THE DEPARTMENT OF PRE-CRIME HAS ARRIVED

A few days ago I blogged about the arrival of a new software program called RIOT that is designed to track multitudes of individuals and all their contacts on social media. There I tied the development to the INSLAW scandal and its development of a similar software architecture in the 1980s, and to Philip K. Dick's idea of a Department of Pre-Crime, made into a movie, Minority Report, with actor Max von Sydow and Tom Cruise. Well, no sooner are the characters typed and the blog scheduled, than I open my email box, and find this sent to me by Mr. V.T., and filed in my "Potential Blog" box:

Philadelphia Courts Begin Using Computer Forecasts to Predict Future Criminal Behavior

Now, when I originally argued and blogged about this topic, it was my assumption that this would occur incrementally, that the current state of prediction would allow only a group prediction effort. But this is not what the city of "Brotherly Love" has in mind at all. Read it again:

"His forecasts, which use an algorithm to predict whether someone will offend again, have been used by city probation and parole officers for about three years, to decide how much supervision a defendant needs.

Philadelphia Common Pleas Court administrative judge Pamela Dembe says the results there convinced her that the computer model could also be a useful tool in determining sentences."

That's right: what must be an essentially statistical model based on aggregate behavior is being used to predict individual behavioral probabilities, and these, in turn, are being used to make sentencing and parole supervision determinations!

In other words, we have effectively not necessarily a Department of Pre-Crime, but we do have a significant step in that direction, in what amounts to a Department of Post-Crime and Parole Predictive Probabilities and Supervision Guidelines... and so on.

You get the idea. We are now arriving at a place where these mathematical models and computer algorithms will start for form "officially sanctioned state-approved sentencing guidelines" - all in the name of science and what some call the emerging scientific dictatorship and technocracy of course - and from there, it will be a short step to applying the same logic as behind the gun-grabbers, to criminals themselves: we can make you safe(r) by (Fill in the blank here) grabbing guns to prevent their misuse  or predicting Mr. X or Mrs. Y has a high probability of committing Crime Z on such and such a date or under such and such circumstances, so give us the power to prevent it by rounding them up. And you'll have good pabulum-puking progressives in the Dummycrook party, and the usual pabulum-puking "conservatives" in the Republithug party, being all for it. We can expect more joint commercials from Newt Gingrich and Nancy Pelosi or similar "spokespersons" on what a grand idea it is.

But we already know what it is. It's nuttery, and we can only hope the good people of Pennsylslovakia will wake up and ask some pointed questions before this gets out of hand.

See you on the flip side.

This is just so wrong on so many levels it staggers the mind. I seriously doubt that the judges and other court officers have any clue about how that statistical modeling software even works, much less if it is accurate or can be manipulated.

This is so unconstitutional it isn’t funny. It is definitely more of the trend of processing people’s lives by computer and robot so the population can be handled as it is decimated. How stupid can people be? The answer to that gets more outrageous every day.

(I would be willing to bet that the infinity that Cantor was contemplating when he went mad was the limit of human stupidity…)

I wonder if the model was built by Michael Mann? Is it Windows based? Would you trust anyone’s life to either of those situations?

A smart defense lawyer could have a field day with this.

On the other hand, parole/probation systems have been using polygraphs, which are pure voodoo nonsense, forever in controlling people after conviction. They can’t be used in court because they are a fraud, but they can be used after court to manipulate people however they want. Insane.

Science is nowhere to be seen. Apparently is has joined Reason to vacation on an unknown tropical pleasure planet….

    “the emerging scientific dictatorship”

And the problem is, of course, that (quoting one of my favorite quotes, though I have no idea who said this first):

“science know much, but ignores . . . . .PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING.”

    PS, and off topic

Richard C. Hoagland’ latest interview at Red Ice Radio is up, and guess what the topic is dear readers “Torsion Theory”, cant wait to listen to it and I’ll bet he does mention the research of Dr. Farrell.

What in the world is this planet coming to, I mean when are people going to go in the streets and demand a cultural change on EVERYTHING.

I know “Vipers of Venice” is coming out later this year, and I’ll bet the good doctor has some juicy tit bits for us, but really, the elites are working overtime on just about every skulldugary idea one can imagine.

Keep them in “fear”, make sure they are watched, make sure that Hollwood movies portray some sort of geopolitical agenda, well I’m sick if it and I think we all are.

