italy, namely, introduce "austerity" and make each Icelandic citizen pay increased taxes to bail out the banks. Iceland, however, didn't play ball quite the way the City of London and Zurich and Basel wanted them to play. Instead, they put the whole matter up to a popular referendum of their citizenry - note that didn't happen here in the supposedly "free" USA whose compliant bought-and-paid-for Congress bailed out American banks - and of course, as to be expected, the tiny nation's citizenry of about 325,000 people overwhelmingly told their bankster class to go to hell, criminalized their behavior, and just for good measure, began to arrest some of them.... and to put out Interpol arrest warrants for the rest that fled the country.

Then, just for good measure, the Icelanders decided it was time for a new constitution, which was being written not by a committee of politicians behind closed doors, but by the entire nation's citizenry online, on the Internet. Doubtless we haven't heard about that too, because we can well imagine it has a few things to say about private international central banks too. Don't believe me? Read about it here:

Why Iceland Should Be in the News, But Is Not

Now, to put all this in perspective, it would be as if the Occupy Movement had suddenly grown a pair, and a brain to match, grew to national majority proportions, decided to pressure the politicians to such an extent that they had to round up the shareholders of the "too big to fail banks," brokerage houses, and coordinate a series of Marine raids on the Federal Reserve banks before the latter's shredders could destroy the incriminating evidence, and audit the whole mess, and throw the various major shareholders of same in the pokey for criminality.  No such luck here, but hats off to Iceland for having the moxie to do so.

Well folks welcome to Oceania War is Peace-Freedom is Slavery-Ingnorence is Strength. Thank you Jaoseph P. Farrell for telling me about SACSIS. I have rarely ever read the newspapers only the Sunday Magazine sections. I get my news via history and science books and before you say how bias they are I try to read serveral books on the same subject to get every angle of the story. If you ever look at the news always try to remember any interesting trifle story that is usually drop as soon and quickly as possible that is where the real news is.

Glad you’re bringing attention to this while the MSM and the fake alternative media agencies completely ignore the plight of Icelanders and how they have made the best effort to date to execute a proper revolution unlike the impotent and, in part, rigged Egyptian, Libyan .. Arab Spring overthrows of their regimes.

I’ve been following this story for awhile they did agree to a $2.1 Billion (USD equivalent) bailout with an IMF.

They are on the fence on the issue about paying out to central banks in the EU (UK and Netherlands) but may still default. They also received a small bailout from Nordic countries. It will likely end in a partial default since the banks had sunk Icelanders with debt amounting to 10x their GDP.

Iceland remains a holdout from a regional EU government but does have many trade and economic agreements with the EU body and many individual nations.

It all sounded incredibly too good and easy to be true! And perhaps it was…shocked to read Prof. Michael Hudson et al spelling out the banksters inevitable response…..http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=va&aid=27673
Any further confirmation on this unfolding scenario?

My big worry is that they will soon experience a volcano/earthquake/invasion, courtesy of the Banksters. They may be small, but all the more reason for them NOT to be allowed to get away with creating freedom.

I predict that within a month, they will either have some “natural” disaster, or some new “terrorist” plot will unfold requiring NATO or the U.S. to invade them, or otherwise compromise their sovereignty. Perhaps some new plague will break out and the whole island will have to be blockaded, I mean, quarantined.

If one group of people get freedom, then the whole darn world’s going to want it……gotta nip these things in the bud….

I do like the idea of arresting Banksters, though. That is great. Grab a few of them for “rendition” to some isolated volcanic cave, persuade them to blow the whistle on their cohorts, and maybe we can start unraveling their twisted Bankster plans. Have a nice jury made up of people they swindled, etc.

    Go Iceland!

I think the Banksters have enough problems on their hands right now to be able to safely ignore (for the time being) a small break-away island nation (pop. ca. 340k- was told that by a native) that in the future could very easily be blockaded (or HAARPed)- the only things Iceland is not required to import are fish, lamb, geothermic warmth and volcanic eruptions-

I’ve worked with 4 Icelandics; all were incredibly sweet, open and extremely well-educated!

Iceland is definitely fighting against systemic corruption as some family members are being paid off by the Banksters to commit treason, as they are all across the globe.
Max Keiser is on this, AND has ATTITUDE.

Why did this Icelandic type rebellion not happen here in the USA? Simple answer is that we have precious few honorable people at the highest levels of government. The grand majority of our representatives are highly paid (bribed) NWO political prostitutes ready to bow to their owners (bankster elities) and do their will. This is also the very reason that the system CANNOT be reformed.

This is why I cringe when some pundit says all we need do is vote the bums out. Vote them out? Who do you think controls the vote count? How is it that Dubyah Bush lost both Presidential elections but served two terms?

Any one want to join with me and sing the Icelandic National Anthem?

    • Kent Brashear on November 30, 2011 at 8:22 pm

Here you go Citizen Quasar. Sing along

      The Icelandic National Anthem

      Icelandic lyrics

Ó, guð vors lands! Ó, lands vors guð!
Vér lofum þitt heilaga, heilaga nafn!
Úr sólkerfum himnanna hnýta þér krans
      þínir herskarar, tímanna safn.
Fyrir þér er einn dagur sem þúsund ár,
      og þúsund ár dagur, ei meir;
eitt eilífðar smáblóm með titrandi tár,
sem tilbiður guð sinn og deyr.
      Íslands þúsund ár,
      Íslands þúsund ár!
eitt eilífðar smáblóm með titrandi tár,
sem tilbiður guð sinn og deyr.

