EARTHQUAKES AND THE IONOSPHERE

I am truly deeply indebted in this blog to the research efforts of Ms. P.H., who kindly shared the following links with me. When I read the abstracts, I knew this was another of those finds (of Ms. P.H., once again), that had to be shared here.

But first, some background.

As most of you know, I have entertained on this website, in various books of mine (most notably Babylon's Banksters, The Grid of the Gods, and Covert Wars and Breakaway Civilizations), that there is a technology of artificial earthquake production. Indeed, I have also speculated - unbeknownst that many scientists were seriously pursuing the line of research - that ionospheric signatures might presage or accompany earthquakes that were artificially engineered.

Now here is what Ms. P.H. turned up: two scientific papers and their abstracts, which are in themselves fully self-explanatory:

Ionospheric anomalies observed over South Korea before Tohoku earthquake

And the abstract of that paper:

"We investigated the ionospheric anomalies before Tohoku earthquake that occurred near the northeast coast of Honshu, Japan on 11 March 2011. Ionospheric anomalies by the total electron content (TEC) derived from a ground-based GPS network in Korean Peninsula were detected during the daytime within a few days before earthquake. It is found that ionospheric TEC anomalies appear on 5, 8 and 11 March. In particular, ionospheric disturbances on 8 March represented a remarkable increase in TEC. GPS TEC associated with Tohoku earthquake had a positive property with an enhancement of about 20 TECU. This positive correlation is revealed in local and global TEC variations simultaneously. To investigate the pre-earthquake ionospheric anomalies, the space weather conditions such as solar activity index (F10.7) and geomagnetic activity indices (the Kp and Dst indices) are taken into account. We have also created two-dimensional TEC maps to show the spatial variations of ionospheric anomalies before earthquake."

Now in case you're wondering, March 11, 2011 was the date of the Fukushima disaster, which, in Japan, is known as 3-11, just as 9-11 is known over here. That, of course, implies the Japanese may think 3-11 was more than just an accidental earthquake, and indeed, we have covered that possibility here on this site.

Then there is this paper showing a similar ionospheric signature before the Paral, Chile earthquake, an earthquake I have long suspected to have been artificial in origin:

Ionospheric density variations recorded before the 2010 Mw 8.8 earthquake in Chile

And the abstract:

"We present a study of plasma density variations observed by the DEMETER spacecraft in the vicinity of a very powerful earthquake in Chile. This earthquake of moment magnitude 8.8 occurred on 27 February 2010 with an epicenter located at 35.85°S, 72.72°W. Data recorded 10–20 days before the main shock along orbits close to the future epicenter show increasing plasma densities. In a second step, a statistical analysis with DEMETER data has been performed using the first 3 months of the years 2007–2010 to monitor density variations in the vicinity of the epicenter at the same local time and seasonal conditions. This study shows that a large increase of the plasma density is very uncommon at this location and at this time and that the increases observed during the days before the main shock could be considered as possible short-term precursors of this powerful earthquake."

Now in the second case you'll note that the journal publishing the paper and making its abstract available online is The Journal of Geophysical Research and that it is under the sub-department of space physics.

While the abstracts do not assign any causal relationship between the two phenomena, they clearly argue that they are associated, and that, at the minimum, detection of such ionospheric disturbances constitute a powerful predictive tool for earthquakes.

Now...tie EISCAT or HAARP activity to these ionospheric phenomena, and you have an argument. Why? The piezoelectric stress at faultlines is bound to be enormous; all one might need to to trigger an earthquake is to "tickle" that stress via ionospheric activity and/or a standing wave phenomenon in the earth itself, and, voila, one has a niftily targeted earthquake. And that, of course, is an argument that these ionospheric heaters are for more than what we've been told.

Thanks to Ms. P.H. for finding these important studies...they're yet more evidence in a growing body that would indicate that some suspicion hangs over the large earthquakes of recent and unhappy memory.

See you on the flip side.

Joseph P. Farrell

Joseph P. Farrell has a doctorate in patristics from the University of Oxford, and pursues research in physics, alternative history and science, and "strange stuff". His book The Giza DeathStar, for which the Giza Community is named, was published in the spring of 2002, and was his first venture into "alternative history and science".

I would be interested to see if there is any similar data in existence for the period leading up to the Indonesian Tsunami disaster on Boxing Day 2004?

Well, just to pry open our points of view before we nail HAARP to the cross.

Charles Fort devoted 2 books, New Lands and Lo!, to his observations, culled from 100 years of scientific journals, newspapers and meteorological data, that earthquakes are virtually always associated with unusual meteorological and atmospheric occurrences. Mostly, these are meteor showers, fireballs, and falls of dust (not attributable to any volcanic eruption.)

I KNOW, I KNOW. What could meteor showers have to do with earthquakes. The beauty of Fort is that he just presents the data, OVER AND OVER until you stop thinking he’s nuts.

I’ve read his collected works several times now, and I can’t seem to fault his logic, methods or conclusions.

If Fort is right, then the same ones who faked the moon landings have faked a lot of what we think we know about the solar system and the stars.

Actually, I hate Fort. Thanks to him I have no certainty about anything.

