Interestingly those 9/11 “Puts” would lead to those “in the know”, but were never pursued. In fact, James Bond in Casino Royal referred to the 9/11 puts being part of the “terrorist” group they were pursuing.
So, LibTechBanshee, great point; but “they” will not follow it. If They do, it will be simply to scapegoat some innocent in the mass media. For nowadays Truth has become a revolutionary act. So if someone were to follow the Sniper’s bullet, that person, should he or she get the “goods” – would be suicided.

The “deep state” is a valid moniker for the NATO/Gladio stay-behinds who morphed into efficient tools to terrorize the populace of wayward NATO member states into submission, so that they would embrace right-leaning, acceptable governments. Over the decades, that apparat has matured into a nasty bit of work.
That said, I don’t think the US-backed portion of the Ukraine destabilzation can be so easily pigeon-holed. You have the neocon/zionista Assistant Secretary of State, Victoria Nuland, wife of arch neocon Kagan (alarm bells shrill enough yet?) revealed by the telephone intercept to be a major player and then bragging of $5 billion spent on subverting the Ukrainian state. You have George Soros and his NGOs carrying out same. You have that entity known as Senator John McCain and his cronies doing same (he even shamelessly went to Ukraine to proclaim his involvement).
Why, and to what end?
After some reflection and after having watched events unfold–with Putin’s inevitable soft retaking of Crimea and Obama and Kerry’s embarrassingly hypocritical and impotent protestations–I can only conclude that the aforementioned players unleashed their destabilization primarily for domestic political ends, primary among them to undercut the Obama administration.
Though they may be dangerous ideologues, none of these various far-right plotters are in fact stupid. They knew what Putin’s response would be, and they know the history, ethnic make-up and strategic importance of Ukraine for Russia. They also knew that the US and EU (as in “F*** the EU”) are largely impotent in this situation and can offer nothing but hollow protest once they had put Ukraine in play and Russia reacted.
Destabilizing Ukraine was a no-win gambit from the outset and these plotters all knew it. It was done anyway to achieve several ends, none of them having anything much to do with Ukraine itself; Ukraine is merely the maguffin.
The real purpose of this exercise is to wound the administration and make Obama look impotent on the world stage, to lay the groundwork for a neocon comeback in 2016, to scare the EU and especially wayward Germany and show them who’s really in charge, and to reignite the Cold War, Cold War 2.0, so as to ensure that the Pentagon’s budget is again gorged with pork and that Obama’s draw-down is quickly reversed. Heck, Hagel only announced the draw-down a week ago.
My 2 cents.
You know Basta, you may be on to something there. My only difficulty with that scenario would be the insanity on the part of the deep state to indulge in international brinksmanship to accomplish a domestic political agenda… then again, these people hate the President. I’m certain a far cry from a fan of his, but I’ve suspected ever since that state dinner for the Indian prime minister in his first term, when non-invited people crashed the dinner in spite of his “security,” that that was a message… he’s walking a tightrope and in many respects I feel sorry for him.
Thank you, I greatly appreciate that. And as for the difficulty of believing that a cabal of neocon psychopaths would do such a thing, surely you jest! The PNAC cabal only feel alive when they are gaming the entire world, and they have been ruthlessly swinging the wrecking ball domestically and internationally for well over a generation.
As for Obama, hard to feel sorry. He must have realized when he signed on to play POTUS that the role also came with certain responsibilities and risks, and I truly doubt there was ever any question of true freedom of maneuver. That neocon Nuland sits where she does today shows in itself how compromised the admistration is.
Really enjoyed your analyses basta. Particularly the parts referring to the Gladio stay-behinds evolving(in the EU) coupled with the neon/zionista(talk about trying to put crazys back in a box!) leadership domestically in the US.

West ukraine was originally part of poland,eastern and southern ukraine were part of russia. Regardless of actual ownership the people who populate this region are ethnically and culturally divided by their historical origins and customs and, yes thats right ,their language.Water and oil never mix well unles constantly stirred. when the country splits watch poland become big brother to kiev and wait for germany to pull north western poland back into the fold.

Joseph here beyond oxygen speculation imagine our president having not a African father but a Turtle Island(Native American) ancestry and also imagine like in southern North America to the Andes ethnic make up of the population of the USA. Then imagine not Dearly Plaza but Ekaterinburg massacre of the presidential family also imagine not slaves but helots, Sparta with a veneer of Athens that’s a thought to keep you awake at nights.
The writer has putin all wrong,he knows many western ukrainians are ethnic germans and roman catholics which collaborated extensively with nazi germany. Like in yugoslavia with the croatian catholic nazi collaborators who betrayed the whole country during the war which were countered by the serbian partisans,a russian orthodox based population who fought valiantly against german aggression and occupation. Germany never forgave the serbs for all the trouble they gave their occupying forces which led to the german creation of the KLA assasination squad that started the yugoslav internal confrontations,killing ethnic serbs in other parts of yugoslavia. Their following the same pattern in ukraine dividing the country along the same ethnic lines,you see a mitosis of the country already beginning. When russia reestablishes the ousted president now waiting in russia you will see the people in the east of ukraine line up behind his legitimacy.No referendums were asked for on the european union trade agreement by the protesters,certainly none were insisted upon and this would have been the democratic move. Introducing Gladio forces to turn the legitamate protest into a fire bombed,sniper shooting riot that would leave police and protesters alike dead providing a charge of “crimes against humanity” against who ever is running the government and a reason to forcably depose the government ignoring constitutional procedures. Anyone see a pattern developing here, asitting government is legitamate and the leader recognized by the UN as legal and after a protest begins over some political disagreement and after a few weeks the leader is an international criminal. Doesn’t anyone see the extreme likelyhood that the protests are arranged to do exactly that with the violence beginning with the protesters themselves. Really,firebombs at protests hurled at police? They knew,even calculated the response from the police. Throw a malatov cocktail at the cops in america and see how long it takes for twenty people to die at the protest. Germany wants lebans ruimte—living space and ukraine is large,sparcely populated,its an old story,the russian naval base in crimea is just icing on the cake.

Informative to a point. In reading it, I found myself following along nodding in agreement to a point. It’s difficult to find other views coinciding with mine, …beyond certain parameters.
I find either “mis/disinformation purposely “planted; or, that the writer has swallowed an insidious meme – and is now propagating it, as if “true”.
It’s why I enjoy Dr. Farrell’s writings; in that, if I became infected with such a meme, I more than likely will be able to expunge it in thoughtful Farrell “readings”.

You think that the idiots who run this empire would at lest show they have a mind. But no they’ve never known how to make a honest living rapine and pillage seems like all they can fantasize doing. They seem HELL BENT on playing out a scene from Antigone of Oedipus two sons killing each other off as to who will be MASTER OF THE WORLD between the USA-RUSSIA taking the place Oedcydus and Paracydus pardon for the misspelling but I couldn’t find their names in the dictionary. The Fascist International must be playing the part of Cleon who I think egg Oedipus sons into that stupid action. Seems like the Neocons know their sixty eight years reign of terror over the world coming to a end and like Caddy in White Heat or the dying Chinese warlord who orders his men to kill each other towards the end of The General Dies At Dawn they tried this with Syria and are still trying with Iran they’ve now settled with doing it with Ukraine as the main arena.
