Many of you saw this and sent it to me, and I must admit, I am both not surprised, but shocked, at the same time. In one sense, it was entirely predictable: if one can imagine a Jurassic Park with revivified and cloned dinosaurs roaming the modern world, why not what many presume to be a human ancestor? The ancestor in question is Neanderthal man, and the techniques are now well known in synthetic biology:

Interestingly enough, the author sees the same connection to Frankenstein and the same cultural and social implications that I felt when I read the first opening paragraph of the article.

    Hmm? Did you do or have some info about IG Farben perhaps the brotherhood of the Bell. Gone you say? I don’t think so just sort of rematerialized in the form of the AMA and the FDA!

    You know through paper clip at first! But now makes sense when you think of all the underhanded methods and corruption of modern medicine in America!

    At least when I look at them I have a better understanding of why they are so corrupt! Do I have any proof? I say the proof is all around us if you just open your eyes not hard to see evil anymore but good and or righteousness is a hard thing these days.

    What a wonderful tool this would make in the hands of evil ingenuity such as that which thrive within the hallowed cloisters of DARPA….a Golem super-weapon to fend off commies, islamists and any other nuisance that dares raise its democratic head within their fascist market place.

    The patent office must be swamped with applications from the churning, vacuous minds burning the midnight oil on this one.

    Perhaps we could synthesize a uterus, caused to grow within the petri of, adventurous, Professor Church, 58, who can then carry his own homunculus to term.

    Its obvious Professor Church, 58, has been nibbling on Monsanto nibblets far too long.

    Would we turn these Neanderthals into a slave class and also use them as lab rats for all kind of exprements we are not to be trusted with these technology.
