according to my Russian co-worker (very beautiful woman) who has a few/talked to recently Ukrainian friends who have stated there has been no Russian invasion of the Ukraine; Russian troops are on the border of the Crimea (have been there for a long time- but in Russia, not the Ukraine) but have not yet violated Ukrainian territory- make of the info what you will-

I too have followed some of Mr Dugin’s work and especially the Eurosian movement – while as Levantine mentioned, he is just “rumored” to be an advisor to Putin. Dugin has been considerably influenced by, among others, Carl Schmitt and Julius Evola. Schmitt’s “friend/enemy” dualism clearly emerges in the article linked here: “the people” (Russian in this case) are said to “love” certain things/people and “hate” others. As a literary device it certainly simplifies things.
I don’t know if his views have changed recently, but he has been quite influenced by the Italian “Nazi-Traditionalist” philosopher Evola (see my paper on academia.edu), somehow transmuting the exaltation of the “Aryan-Nordic-Germanic” race into an updated version of Pan-Slavism. Thus the mention of various Russian “peoples” and their subdivisions (while intelligently avoiding any use of the alarm-bell word “race”). I am just simplifying, but all the texts are out there to read.
I’m not sure what the effect of this article might be on the educated (discounting the “eddicated”!) US reader , but it should remind the “clash of civilization” crowd that there are some sharp minds beyond the Oder-Niesse Line…

This Show gets down & dirty with Ukraine and what the letter speaks to Americans about, just from slightly different viewpoint.

Nothing new for the last nine to eight hundred years there has been a policy to brain wash people around the world by the Norman conquers. First the Anglo-Saxon-Jutes so what successful, Irish, Scots, Native Americans( Turtle Islanders),African-Americans, Africans, Asians except for collaborators failure. But these oligarchs have always lived in Neverland-Oz dreaming up fantasy islands whether they’re Mesoamerica, Near-Middle East, Western Hemisphere dreams over reality. The real world consist of Afro-Eurasia-North-Central-South-America-Antarctica. Until our oligarchs grow up and stop dreaming may we live in interesting times to quote the Chinese.

I found the open letter very interesting. I have read all I could on the history of Ukraine and Russia. Also the involvement of the west, and in particular the US.

Whatever Dugan’s role in Russia, I thought he gave an excellent overview of the history of the troubled
Ukraine nation. And because of outside interference, I agree with him. Ukraine cannot ever be one people again. Not now that the IMF instigated killing of pro Russian, anti Maidan people has occurred.

And so there will be another NATO held country close to Russia but Eastern and Southern Ukraine will return to Russia. And the hatred between them will continue as I see it.

There is another excellent article at http://www.thebullelephant.com /strategic-reality-ukraine/ .

Actually I consider it vital that we the people understand the history and current situation of each country the west invades. It gives the people a voice we can use against the decision to go to war made by our totally corrupt leaders. Imperialism always ends with overreach. And always the true reason is the lust for more power.

    Thanks for sharing that Joseph.
A good primer for those who haven’t had a lot of history in the area (and I can say that most Americans have practically no history knowledge outside the US).
I was put off a bit by this:
“The Western Ukraine with their pro-NATO position and at the same time a ultra-nationalist ideology and Novorossia with a pro-Russian (and pro-Eurasian) orientation (apparently without any ideology, just like Russia herself).”
I think it’s a bit much to say that Russia has no ideology itself. Indeed it’s trying to position itself as a benevolent empire, trying to patiently guide all of its disparate squabbling provinces into a harmonious chorus of russian-speaking joy and productivity. As someone of Baltic descent, I can tell you that having a Russian “landlord” sucks. Of course, when we had a German “landlord” that sucked too. Not that I think a NATO “landlord” is any improvement. The situation in Ukraine is completely unnecessary. The NATO/IMF wanted to collect some rent so bad, they were very obvious and ham-fisted.
What I can say for sure is that for any of the “former SSRs”, all they wanted was to live within their own language and ethnic and not be forced to tithe much of their production away to others, be they nomenklatura, oligarchs or bankers. Freedom and independence is something that neither western or eastern empires can tolerate for very long. I’ll note that the Baltics had their previous “free period” from 1918-1940, 22 years. And here we are again with Ukraine, 23 years on from one independence, now looking at being “rehypothcated”.

