I get that the Op-ed is a message from the Anglosphere to the neocons, who have been consistent in pushing their strategy of destabilizing the mid-East on the way to balkanizing Russia and hedge China into another Japan. As I understand it, Kissinger is telling the neocons: back-off, because destablization threatens our vision of a new world order.

But is this a message or a threat? If it’s just a message — a wizened, long-winded grandparent trying to talk sense to a wild-eyed teen — then it makes sense that it would appear as an op-ed in a government-controlled outlet. If it’s a threat, wouldn’t that be better communicated by giving a good hard shake to a prominent neocon vulnerability?

Also, these covert political entities, how is power passed along through generations? It’s been 70 years since the end of the war. How do you recruit and pass along covert power to a new generation? Is that what the Kissinger message is? The old generation passed power to the neocons, and now they don’t like what their offspring are doing?

    Hi,

This video edition of News and Views is absent from Joseph Farrell’s Youtube pages. It’s not on his YT Playlist page and it’s not on the Videos page. I thought I’d let you know that.

To the subject: “Joseph talks about Henry Kissinger’s Op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal…”
The Powers That Be are pretty far from monolithic; they are like mafias, one here and another one there… by this article, the one clan sends a warning to another…..

Mr. Farrell, I agree with you about the divisions among the power elites, and I would also add that much more study is required if we are to get a picture about this that’d be satisfying.

To illustrate the reality of power divisions, we can remind ourselves of the divisions in official politics. (Is it so in the underground politics? Quite possibly, I think.) In official politics, you Americans had a complex set of events called “the Civil War,” at which end the President made an earnest call for reconciliation, for healing of the wounds of all kinds. Then the President was killed and his vice-president showed the most contrary attitude imaginable! Another example: Woodrow Wilson was a dye-in-the-wool racist, very close to the KKK, yet in his writings he made admirable warnings to the nation about the danger from money power, and of the supreme value of the common man. A third example: Adolf Hitler’s right hand & Third Reich’s key manager spent most of his postwar life in close and cordial relations with leaders of Jewish communities.

Are there similar ironies in the corridors of unofficial power? I guess so.

We should ask, What are the bottom lines for each of the mafias in respect to their foreign policy differences? What is the lightest foreign policy misdeed at which the opposition mafia would have had enough and done something, sabotaged the other side or separated itself? Here is the point for which more nuanced studies are needed.
(Also – How far would the neocon vultures go in defying their elder, Kissingerian partners? )
You said Kissinger is basically tied to the Wall Street (the financial power). Reportedly, Wall Street has a dominant role among the Democrats, and it is a Democrats’ government that executes a – neocon agenda. … Counter-intuitive! Perhaps I’m missing something!

So, how much is there a real difference between the power clans? It would be naive to think they’re simply playing a “good cop/bad cop” routine. And it would be equally naive to dismiss the option that they’re doing _something like that_, something _similar_, because it is likely in the character of capitalist oligarchs to keep being together regardless of ideology.

A time will come when the more moderate attitudes will prevail. They might continue with pretty much the same rather than mend what is broken, though.

Ukraine will host US-led military drills named Rapid Trident 14 that will include soldiers from NATO allies: Britain, Bulgaria, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, Romania and also Norway, Moldova, and Poland. This? in a hot civil war zone? A recipe for?

    What’s cooking Doc?

[Western democracy? / I think would be a good idea.]

Kissinger’s last articles(on Syria, Ukraine) and this new one are the message to (how Joseph calls them on video) “Eastern establishment or Anglosphere”, I’d rather call them American national elite despite the fact, that they are international like no one else. Why to them? Because they are key figures who started wars through coup d’etat and intervention. And it was necessary for him to write a book on a subject. Why he’s doing this?
The main goal for this elite is to provide their form of globalization. They articulate it as (New) World order. And Kissinger lists the achievements in his articles: opening national states through economic crisises(1980s Latin America, 1997 Asia, 1998 Russia, 2007 world crisis), destruction of the USSR etc. Pushing harder this project of globalization had became very dangerous for the past years. Сounteraction increases. That’s why “rethinking” needs to be done.
In a simple words Kissinger main tesis is. Westphalia’s system collapsing, Pax Americana is over, industrial revolution ended. And America(elite) should find there place in a new world with pushing forward that same Western project of globalization. American elite(AE) is controlling more than half of World’s GDP. And this order can’t remain. But if AE will continue to parasite, the consequences might be hard for the whole planet. Kissinger offers to give up some resources back to their homeland, in order to have an opportunity to provide Western globalization. And that’s real challenge, and not only for AE, American people but the whole world. For USA – huge budget cuts, question whether elite would share with society; for the world – could other countries and organizations restrain to destroy USA, would the increasing profits in countries form the same order as in West today or it would push the development for humankind?
Kissinger tries to prevent military confrontation because it might destroy the planet. And that’s makes him not a neutral person, but they guy with whom top officials from Vatican, China, Russia, Germany, India monarchy of the UK can sit and talk. Of course, Kissinger made his career in Rockefellers’ institutions and was a protege of very different groups, but now his role is more complex.

