HERE’S ANOTHER ONE FOR THE GMO SCRAPBOOK

Here's another one for your GMO scrapbook. Apparently independent scientists in France(yes, they still have them there), have conducted a study demonstrating a possible link between GMO modified plants and various cancers, and this one has to be seen to be believed:

New Study Finds GM Corn and Roundup Causes Cancer In Rats

Here's the paragraphs that jumped out at me(in addition to the pictures):

"The results of this new study are doubly concerning. Not only has the consumption of a genetically modified food crop (NK603 maize, which is approved in the US for human consumption) now been shown to cause tumor growth and accelerated mortality, but so has the primary herbicide these plants have been engineered to withstand exposure to: Roundup. GMO plants actually incorporate glyphosate directly into themselves, with the herbicide residues and their metabolites persisting there, making dual exposure to transgenes and herbicide inevitable, and the synergistic amplification of their toxicities likely. Keep in mind, the study used levels of glyphosate "well below officially set safety limits," which nonetheless induced "severe hormone-dependnet mammary, hepatic and kidney disturbances."

"It is a shameful fact of history that Roundup herbicide was once marketed by its creator and original patent holder, Monsanto, as being "safe as table salt."  Now, an accumulating body of research shows that glyphosate, Roundup's active ingredient, is genotoxic and endocrine disrupting -- both hallmark characteristic of many carcinogens -- at concentrations several orders of magnitude concentration lower than agricultural application. In fact, Monsanto has gone to great lengths to deny the emerging Roundup-Cancer link by pouring money into contract research companies like Exponent, who deny its well established harms.

"This newest study provides clear and convincing evidence that GMO agriculture is contributing to cancer in exposed populations. The timing of this new study -- two weeks before Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) -- is all the more fitting, considering that in female animals, 93% of the tumors found were in the mammary glands."

If you're wondering why common sense doesn't prevail in the agribusiness world and its wonderful cosmos of mercantilism, then consider, in connection to the above article, the following, which shows an intriguing overlap of Mon(ster)santo people and government in the USA(and we can only presume similar buyouts of puppets and shills are proceeding apace in Europe, given the EU's recent loony tunes decision to have every petunia grower on the continent register their plants and seeds BREAKING: European Commission to criminalize nearly all seeds and plants not registered with government).

While we're at the wonders of government sponsored eco-system engineering, we might as well mention its program to kill birds and bees (yes, you read that correctly):

USDA Admits Exterminating Birds, Crops, and Bees

But hey, not to worry, we have robo-bees coming down the pike, and where there are robo-bees, can robo-birds be far behind?:

Robobee Officially Takes Flight: Robotic Pollinators to Replace Dying Bees

Granted, the initial article about GMOs and cancer is a bit dated, and granted, I've blogged here about such things before.  But the context here is the important thing, and the context here is saying that greed - apparently now the primary motivator of culture and political action in the West - is the only thing that counts; this is why science doesn't work, and is being short-circuited in the West, why real debate and discussion do not occur, why politics is theater, and why public confidence in institutions in the West is quickly declining.

But the real lesson to take away from it all is that the oligarchs in charge of it all are really, in the final analysis, just insanely stupid, or perhaps, just insane and stupid.

See you on...

Oh wait, one more thing. Those Mon(ster)santo protests? Yea. They happened:

New cables 'expose' US govt lobbies worldwide for Monsanto, other GMO corps

Yea, that's right. You can take it to (hopefully a non-Western) bank and bank it: the next move by the BRICSA nations will be to begin marketing real seeds, the kind that farmers can harvest, while retaining some to replant, the non-GMO kind, the kind they won't have to pay royalties on... and the BRICSA nations will do a booming business with it too, and spread good will in the process. You can bank on it. And you can bank on the "agribusiness" corporations to buy even more mercantilist protections from their governments that supposedly represent the people.

See you on the flip side.

Joseph, just really an excellent report, breathing fire, as it were.

thanks so much for the links.