I wasn’t aware of the interview so many thanks for posting this, Rick. I have followed Leo Wanta’s saga for many years and am so glad it’s being brought to national attention. I don’t doubt his amazing story despite the fact that many have tried to discredit and destroy him over the years. It will be a miracle if his wishes are allowed to come to fruition. I pray for his safety and all those associated with him.

As a young man, serving in the Navy, I was given the opportunity to set foot on four continents. Rather than spending this time in a drunken stupor, as most were wont to do, I seized the opportunity to experience and travel each country I visited. What I learned from this is no matter where you go people are people. They accepted me and treated me with respect and I did likewise. It was an educational experience of a lifetime.
What this man is saying is true. I have witnessed it myself.
Every continent has its oligarchy elite. They all seem to share similar aspirations, however, ours and Europe’s, taken together, are by far the most rabid of the bunch.
It is my opinion that they are using the book of Revelation as their playbook for world dominance.
There are forces aligned against mankind which have always existed, call them what you will, demonic, ET, whatever. They have always used the existing technology of the current era as their tool. Governments, religions, philosophy, and science have always been used to control the masses.
We are just starting to realize our current civilization is not the only one that has existed on this planet. We will never know just how many others came before this one. What is apparent, is that none of them have lasted. Either through natural disaster or self destruction all have perished leaving only scattered remnants to carry on after their demise.
Therefore, it is the responsibility of this current civilization to see to it that this does not happen again. It is apparent that we have reached the tipping point of our current civilization. If we continue business as usual, we will soon go the way of those before us and self destruct.
Our future lies in the stars, it is almost within our reach. It would be irresponsible to allow the current evil of our leadership to allow this to happen. If the masses do not wake up soon I fear for mankind. We’re doomed to do it again.
All I can do as an individual is attempt to educate those around me. They can then educate others. Some will never see it. I do what I can and hope others will do likewise.

There is no opposition to the “global oligarchy” by the American people. Rank and file republicans are fixated on Obama and gun ownership. Democrats to their “lesser evil” political view. Pass me the clicker.

    Thanks for the tidbit.

It is a misconception cooked by neocon propaganda that Alexander Dugin is Putin’s advisor. First, if he is, there is no such information publicly available. Is he a secret advisor? You know, the Russians are cunning chess players? Well, look: only a couple of years ago Dugin wrote of Putin as a man without vision, and lamented how 99% of the whole country’s establishment are empty-headed, sold-out pro-Westerners with whom one can’t build a nation-state. That gives you some clue… Dugin is a prominent public intellectual who for Russian circumstances has a very unusual conservative bent. Putin’s advisors very likely read him, so he exerts an indirect influence on Kremlin. But that’s about it, in my Eastern European opinion.

Thanks for the heads up. My real point in posting the remark was just to give people a kind of high overview of history.

Thank you for the heads up! Everything he says rings more true than anything we have heard from our elite or lamestream media.

    • DEBRA on May 5, 2014 at 10:54 am

I feel that the scales are slowly dropping from the World’s eyes so that they can see that there isn’t really an “American oligarchy” and a “Russian oligarchy.” There is just one oligarchy that has been operating since the mists of time. (Ala, Babylon’s Banksters.) And as these scales disintegrate, the desire is brewing in the World’s heart to un-seat its tyrannical harlot.

Before I forget, wanted to mention that the May 2nd holocause at the Labor building in Odessa coincided with a similar event launched by Nazi storm troopers in Berlin back on the same day, May 2nd, in the year 1933:

Quote: “Storm Troopers (SA) and police occupy the offices of trade unions. ”