Ó guð, ó guð! Vér föllum fram
og fórnum þér brennandi, brennandi sál,
guð faðir, vor drottinn frá kyni til kyns,
og vér kvökum vort helgasta mál.
Vér kvökum og þökkum í þúsund ár,
því þú ert vort einasta skjól.
Vér kvökum og þökkum með titrandi tár,
      því þú tilbjóst vort forlagahjól.
      Íslands þúsund ár,
      Íslands þúsund ár!
      Voru morgunsins húmköldu, hrynjandi tár,
      sem hitna við skínandi sól.

Ó, guð vors lands! Ó, lands vors guð!
Vér lifum sem blaktandi, blaktandi strá.
Vér deyjum, ef þú ert ei ljós það og líf,
sem að lyftir oss duftinu frá.
Ó, vert þú hvern morgun vort ljúfasta líf,
      vor leiðtogi í daganna þraut
og á kvöldin vor himneska hvíld og vor hlíf
og vor hertogi á þjóðlífsins braut.
      Íslands þúsund ár,
      Íslands þúsund ár!
verði gróandi þjóðlíf með þverrandi tár,
      sem þroskast á guðsríkis braut.
      [edit] English translation

Oh, God of our country! Oh, our country’s God!
We worship Thy name in its wonder sublime.
The suns of the heavens are set in Thy crown
By Thy legions, the ages of time!
With Thee is each day as a thousand years,
Each thousand of years, but a day,
Eternity’s flow’r, with its homage of tears,
      That reverently passes away.
      Iceland’s thousand years,
      Iceland’s thousand years!
Eternity’s flow’r, with its homage of tears,
      That reverently passes away.

Our God, our God, we bow to Thee,
Our spirits most fervent we place in Thy care.
Lord, God of our fathers from age unto age,
We are breathing our holiest prayer.
We pray and we thank Thee a thousand years,
      For safely protected we stand;
We pray and we bring Thee our homage of tears,
Our destiny rest in Thy hand.
      Iceland’s thousand years,
      Iceland’s thousand years!
The hoarfrost of morning which tounted those years,
Thy sun rising high, shall command!

Our country’s God! Our God’s country!
      Our life is a feeble and quivering reed;
We perish, deprived of Thy spirit and light
To redeem and uphold in our need.
Inspire us at morn with Thy courage and love,
And lead through the days of our strife!
At evening send peace from Thy heaven above,
And safeguard our nation through life.
      Iceland’s thousand years,
      Iceland’s thousand years!
O, prosper our people, diminish our tears
And guide, in Thy wisdom, through life!

Wonder if Iceland is accepting immigrants………?

    • HAL838 on November 30, 2011 at 12:15 pm

      Yeah, huh, Jon ?
      Me too.
A bit chily, but one could get used to that !

    • Ridge on November 30, 2011 at 5:21 pm

A “White” country is any country, anti-whites INSIST has an obligation, to import huge numbers of third world immigrants.

So to answer your question, yes Iceland is accepting immigrants.

Hmm… just as the new tax season looms over us like hammers out of a Pink Floyd music video… I ponder over how the US is making arrests of the OWS crowd throughout the country; running out of cells and preparing to open up some of the FEMA detention facilities to hold everyone – and yet the banksters continue to siphon our “fiat” money to finance their never-ending summer…while we freeze and starve.

If there was indeed “freedom of speech” in the US then we would be able to make some changes for the betterment of all the citizens and not simply for the folks that seem to control everything. BTW, how come the administration is so hard up to incite conflict throughout Eurasia (basically everywhere) while making rifts with the BRICS states and actors that we are almost certainly headed towards a more disasterous future culminating in the so called “New World Order”? Perhaps we should attepmt change but in reality; the “continuity of government” (shadow government) will never allow change from the people but only from the non-terrestrial overlords. I’m worried.

Thanks for all of the great link JPF!

The IRS is also an illegal operation run by the same
“FED” that was born on the same day in 1913, also passed
illegally by a bunch of 0-=@#$%^&*.

      Treasury?
      What treasury ?

That was gone on the same birthday as the “FED.”
      More “Let’s Pretend.”

Internet Reformation is fueling change…models are being shared/compared and the cream of the crop is rising to the top. We are inside the renaissance of consciousness…did anyone else grow up knowing they were here for a MAJOR, BIG show? I did…I can remember everything about that moment…I was 10…and I knew…amazing!

  12. Ridge on November 30, 2011 at 5:54 am

An article I read said the money they needed to pay back was just 6 million Euro. I couldn’t believe that was right. World News for just 6 million Euro? lol

There’s people out there that 6 million Euro, would be nothing but loose change. They could have bailed them out without a second thought and got citizenship in Iceland in return. Where are you Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, etc?

Now i know why we never heard another word in our socalled free free and media about what happened there.