Any ideas of what they are going to come up with next?, anyone.

In case any of you are too young to know, some great, soulful protest music came out of Philadelphia. Hopefully Philadelphians haven’t forgotten the apropos lyrics of some of the Founding Fathers of the Philadelphia Sound:

Although Steven Spielberg, the director of Minority Report, is an astounding mediocrity, he is still the designated chief propagandist for the cabal. His Saving Private Ryan signaled a paradigm shift was being fostered on the masses. After twenty years of Hollywood’s incessant anti-war, anti-military Viet Nam movies, war was now to be considered patriotic and the American fighting machine noble crusaders against evil. Not long after the release of this patriotic war epic we had 9/11 and the imperial wars that followed. While I haven’t seen his latest movie Lincoln, I imagine the public is being prepped for a Lincoln-esque drama to unfold in the near future.

    • LSM on February 26, 2013 at 4:13 pm

      Hi Frankie,

I agree with you totally except I’m not convinced Spielberg is 100% “mediocre”- his successful obfuscation of true historical facts (start with his portrayal of Oskar Schindler as actually being a truly benevolent man- not to mention his LACK of “mention” that Oskar Schindler was one of the masterminds behind the Gleiwitz incident, framing Poland, that kick-started WW2) is pure evil genius-

on the other hand he very successfully hides truth labled fiction; “Jurassic Park” as a prototype example if one is aware of the Cremo/Thompson research presenting evidence that we had a co-existence with dinosaurs-

we won’t even start with “ET”…

Spielberg has often stated “I don’t make films to entertain- I make films to comment on important topics”- but he’s a mixed bag; part truth, part obfuscation but definitely wiley-

haven’t seen “Lincoln” either but will probably break down and do so as I have a weakness for Daniel Day Lewis’ acting abilities-

      stay well- regards-

      Larry

        FC—

“Saving Private Ryan” is prowar? Not.

Aliens landed at Devil’s Tower? And Lockheed+TRW were there to greet them?

A beach town in New England was terrorized by shark?

No there was an early made for TV Spielberg movie about environmental degradation and a fascist society that had retreated to underground cities.

        • Frankie Calcutta on February 27, 2013 at 3:11 pm

          Yaj the Impertinent,

“Saving Private Ryan” is prowar? Not.”

The message was: war is good if you are killing nazis (or anyone the banksters designate as the enemy).

After watching Saving Private Ryan it was obvious to me the banksters were done tearing down down the traditional main stream US culture based on cohesion and patriotism, as well as dividing the populace between pro-military and anti-military, and creating a general schizophrenia regarding our national identity which worked so well from the sixties and onward. It signaled an about face where support for the military and patriotism would now be deemed good. Immediately after watching the movie I knew the banksters were getting ready for another war harvest. And I was right.

“a fascist society that had retreated to underground cities.”

Name of the movie please. I’d like to see it.

The arrogant Speilberg, who undoubtedly believes himself to be a national artistic treasure the human race can’t do with out, probably thinks there is a palatial room waiting for him in the underground city. Fat chance. I can picture him right now pounding on the barricaded doors whining at the top of his lungs and trying to get in when either the Sun starts going haywire again or the crazed and resentful goyim turn into lynch mobs and cannibals. He’s the last thing the humanity needs when they resurface to start over again.

An old gem of a sci-fi movie from the fifties on the theme of subterranean Earth dwellers is “World Without End.” In it some 20th century American astronauts accidentally get launched into the future and return to the Earth when the surface has been abandoned after a nuclear war except for monsters and cannibals. The majority of humanity lives below ground where the men have lost all their testosterone. Naturally the macho astronauts from the 20th century become a big hit with the subterranean ladies as they lead them outside to breath fresh air, fool around, and kill cannibals. A classic for sure.

Um you do realize that killing Nazis has been portrayed as a good thing in many big budget well made US films that aren’t “Saving Private Ryan”? (A movie about great sacrifice more than actually war and killing the ememy.)

Then quoting you from above (remember last time you didn’t do too well, because I can read):

“traditional main stream US culture based on cohesion and patriotism”. Thank you for the controlled top down view of what “culture” in the USA is supposed to be, how very Nazi or totalitarian or communist of you. (Of course in a minor way “Saving Private Ryan” plays into the exact mindset you so yearn for, but that’s not exactly the being told to think a certain way that you’ve so advocated here, so IRONY.)

