I was afraid this was going to happen when I first head the news of her illness. Her interviews with JPF were some of the best ever with their relaxed and often humorous tone and often getting into important detail not seen in other interviews with other hosts. They really stand out from the rest.

She will be sorely missed. Thank you GeorgeAnne, God bless and Godspeed on your great journey.

GeorgeAnn was such a sweet soul and very fierce in her defense of the defenseless.

I sent the poem that is posted on her website the “Dogs last will and Testament” to a grieving woman who had a terrible accident with her beloved Springer Spaniel. She said that she could never adopt another dog because of her grief. Upon reading this poem, she adopted two elderly Springer Spaniels through English Springer Spaniel Rescue. Two dogs that she adopted were strays on the streets of Dallas. They were a “bonded pair” one was totally blind doing the best that they could. Someone just dumped them on the streets of Dallas. ESRA (English Springer Rescue Assoc.) had named the two Bogey and Bacall.

I sent GeorgeAnn an email describing this event and told her that all of this happened because of her and her website. She was so happy and grateful for the email. GeorgeAnn said that it made her cry with thanksgiving.

Well, that says it all does it not?

I’ll miss her lovely voice but thankful that I can hear it on her site…..”Good evening everyone, this is GeorgeAnn Hughes and this is the Byte Show and we are so blessed to have with us ……”

God’s speed GeorgeAnn and as I said to you, I will meet you at the Rainbow Bridge where animal lovers will meet their beloved pets when the pass over.

Thank you Joseph for your friendship with her that has such far reaching effects. Rather like the pebble dropped in a pool of water as the ripples continue to move….

I was also interviewed by GeorgeAnn Hughes and will miss her greatly. I had given up on radio interviews because of the actions of another radio network, but GeorgeAnn invited me on and let me talk on a lot of areas. She even gave me a special page so people could learn about the research I do. In time, I even let her interview me about the Bible Codes. However, what set GeorgeAnn apart was how she reacted after I was in a horrific auto accident (numerous law enforcement officials said I should have died, my SUV was struck by a teenage drunk and drug-infested driver doing 118 mph). She encouraged me to make a comeback and we even talked about it on the air. My sons referred to her as “Aunt GeorgeAnn” and were stunned by her cancer and death. I pray someone can step in and take her place.

To both Joseph and George Ann (her family members also) .. You have NO idea how much the Byte Show attributed to my expansion of knowledge .. I loved her innocence, her quiet wisdom, her love and compassion for animals and her gorgeous laughter .. Her fight is over and we all now have an angel that we can trust to continue the good fight for peace, justice, honesty, compassion and all the grand things that make us human .. Always remembered … the Universe is yours now George Anne ….. Travel well.

It is hard at these times, however we are very privileged to have her legacy in the MP3 files of all the interviews. She, as Joseph said, was a shining light for truth, and sought this truth. through asking people the tough questions nobody else wanted to ask. In as much as I am saddened by her passing, I can forever listen to her in those interviews and remember a great lady with a huge heart.
George Ann, travel well, you are now with spirit, and will have that spirit forever, you will be sorely missed

I am feeling very sad that this precious diamond of expression and free thinking is not among us any more. As other have mentioned, dr. Farrell, GorgeAnn guided me into your work. Listening to your conversations, bying the books, reflections, waiting for another conversation about issues you both were deep into. It made my day, my month, and opened my mind to look at the world from different angles; about politic, history, science and religion – all interconnected.

Now she has gone, I miss her. But her legacy will last forever.
    RIP,GeorgeAnn,
    Dag.

I am so saddened by this loss. I found GeorgeAnn because of Joseph, but I pushed her “paypal” button every single time she put up one of his interviews to show support for his work, and for hers. I highly respected GeorgeAnn and loved her “love-ly” Spirit and sweet humor and even her heavy sighs…

Joseph, please accept my sympathies for the loss of your friend. I feel the loss and I didn’t even know her. I know that you two became close over the years, and I know this hurts very much. My heart goes out to you, as well as her son, John.

I also know that GeorgeAnn was ready to go. She sent a limited email to some of us recently that I interpreted as basically asking for permission to “give up the good fight and just cross over.” So, for her sake, I am glad that she is no longer in pain and her Spirit has been released to the Source of Her Being.

R.I.P. GeorgeAnn Hughes. You MADE A HUGE POSITIVE DIFFERENCE in the world and you WILL be missed.

I am here because I was steered this way by listening for years to the Byte Show.

I am saddened, but I am enlightened, thankyou George Ann, you did make a difference, a big difference.