Very happy someone brought Fort up. Everyone on this site owes it to themselves to read fort but also an author named John Keel. A modern Fortean, he wrote some of the most open minded and creative books I have ever read. Thomas Bearden has to be brought up while discussing this topic of weather/earth manipulation….he has been talking about the deliberate induction of NATURALLY OCCURRING events… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XWGVasLFXI

“Actually, I hate Fort. Thanks to him I have no certainty about anything”-

I don’t hate anybody but thanks to Dr. Farrell, Peter Levenda, Graham Hancock, David Icke, Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson, Lloyd Pye, David Paulides, Dr. Melba Ketchum, Gordon Duff, Kerry Cassidy (throw Bill Ryan in there too), Randy Maugens, Richard Dolan, Richard Hoagland, Richard Sauder, Douglas Dietrich, Jay Weidner, Jordan Maxwell, Duncan O’Finioan, etc. (the list is endless) I bet I have less certainty about anything than you have

wasn’t Nikola Tesla’s “earthquake machine” (labled as such) patented in the 1890s, loooong before the more advanced ‘labled’ EISCAT or HAARP technologies?-

let alone chemtrailing which has been ‘associated’ (none of us really knows this for sure) with HAARP- we’re ‘assumers,’ not insiders-

so I tend to think (assume) EISCAT/HAARP are cover stories for a technology much, much more easier to access (Tesla proved it- without chemtrailing) than we would want to believe- just as I believe (assume) NASA (with all its various terrestrialy-based propulsion systems) is truly a cover story for a more advanced space program a là Gary McKinnon-

    stay well all- regards-

    Larry

You really wonder what the Japanese think about all this? Are the rank and file suspicious of the origins of this earthquake and tsunami? I imagine watching post- 3/11 anime would provide some insight to their current thinking, at least covertly.

        Henry,

“try pre-3/11 anime, a one called “legend of the dragon kings”

Thanks for the tip. I’ve been watching one called “Moribito.” The Japanese really are the last vestige of Aryan culture on the planet. This alone explains why the enemies of Truth and Beauty have been trying to kill them off with radiation. The west certainly has been trying to make them swallow the western cultural poison for some time but the Japanese keep finding some way to spit it out while making it look like they are ingesting it. I first learned about the nazi alchemists from the anime “Full Metal Alchemist.” Benjamin Fullford alleges that Joseph Farrell was recruited straight out of Oxford to be an anime writer and that’s where he got his first education on who really is pulling the strings on this planet (and galaxy). Later, on his leisure time, Dr. Farrell got himself in trouble in the Yakuza run gambling parlors playing dice games like cho-han and was soon indentured to the yakuza and was forced to repair pachinko machines until he convinced the Yakuza that he had the know-how to build them a scalar weapon which he did and maintained for them for quite some time. He quickly became a highly ranked member of the Yakuza and Fulford also claims Dr. Farrell’s body is completely covered with Yakuza tattoos from the neck down.

Eventually the Japanese dowager Empress, the real one who lives two miles below ground and is related to Queen Beatrix, and not the fake one, came across a collection of Dr. Farrell’s haiku and waka poetry which he wrote in medieval Japanese. She was so impressed she bought his servitude from the Yakuza and made him court poet as well as a member of the very secret White Napkin Society. Soon Dr. Farrell grew tired of a diet of seaweed and raw fish and living below ground and he asked to be released. The Empress said she would release Dr. Farrell if he could beat her at a game of mahjong which he did easily. He was then sent back to the United States where he was employed in one Queen Beatrix’s casinos. It was there he encountered a drunk Borman, Kammler, and Ratzinger while dealing black jack and learned of the nazis new plan to take over the world. Dr. Farrell should have been killed but his membership in the White Napkin Society and his affiliation with the Yakuza has kept him alive… so far.

I believe I first heard about this signature from Dr. Farrell. Other sites have pointed out this “signature”, and told of frequency simularities, breaking them down in a “natural vs technology” origin.
The only added complex, to an allready complex arena, is that other “interests” have acquired the same toy.
But no where in this complexx mix is a recipe that calls for a “public” ingrediant, except as an external cost, as in: spent lives & fear factors..

    http://zh.scribd.com/doc/3436120/UN-1976-Weather-Weapon-Treaty

Is it little too “coincidental” that the same year UN drafted “Weather-Weapon-Treaty”, Tangshan, a city just located to the north-east of the Chinese capital was hit by “the largest earthquake of the 20th century by death toll”?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1976_Tangshan_earthquake

“The June 5, 1977, New York Times described the great earthquake which destroyed Tangshan, China on July 28, 1976, and killed over 650,000 people.

Just before the first tremor at 3:42 am, the sky lit up like daylight. The multi-hued lights, mainly white and red, were seen up to 200 miles away. Leaves on many trees were burned to a crisp and growing vegetables were scorched on one side, as if by a fireball.

Some investigators believe these electrical effects were associated with electromagnetic plasma and ball lightning and the strange array of flashes which result from Tesla-style technology and /or HAARP-like transmissions. Was this brilliant flash of colored light what Tesla was talking about in 1935 when he mentioned “all kinds of unique effects²”? Was this earthquake just a test of the system, conducted on the unsuspecting people of China? It certainly does not appear that it was a natural earthquake.”