Try learning to think for yourself, not have your thoughts dictated to you by others; it can be hard to actually do that. And I’d speculate that playground bullies like you beat on kids who do that. Confront your urges to conform to the angry ranting reactionaries, who love to cite “‘patriotism”.

          • LSM on February 27, 2013 at 6:55 pm

just my own cheap opinion but I think “Privat Ryan,” being the most graphic, horrific war film I’ve ever seen, was simply intended to numb-down the public to the horrors of war and violence- under the pretense, of course, of just saving one man (Christ figure meme in reverse?) even though the slaughter continues

          • Frankie Calcutta on February 28, 2013 at 7:34 pm

            Yaj,

You made me recall a speech I once heard Steven Speilberg give where he claimed he was the victim of anti-semitic bullying when he was a child in school. I had to laugh because I imagined an annoying, arrogant, talmudically trained prick openly displaying his contempt for all those not “Chosen” and finally instigating the innocent gentiles to lash out at him. I’ve seen this many times myself. And while I don’t condone it, I think we may see this on a global scale one day. Your tribe’s hubris knows no boundaries.

The irony is that while you accuse me of being a bully, I have stood up to bullies my entire life and continue to do so today as when zionist thugs try to stifle debate and intimidate those who would dare question their evil actions. You’d be hard pressed to find a greater bully than Israel and its rabid supporters in this world today including those pests who troll the internet.

“traditional main stream US culture based on cohesion and patriotism”. Thank you for the controlled top down view of what “culture” in the USA is supposed to be”

I never said that is what it is supposed to be. Just what it was and what your ilk deemed needed to be dismantled and turned on its head, if the populace was to be subdued and turned into schizophrenic goyim lapdogs who would mindlessly hand over all the levers of power to your beloved cabal. That being said, do I have fondness for our traditional culture which prized honor and duty? Absolutely, but clearly this type of culture is anathema to your banksters who time and again infiltrate these successful cultures and then devote all their energy to subvert them and bring them down until duty and honor have been replaced with sloth, self obsession, decadence and greed.

A more appropriate and revealing WWII movie that I would recommend would be Neil Simon’s Biloxi Blues. It is the real life experience of two smarmy, effeminate talmudists who get drafted into the US army during WWII and succeed in single-handidly destroying the discipline and esprit de corps of the platoon making it unfit to be sent over seas to Europe for combat in the war, ironically enough, engineered by talmudists to rescue their European financial interests along with millions of talmudists who the host population had finally become fed up with.

      • Frankie Calcutta on February 27, 2013 at 2:28 pm

        Larry,

“mediocre” may have been slightly an overstatement. He certainly has talent in the production and money making side of filmmaking. I watched Jaws and The Raiders of the Lost Ark not long ago and I was surprised at how mediocre they were. They seemed much better when I was a kid. I don’t think a hundred years from now his films will ever be studied for their artistic value. Most likely they will be studied for their propaganda value or possibly relegated to “jewish’ studies along with Jerry Sienfeld, Freud, and Einstein, if events don’t go (or do go) as the banksters have planned.

I agree with you about the Lincoln movie and will see it as well, for the acting and for the propaganda value. I’m always curious to see what the banksters have in store for us. Civil war? An unfinished Presidential term leading to race riots and gun confiscation? The sky is the limit with these nut jobs.

        • LSM on February 27, 2013 at 6:44 pm

“Most likely they will be studied for their propaganda value”- I’m sure you know yourself that Hollywood was created as a propoganda machine- so let’s hope in the future the Disney Studios will also be exposed (as if they haven’t already) for what they really are: getting little kids’ minds easily pre-progammed to accept an agenda that will not serve them in the future

You just need to let go of automatically turning to antisemitic rants when confront with anything you don’t like.

You’ve most certainly tried to say what US ‘culture’ is supposed to be, “cohesive and patriotic” (much like many John Wayne movies.

That you fancy yourself having stood up to bullies doesn’t mean that you aren’t one yourself.

Like a lot of not particularly smart people, especially those who work in finance, you blame every body but yourself for your difficulties.

            LSM–

I don’t particularly think that the movie “Saving Private Ryan” numbed people to violence, that first 20 minutes should make anyone think twice about starting a war.

And I certainly don’t remember any glorification of driving the Germany army out of France; “Saving Private Ryan” aint “The Longest Day”.

