MEXICO ANNOUNCES BAN ON GMO CORN PLANTING ON THANKSGIVING DAY

Many of you are now tracking the growing resistance to GMO crops, and this one was sent to me by a regular reader of this site, Mr. D.W. in the United Kingdom, and this one is worth looking at closely:

Mexico GMO Corn Plantings Postponed as 7,000 Years of Agriculture Hangs in the Balance

Now let's put this into a bit of context: the Mexican drug cartels run rampant in the northern states of that country, and more recently, with the US government clearly implicated in running guns to the same cartels, one can hardly blame Mexicans for wanting to call a halt, even if only temporary, to the planting of genetically engineered crud, especially since, as the article points out, Mexico's corn reflects "impressive corn biodiversity and purity," and, as the article's headline avers, one that came about as the result of centuries of agronomical practice, something quite different from the shotgun genetic engineering approach favored by Duponzanto and the ravenous agribusiness giants of corporate America that my Transhumanism co-author and I covered in that book.

What I thought was interesting was thetiming of the announcement: Nov 22, 2012: the anniversary of the assassination of President Kennedy, and, of course, this year, the day of the American holiday Thanksgiving. The reasons behind this clear message-sending would seem to be detailed by the article's indications of growing human damage from the ingestion of this junk, though it does not cite any Mexican scientific studies of their population to this effect, but we can imagine that there, as here, such studies would be shelved, sidelined, or otherwise suppressed, since Duponzanto & Co are actively lobbying for permission to proceed with the planting/pollution of Mexican fields.

There, like everywhere else, it's an uphill battle with a new government coming into power, with a president-elect that favors GMOs... but at least Mexicans can be confident that they are not alone in opposition to this "science" and the corporate bottom line that has bought it.

You're not alone, Mexico...

See you on the flip side.

Off topic but worth it. Some unscheduled speakers invade a banksters mutual admiration society dinner and award Barclays top honors for their contribution to the LIBOR fraud scandal:

    The dominoes are falling in-step.
No, don’t get confused with Domino’s “step tracker” – whenever a “step-tracked employee” walks by a “computer”, the reader downloads the draft to Domino’s website, where it is easy to track who has taken the most steps or least number of paces fo that day, that hour, that week, or that year. You see, industrial food requires uniform ingrediants, …consistent components that have been the food industry’s “widget”, on anything that comes from the factory[read farm]. Industrial food companies replicate taste on a global scale. A consistancy that spells the end of small farmers, who produce ALL Kinds of tomatoes[read corn].

In other words BIG CORN[read GMOs] KILLS
small corn[read millions of mexican farmers]
    /[read NAFTA/GMOs].

Let’s hear the rolling thunder of GMOs dominos,
    as they fall globally.

…And the return of small farmers worldwide.

Well, what’s happenning is that part of the American banksters which have sided with Rockefeller, Zbig, Kerry and the rest of the Obama crowd are getting squeezed by the foreign banksters. The Mexican gov has been infiltrated by the Mossad drug runners for ages. This war against their own people has been waged relentlessly with tens of thousands dead. Why would they all of a sudden turn around and act altruistic? If you look at who owns the biggest Mexican banks (Banorte etc) and corps (CEMEX, for instance) you’ll find the same drug running, money laundering banksters (HSBC, Citibank et al).

On a related note, thought you’d find this White House press release interesting. Talks about “insider threats” (spies, moles, saboteurs), “violence against the gov (assassinations) and the nation (false flags)”. Wery, wery intewesting:

    The White House
    Office of the Press Secretary
    For Immediate Release
    November 21, 2012

Presidential Memorandum — National Insider Threat Policy and Minimum Standards for Executive Branch Insider Threat Programs

Memorandum for the heads of executive departments and agencies

Subject: National Insider Threat Policy and Minimum Standards for Executive Branch Insider Threat Programs

This Presidential Memorandum transmits the National Insider Threat Policy and Minimum Standards for Executive Branch Insider Threat Programs (Minimum Standards) to provide direction and guidance to promote the development of effective insider threat programs within departments and agencies to deter, detect, and mitigate actions by employees who may represent a threat to national security. These threats encompass potential espionage, violent acts against the Government or the Nation, and unauthorized disclosure of classified information, including the vast amounts of classified data available on interconnected United States Government computer networks and systems.

The Minimum Standards provide departments and agencies with the minimum elements necessary to establish effective insider threat programs. These elements include the capability to gather, integrate, and centrally analyze and respond to key threat-related information; monitor employee use of classified networks; provide the workforce with insider threat awareness training; and protect the civil liberties and privacy of all personnel.

The resulting insider threat capabilities will strengthen the protection of classified information across the executive branch and reinforce our defenses against both adversaries and insiders who misuse their access and endanger our national security.

From a Mexican policy against GM corn to Obama must be a threat to the “national security” of the US.

Oh please, pick a subject. And no the world does not revolve around Barack Obama.

And no narcotics gangs aren’t all part of some Mossad plot–this accusation reads like various ones against the Soviets during the cold war. Read Bearden on Soviet commandos bringing nuclear weapons into the US from the Mexican side of the border.

I’m not one of those who is impressed with the little weasel Putin. He gets his summer homes, drivers, bank accounts and so on, but he is unmistakably controlled by the same people who control the Anglo-American empire, doubt it not. When he crosses his handlers, he’ll go the way of any other disobedient puppet.

“Moreover, there has been a total press blackout on this press release, which is prominently displayed on the White House website. Those we have spoken with at the highest levels of the military and key intelligence and law enforcement agencies indicate they have never seen a statement of this kind and find it shocking.”

More apocalypse theater? The article does bring up some interesting points.

“Though this group was initially tracked down through counter-narcotics investigations, their membership includes at least one major hedge fund, top law firms, major media players and even religious organizations.”

More good news on that front: now Peru has effected a 10 year ban on the importation, production and use of GMOs aimed at preserving native biodiversity, supporting local farmers, and protecting its exports of organic and native products. A food labeling provision is part of the law but gov’t institutions are trying to extend the deadline for a year. [ http://urlin.it/3760f ] Let’s hope it isn’t challenged by the NAFTA tribunal. (One of our local markets has featured excellent organic Nazca sweet onions and many of the 3000+ varieties of potatoes.)

      Margaret,

Look for a major earth quake any day in Peru. LOL.
