THE SPACE OPERA: CHEMTRAILS, WEATHER MODIFICATION, AND HIGH OCTANE ...

This article was brought to my attention by a regular reader here, and it is important enough that I need to pass it along to readers of this blogsite, and also to make a few comments of my standard "high octane speculation" nature:

Planetary Weapons and Military Weather Modification: Chemtrails, Atmospheric Geoengineering and Environmental Warfare

The perspective of the article is interesting, given all that I've been writing about over the past few weeks about asteroid mining, space collateralization, space defense, and the  possibility that the various factions that comprise The Powers that Be, are ramping up their efforts to create a unified planetary defense system, ostensibly to protect the Earth from asteroids. The perspective of the article, I suggest, is rather two-dimensional, and the implicit reasons being offered for the explosion of technologies capable of engineering planetary-sized systems such as weather (and that's a type I civilization capability folks, if one is following the "Farrell corollaries" to the Kardashev classification system of civilizations) are that others are doing it.

But I suggest that the context in which these efforts must be interpreted is precisely that of space, and the post-war UFO-national security state context. UFO researcher Richard Dolan has very aptly and trenchantly observed that the UFO constitutes the hidden context  - the missing historiographical paradigm - of the development and elaboration of the postwar national security state and "breakaway civilization".  It is to be noted, therefore, that this article traces the development of geo-engineering and weather manipulation technologies to the same period, and more or less to the same source: the national security establishment.

And that implies some high octane speculations, among them, the possibility that such capabilities had to be developed quickly, since the ability to manipulate weather systems implied perforce a human capability to manipulate planetary systems... to leverage that manipulation, as the article points out, by utilizing instabilities and "nudging" them with small energetic modifications to the system itself, which, by its non-equilibrium state, would yield an output coefficient of performance larger than the input. And that, in turn, would perform an important demonstration and send and important message to whomever else may have been watching, namely, that humanity could manipulate vast energy systems, planetary sized systems. It was, of course, a bluff, a bit of "interplanetary psychological warfare and gunboat diplomacy," as I argued in my recent book Covert Wars and the Clash of Civilizations. But it was the most ready-to-hand method of making such a demonstration. It implies, moreover, the ability to so modify the environment of Earth that it might become hostile to any other intelligent life other than human.

In short, the real point of all of the spraying, geo-engineering, and weather system experimentation may have nothing whatsoever to do with defense issues related to potential terrestrial enemies; the real potential target may be directed elsewhere, and may not be a terrestrial one at all. Even if one does not view these technologies along this "defense" related line, there are others that must also be entertained. As humanity is now openly talking and promoting the idea of asteroid mining, as DARPA wants the USA to be "warp capable" in 100 years, as public calls for a planetary defense system against asteroids has now been ramped up, there is yet another possibility. Such geo-engineering technologies not only open unimaginable and horrific military possibilities, but other more benign possibilities arise. The ability to geo-engineer climate, to master and manipulate huge weather systems, implies an ability to modify planetary environments as well, such as on Mars, which has its own unique meteorology, or the satellites of the gas giants, and so on.

Space and whatever, or whoever, is in it, is the hidden factor driving these technologies.