You cowards, you all see tis is European royalty telling america democracy ,real democracy is not allowed and certainly not to be encouraged. All european constitutional democracies would fail any true democratic test of their real representative construction. All monarchies are dictatorships dressed up as some sort of royal compromise. BALONEY, all these quazi democracies have escape clauses in their constitutions for the royals,be it for civil or criminal law excemptions to the power of disolving parliment to order new elections where ROYALTY gets to put together a new coalition government after the public votes, not necessarily including the party with the majority of the public vote, how’s them apples? Nato consists of counterfiet democracies and under the table dictatorships and with american style democracy being toted as the cure-all for the trouble area’s of the world this puts an unwanted spotlight on the hypocracy of the Nato coalition”do as I say ,not as I do” If america becomes a police state for the world to see and judge then the european counterfiet democracies will soon come out from behind america’s skirt to be seen by all for what they really are……bastards who claim purity of bloodline, lines that contain incest, moronic idiocy, venerial diseased morality, tyranical and treasonous leadership, fraudulant and flagrant oppression of it’s people, and mental illness for centuries.

Kissinger’s admonition sounds more like the telling off the Duchess of Cambridge probably got from the Queen et al, when the wind blew her dress up and showed she had gone commando that day: Subtlety has gone out the window and your secrets are in the open for all to see.

Democracy has been shown to be a lie that allows people to believe in the illusion of(some) control for all. Most people buy in because it really would be a good way to live…if human nature didn’t get in the way and render people lazy and greedy. But too many groups around the world have been exposed to the dirty underbelly of democracy – that America is more like the home of the hypocrite than the free – and no one could possibly want what democracy has been revealed to stand for: Americans drunk with power and stealing everything they can get their hands on, with no respect for anything especially what they don’t understand (which is a lot).

It must be rather sad for Kissinger and his puppeteers to see a brilliant idea go to waste like that. Had those in power in this country during the last 20 or so years not become so drunk with power that they lost sight of the original goal (NWO), they could have had the rest of the world eating out of their hand, had they behaved in a manner more akin to the way the ‘average’ American considers decent.

Anthony Wile says the crucial idea in Kissinger’s op-ed is probably, “The celebration of universal principles needs to be paired with recognition of the reality of other regions’ histories, cultures and views of their security.”

Wilde points out that is an ancient strategy, “The rulers of this world going back to ancient times have always used the same formulas. The citizens are made miserable and then presented with a further centralized authority that will in fact aggravate what is already intolerable.”

Hegelian Dialectics the philosophical theory attributed to Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel and his idea related to historical idealistic thinking. Hegelian Dialectics and the more modern terminology of Social Engineering, Perception Management and psychological projection is to control the population. Destroy the individual. Establish a ‘herd mentality’ and stampede the masses into one direction to trample individuals who are a threat, or who resist, or those who need to be eliminated in order for The Plan to move forward.

The real problem is both the ruling classes of both the Western Asians and Western Europeans are savages at heart. Who lust only for power over every living creatures on this planet and torturing them to death for their twisted pleasures. They both think their the chosen ones of the GOD of destruction and murder. Anyway how many of us were taught the Constitution or Bill Of Rights in any school system in the USA public or private. I was in both in Catholic and the NYC public schools.

Kissinger and Greenspan went to the same advanced double speak English classes. Kissinger may be attempting some posterior covering in the case that the AngloSphere’s proxy armies get hammered in Ukraine. To say that the Ruling Elite are at serious odds, detracts from the perfect game they’ve pitched since 2008. A finer bit of subterfuge has not been seen in our lifetimes. Maybe, many lifetimes. We have no good evidence of how deep the rabbit hole goes. Therefore, what happens next, could still be very scripted. One caveat, if there is all out war with mucho destruction, then I would say the Ruling Elite decided to extract a huge price for their downfall by taking us down with them. The question then would be, with civilization destroyed, who would pick up the pieces? I’m guessing 3.0.Inc.

I don’t know why, but I think there is another theme to what Kissinger said. It may be messages being sent, BUT I suspect that the message is being “smudged” in order to “mask’ the real theme, and that theme is “space”. Joseph has spoken at length about the Breakaway Civilization and it’s agenda, if Kissinger is privy to the space agenda, then the message may be to say “halt” attacking Russia, because Russia has something of great value in the race for space. Whoever gets the high ground in space has a HUGH ADVANTAGE, and this advantage is both economic and military. The message from Kissinger maybe for Obama, but Obama isn’t privy to the collaterization of space and the degree to which the Breakaway Civilization has achieved using the hidden system of finance.
In other words Kissinger knows more than Obama.

    • henry on September 10, 2014 at 9:19 am

I am not sure if “space” is the “real theme” behind Kissinger’s message, but since “Ukraine Crisis” was used as an example by him, then i suppose it’s relevant to mention this development,
      http://rt.com/news/184376-russia-military-doctrine-nato/

according Mikhail Popov, Russia’s deputy secretary of the Security Council,

“Establishing and deploying of strategic missile defense systems which are undermining the global stability, as well as bringing the weapons into space, will also remain major military threats for Russia”.

“Space” is definitely a “theme” for the Russians.