In “Saving Private Ryan” there is too much authority following and cohesion for my taste, but that’s what army units do during war–they’ll be jailed if they act like “Dirty Dozen” or “Kelly’s Heroes” types.

    • Elm on February 26, 2013 at 6:35 pm

More important than Spielberg’s Lincoln, is “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.” This is the correct movie metaphor for an insight into Lincoln. To be sure, Abraham Lincoln (“Abraham,” meaning father of our nation) in his day stood against the very same types of people who now posture as champions of his aspirations, those who today cynically exploit the moral currency of his memory. These are true spiritual vampires. Indeed, Obama & his benefactors are the very forces that destroyed Lincoln’s legacy for America – primarily the London & New York Banksters.

So for Obama or any of his associates to speak today in the name of Lincoln, is both a mockery of his memory & pathetically disengenuous – anthema to Lincoln’s single minded goal of preserving national sovereignty & the union of the constitutional republic. Can anyone imagine hearing the words of Lincoln’s address at Gettysberg to the nation, uttered by the likes of an Obama, a Clinton, or a Bush? What globalust would aspire to one nation under God, of, by & for the American people? What globalust could ever pray that this nation should never perish from the earth?

It should be perfectly obvious to all Americans, Obama’s exploitation of Lincoln’s memory is an insult to both Lincoln & the American people, as well as an insult to every American who faught & died for a preservation of the constitutional republic in the civil conflict. To be sure, Lincoln’s war was not against the South per se,’ but against the forces who conspired to divide, conquer & control of what would remain of the constitutional republic through interest bearing debt & economic servitude. Sadly, whereas Lincoln won the battle, with his death at the hands of globalust agents, he lost the war. But the war for human dignity & freedom is without end. There are tyrants who rise up in every generation. And each generation in its own time must rise to the challenge.

Exactly what I thought, when I saw the first commercial/Lincoln slaying the Rothchild vampires, and getting the job done. It’s the BIG reason they whacked him, and JFK; and others, not so well known.
A few books on the justice system, I’ve read, refer to your thesis-
They Own It All(Icluding You!): By Means Of Toxic Currency by Rinals MacDonald
Another book that touched upon the subject, but focused mainly on the politization of justice-
Three Felonies A Day: How Feds Target the Innocent by Harvey A Silvergate.
Basically from what I’ve read, the American Justice systen has been Rawhided:

“Cut ’em out, ride ’em in
Ride ’em in, cut ’em out
Call ’em out, ride ’em in
        Rawhide

        Keep moving, moving, moving
        Though they’re disapproving
        Keep them doggies moving
        Rawhide

        Don’t try to understand ’em
Just rpoe, throw and brand ’em
Soon we’ll be living high and wide

        Rolling, rolling, rolling
        Though the streams are swollen
        Keep those doggies rolling
        Rawhide”

Ask any straight-shooting elite what justice is and the elite will tell you,
        Justice is, just us.

Does this mean that the “minority report software” will start replacing judges?
The “jury system” is currently square their crosshairs/in a manner simular to the Post Office.
In the Postr Office, “they” passed a law to fund retirement, in one fell swoop(replacing the year by year system, with billions in red ink).

    • Margaret on February 26, 2013 at 11:26 pm

What a nuisance the jury system is for criminal injustice and the courts … too much power in the people’s hands. Judges have tried to neutralize the juror’s ability to have a say over the law by misinforming them of their rights. Educated jurors can defy a judge’s instruction and exercise jury nullification to decide not only the guilt or innocence of a person on trial, but the justice and fairness of the law being applied. Jurors can [and should] refuse to enforce unjust laws. Unfortunately few jurors understand that they have this power. Once the psychopath authoritarians get rid of jury trials – and county sheriffs – citizens will have no legal protections and no recourse, but the last resort …

Thanks Robert, the book got a good review on Amazon by ‘Scaramouche’ 😉 It’s a wonder that reviewer gets any sleep … must have his nose in a book 24/7! … Yes, in Texas ‘tort reform’ zealots (the usual suspects) got their crack down on ‘frivolous’ and ‘junk’ lawsuits. The state passed its own version of a ‘loser pays’ bill … “making litigation in Texas fair and expedient.”

The American constitutional system of justice, has been co-opted by Commerce operating under COLOR-OF-LAW — those things (justice) which appear to be but are not. Fundamentally, America today, has no honorable system of justice. The entire system is in dishonor because it does not serve justice, but Interests.