Well if they’re going 6 ears for a dollar slim chance the sheeple will pass that by. I have a coworker who one day I heard her rant against Monsanto. This is what gets me. She rants against Monsanto but doesn’t spend 5 cents a year on organic food! Can somebody PLEASE tell what keeps middle America out of Bellingham WA”s superb food co-op(or any good co-op). What is their source of discomfort & alienation. It is not only that the coop is perceived to be expensive They have plenty for “powerball” “Slots” etc. There is something cultural going on here… I don’t comprehend. Do they identify it with pro-choice, hippy looking liberal people? Perhaps anarchists & commies? Or is the mainstream population just that dumbed down? IF my co-worker(& millions like her) could only folllow up her rant with the action of going to the coop & committ to at least spending something on sustaining local, regional organic farms we could quickly accumulate more critical mass against GMO’s etc.

Well said, Reno! I think it’s cultural … I shop our [no gmo] food co-op which doesn’t even have an up-charge for non-member purchases [members benefit from specials and year-end dividends]. It’s on the edge of campus and a ‘gentrified’ old neighborhood so the clientele looks academic, hippy-ish, ‘liberal’ and politically active [and healthier btw!], which is a foreign milieu for ‘conventional’ shoppers, not to mention no standard brand name labels. Years ago when I decided to go all organic I started substituting my regular purchases a little here, a little there, esp. when it meant fewer pesticides; sometimes local organic produce was even cheaper than conventional. I was more selective and wasted less. I agree, even a couple of cents more occasionally for local, organic supports the ‘movement’ and community. We have several outdoor farmers’ markets which are well supported by conscientious and loyal shoppers. [At the same time it’s a good way to educate them about food politics 😉 ] It’s taken 20+ years, but momentum is growing and on May 25th there will be hundreds of thousands of protesters in 400 events in 45 countries worldwide and online denouncing gmos, biotech bullies, and multinational corporations. #MarchAgainstMonsanto [Bellingham is listed]

Humans must be helped to recall they are moral & ethical beings, & that America is founded upon moral & ethical precepts. In recalling “who” they really are, maybe they will come to understand the currency they expend & to whom they offer it in exchange, is in substance an expression of their moral & ethical will, intention & sanction as human beings. In the absence of this fundamental recollection & awakening, there can be no real change for the better, & the constitutional republic to a monumental detriment to all humanity, will sadly be swept into the dustbins of history.

What The Declaration of Independence proclaimed, The Bill of Rights enunciated, & the constitution codified, are some of the few values left in the world worthy of our concern & rescue. What America has become is not.

Joseph, maybe this will fit into your scrapbook.

A “naturally” occuring tornado in Oklahoma?

The hidden hands of a criminal cartel by the Oklahoma bombing to 9/11 are all over these events. Geo-engineering & CO2 are covert platforms of a world wide extortion racket. Method: Manufacture the effect & impose the remedy, all the while with the sorcerer’s slight-of-hand, demonizing the public for exhaling, & cows for farting. In other words, there has been a massive effort to obfuscate & misidentify cause/effect. Increased rates of all forms of cancer (which is a fungus), & diseases like Multiple Sclerosis & ALS are no accident but an “outcome” of dimming. It’s good for “business,” & one must never let any illness go to waste. So besides manufacturing the conditions for an increase in CO2, they are also manufacturing an illness “inventory.”

Remember Godfather 1, in which the severed & bloodied head of a Hollywood mogul’s prize race horse is left in his bed to send the necessary message? Apparently, the producer was reluctant to facilitate the stardom of one whom we all came to know. This prominent producer ostensibly had resisted all other attempts at “reason” to give their boy a chance. Well, this tornado could be just one of the matches or heads in the night. Not all businesses or towers are torched for insurance purposes, but because the owners were unwilling to submit to “protection,” a euphemism for extortion.

The 1967 Report From Iron Mountain suggests the cultural & natural environments be intentionally degraded as a useful peace time mechanism for war & manipulation, in this case a war against the American people themselves & humanity entotal. So, a degradation of the environment as an engineered pretext for political control & Corporate extortion was enabled, & has proceeded over several decades on many fronts — a manufactured reduction in sunlight & its correlative rise in CO2 being key.

