As a non American if someone can explain to me exactly what ‘Obamacare’ is in about 100 words or so I’d appreciate it?

Is it the same, or similar perhaps to the British NHS or Australia’s Medicare systems, respectively – if yes then what is the hoo hah about?

I’m also hearing the word ‘unconstitutional’ a lot when Obamacare is mentioned??

    Cheers.

      It should have been called:
      An Isurance care-bill.

It’s designed for, of, & by the insurance industry.

          Enilit’s Dog’s:

No it is not the same as Australia’s Medicare, or Medicare Canada or Medicare US.

If you’re under 65 and making more than poverty wages, and your employer doesn’t purchase medical insurance for you, you have to buy crappy medical insurance from a for profit plan. The plans don’t cover everything like say Holland, and you can still end up with huge medical debts, but unlike until now the “insurance” companies have to accept you as enrollee.

Depending on your income, the government will pay some of your premiums. And if you’re poor then there’s government program that will pay for decent medical insurance, but only 24 states have fully engaged that program.

For the most part: Those over 65 in the US have Medicare, which is similar to the system in Canada or France.

Veterans with a certain number of years in the US military qualify for care at the VA system–and that system is akin to the system in the UK.

          I guess that’s a few more than 100 words.

The U.S. Medicare system can hardly be compared to that of France or Canada. Initially Medicare USA started out as a step in the right direction, until rogue elements, determined to dash it upon the rocks, became its steering committee, leaving it the lackluster option it appears today, in the throes of a ‘Bait and Switch’ operation to place it entirely within the hands of Wall Street speculators.

As is the case with ALL USA insurance plans, every single one of them is a scam. Once the fish is hooked, followed by a waiting period of a few months to a year, the original policy (bait) is discarded, replaced by revision, which is littered with exclusions, requiring the purchase of additional riders to cover the exclusions – note the additions to Medicare as Part B and Part C.

The big push now, evident by the incessant cornucopia of TV ads, is to steer the ‘little people’ into purchasing even more coverage, outside of Medicare, the picture being painted that Medicare Parts A, B and C are no longer sufficient.

            Where does it end?

The public should stop buying onto these scams. What are they afraid of? That they will have their knee-caps busted if they don’t cough up?

            anu:

Agreed that some powers in the US want to destroy US Medicare. And that US Medicare doesn’t pay as much of the bill as say Medicare Canada, and MedicareUS drug coverage is a corrupt joke from GWBush.

MedicareUS is overwhelmingly popular with those on it. And it is much much much closer to Medicare Canada than anything else in the US, even if private insurers stick their beaks in.

Obamacare is a unique way to transfer wealth from obedient surfs to corporate government tyrants by providing useless insurance with extremely high deductables at wildly inflated prices to everyone. Those who don’t sign up for it are fined and given nothing. Refusal to pay can result in the loss of tax refunds, income and real estate property. Charming, ain’t it!

        RB & RM –

Thankyou both – it’s definitely NOT like the British NHS or Australia’s Medicare lol…That’s one nasty system!!

Health care is a tax, it boils down to a simple equation, ‘THEY’ (those who are against us) are desperate for REAL MONEY.

the two worst anti-virus programs for a PC were/are MCaffee and Norton; both guaranteed to slow down and ravage the guts out of your PC- never had MCaffee but had Norton on my previous PC- what a piece of crap-

I currently use Kaspersky (Russian-based according to “officious story”) and I’ve recieved not one spam/virus, etc. since implementation nor has this anti-virus program ever clogged my PC in any way whatsoever- it’s a “cool tool”- am just saying-

    stay well all-

    Larry in Germany

    • LSM on October 22, 2013 at 10:54 am

ooh, just in passing I forgot to mention that Kaspersky’s German headquarters (hot-line) are located in…Ingolstadt- obviously a coincidence

      • Enlil's a Dog on October 22, 2013 at 8:20 pm

Larry, are you using a paid version or a free version?

Agree with your coments (from personal experience) regarding both McAfee and Norton’s by the way!

      • bdw000 on October 23, 2013 at 9:38 am

There is no doubt that these programs slow down any computer, but any program that runs constantly in the background doing significant work is going to do that.

I’ve never had a problem with Norton (Symantec). But in general you need a fairly good computer (not the cheapest thing you can find).

I”ve got a Windows 7 computer that I built myself 2-3 years ago with fairly high quality parts, and I have no problem whatsoever with Norton.

        • Nidster - on October 23, 2013 at 8:07 pm

Emisoft Anti-Malware, a German based company, stops ANY process from loading and installing unless it is authorized by the computer user.

    • Sagnacity on October 23, 2013 at 6:15 am

Spam in a webmail server has nothing to do with the AV program on your computer.

  4. amunaor on October 22, 2013 at 10:19 am

MacAfee is nothing less than a self-serving predator, so are the owners of Norton Utilities, both of which commandeer the operating system to the extent of making the hardware so constipated that it becomes an absolutely useless nightmare! Just try cleaning up a cleaning up a system infected by MacAfee or Norton.

I wouldn’t install any of their rubbish on my system, nor would I give them the time of day.

They have the perfect fallguy for what they been planning for decades our first nigger president. So making sure we don’t elect if there are future elections any non Anglo as president. No more niggers of any color ever think of sitting in the White House an no safety net slave-serfs.

    • Nidster - on October 23, 2013 at 8:13 pm

marcos, be careful to note Obama is half black and half white, so you’ll have both races coming against any detractor.

Next up? A female president (unless they were an Alaskan Governor).

  6. Sagnacity on October 22, 2013 at 8:54 am

Possible, of course possible to use a dedicated account. It’s not like Amazon has all of my accounts’ information–one MC last I checked.

Of course it’s on Fox “News”.

Then another minor argument for Medicare for all as the medical insurance program.

NY and Cali run their own exchanges.

thats one way of kicking the money changers out of the temple……well done Pharaoh Obama.
