They're already calling this a flower, but it doesn't look like one to me. But anyway, itis a strange looking little "something":

    Whatever it is, it has the “peace sign” from the ’70s on it. Peace man….as in Chech and Chong. It must have been some peace party to blow the whole place up. By the way, there is an obvious statue head, with a beautiful face, lying right out in the open on Mars. I can’t believe it isn’t all over the blog- sphere. It can be seen in the Mars McMurdo landscape pic. I can’t attach here, so if you want to see it , send request to [email protected] I’ll get it to you. It cannot be mistaken for a natural erosion phenomenom.

    update on that ‘flower’ on Mars . . . not a fossil, not biological . . . water in the past but no flowers on Mars

    That’s a stretch – don’t see a ‘flower’ there. Too bad the hand lens couldn’t get closer. Looks more mineral, like mica, than a decayed piece of organic life.