This is why the globalists presently experiencing difficulty with reconciling their projection of warming with the current evidence of cooling & record breaking low temperatures. This prevents them from being able to Capitalize upon, & move “ahead” with their grand scheme based upon a so-called warming. Essentially, although they have been able to manufacture increased levels of CO2 using chemtrails & a strip-mining & pollution of soils, current cooling conditions are not only a blatant mockery of their script, but a FUNDAMENTAL contradiction.

All that’s occured is, yesterday’s small time gangsters have “graduated” into bigger numbers. And yes, as George Carlin points out, “The Game IS Rigged.” The means & methods haven’t evolved, only the multiplier effect of science & technology has “evolved,” while simultaneously, human intellect & a capacity for discernment has been intentionally repressed & “devolved,” in deference to what may be identified as an old world pathocracy & so-called NWO, that has been sustained throughout the centuries by bloodlines.

Felix qui potuit rerum cognoscere causas
Lucky is he who has been able to understand the causes of things. – Virgil, Georgics, Book 2

The more social a discipline, the more its development is retarded by self-deception. This is a theme that runs deep, very deep in life and manifests itself at all levels. It occurs from gene to cell to individual to group, and it seems(unfortunately), by any and all means necessary. It is very difficult to study, not only because we often lack key evidence, but given the complexity of the subterfuges and our ignorance; both on internal physiological mechanisms of self-deception, but in their subsequent manifestations.

      All this to say, Elm,
I agree with most of what you write, in concept.

Sometimes I do go long & deep to the post
      (pass pattern).

      • Elm on May 21, 2013 at 8:35 pm

Yes, as the Subjective Greek Theory — which posits truth can only be known & defined by convention & one’s personal “flow of perceivings” — surreptitiously was enabled to dislodge & supplant the Biblically based objective principles & injunctions of the American constitutional republic, so too would have the Greek social conventions which give rise to moral pluralism scrambled the Roman mind.

In the ancient world when planets became gods & “capture the gods” was an ancient version of capture the flag. The Greek gods enslaved & assimilated into the Roman Pantheon actually undermined & defeated Rome from within – a “Poetic” Trojan Horse as it were. This same insidious process was enabled in America’s assimilation of Nazi ways & means & agents into the post WWII American intel apparatus under Nazi General Reinhard Gehlen & has in a “Greek Night,” undermined the spirit & intention of the American constitutional republic ever since.

        • Robert Barricklow on May 22, 2013 at 10:43 am

          Your analogy is deadly accurate.
And your “Poetic” Trojan Horse, runs concurrent with the aforementioned deceptive theme, manifesting itself; by means, that are running a “deep-state”.

The West has been dealing out death to every living thing on this planet for along time. Whether it be wolfs first in Europe then around the world thylacines down under. GMOs just another drug to make a killing off it’s only the latest death product they sell and line their pockets. And as I said before read the book not the movie Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Phillip K. Dick. If the West can’t be masters of the world they quite happy to destroy it.

  5. Frankie Calcutta on May 21, 2013 at 8:02 am

And my local box store supermarket is selling 6 ears of corn for a dollar. Considering how expensive all the other produce is, the insane and evil but not stupid death merchants are just giving the cancer away. You just wonder what came first: the cancerous GMOs or the brainstorm to launch a massive cancer industry to one day surpass nearly all other industries in America. I can only imagine those position papers– “Tackling Deindustrialization and a Downsized Workforce in the 21st Century: The Cancer Industry.” “A Cancer Patient in Every Family: How To Increase Family Debt And Make Them Forsake Their Religion.”

And I can imagine the giddy hedge fund managers bragging that they are fully invested in Cancer– Big Ag, Big Pharma, and the medical industrial complex.

Its hard to even express the disgust and despair this kind of news brings. It is best summed up in this classic from Eddie Arnold:

The directors and shareholders of Monsanto should be made to eat their products at every meal.

    • Andreas on May 21, 2013 at 4:03 pm

Tempting suggestion, but no-one should eat this poison…not even them.
