THIS ONE IS TOO BIZARRE: THE MARATHON BOMBING AND ISRAELI POLICE

This one is so bizarre any way one approaches it, that it's not even funny. Indeed, I don't even know where to begin. That something is rotten in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts concerning the Boston marathon bombing seems evident to most thinking people, listening to the media report now this, now that "fact".  We have been witness to the almost pathological glee of certain talk show hosts, itching to blame it on the "radical right" (meaning all the "gun-toatin' Republicans and militia people and yellow-dog Democrats in the "red" states"), two poison letters, one to a senator, another to … [Read more...]

YOU ASKED: HE’S BACK! THE RETURN OF THE INIMITABLE MIKE FLANCHERED

You asked for him and he's back: Mike Flanchered returns for an interview of Joseph Farrell and his new book: … [Read more...]

GRAB YOUR FAVORITE FORM OF ALCOHOL AND SIT DOWN: ANOTHER ONE FOR THE TRANSHUMANIST SCRAPBOOK

This one was sent to me by Ms. P.H. (thank you!), and when I read the abstract, I literally swallowed. But before we get to that, I want you to turn the page back a few days to President Barmitt Obromneyack's announcement of a new "Manhattan Project" to map the human brain. We were reassured that such a project might lead to unique insights and cures to dreadful diseases like Alzheimers', Parkinsons' and other neurological disorders.  Why, we might even find ways to kill glioblastomas  and other deadly brain cancers. Thank goodness for the caring compassionate concern of the … [Read more...]

MAGNITSKY ACT ACCORDING TO PUTIN

There is an interesting article over at the Huffington Post and the implications between the lines are well worth considering in some depth. The article is here: Magnitsky Act, U.S. List Of Alleged Russian Human Rights Abusers, Could Have 'Very Negative Effect' On Relations, Says Putin Now I want to draw your attention to a few paragraphs in this article that will concern us here: "The Magnitsky Act is named after Sergei Magnitsky, a lawyer who died in a Moscow jail in 2009 while awaiting trial on tax evasion charges. Relatives and former colleagues say he was jailed by the same … [Read more...]

SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE TO LET THE HINDUS SAY IT; THEY SAY IT SO MUCH BETTER

Today's daily blog was shared with me by Mr. T.W., and sometimes, you just have to sit back, and let others say it, and say it without much additional commentary. When you read this, think of Dummycrooks and Republithugs; think of the local edubbabler in your school, of the obnoxious driver blasting down the street in his restored and souped up Monte Carlo, with (c)rap music booming away on a subwoofer that rattles the windows a mile away, sharing his wretched taste in "art" and unrelenting iambic pentameter with all and sundry; think of the banksters in the LIBOR scandal or the mortgage … [Read more...]

PERMIT ME TO RANT, PART TWO: AMAIRICUN EDGYKAYSHUN AND THE COMING FEDERAL STANDARDS

Now before we get started with today's Rant, Part Two, again, my hat is off to those good teachers in the system who know how bad and far gone the system is, and who, in spite of the glittering mediocrities for colleagues that they suffer with, in spite of the mandates and dictates of government eddubabblers and computerized tests, somehow manage to impart an appreciation for history, literature, grammar, science, music, art, or mathematics to their knowledge-starved students. My hat is off even more to those parents who confront the edubabblers, the nutty principals and dumbed and … [Read more...]

PERMIT ME TO RANT, PART ONE: AMAIRICUN EDGYKAYSHUN AND THE STYLE MANUAL

Ok, I confess. It's Saturday morning and I'm in the slow-burn mode of livid and frustrated. I even debated whether or not to indulge in a rant this morning, or to blog about something timely and transhumanist, but I figured everyone would understand if I allowed myself some unbridled ranting time. My rant concerns the ever plummeting standards of Amairicun edgykayshun and the nitwit doctors of edubabble in the teachers' colleges and their compliant lap-poodles in the federal government, and the more-or-less stupid people coming out of teachers' colleges with "certificates" to teach this or … [Read more...]

A PERSONAL, TEARFUL, AND GRATEFUL THANK YOU TO A HUMBLE AND GREAT MAN

It perhaps may seem unusual to follow up the previous eight days' of blogging about banking crises, geopolitics, papal elections, and warp drives with a tearful thank you to a great, and humble, and happy man, but bear with me, as I think you will discover the relevance. There were, in my opinion, two men who more than any other, created all the foundations of our modern western musical culture, whose genius and greatness lay in creating such stable foundations that their legacy remains each time we take time out to ponder the beauty in the Beatles, or in Art Tatum, or Duke Ellington, or … [Read more...]

PLAYING DARPA: GO-ANYWHERE PHASED ARRAYS

This is a very intriguing one brought to my attention by Ms. P.H., and I have to comment about it. A couple of days ago, I blogged about the capabilities of ionopheric heaters such as HAARP and EISCAT being used to map gravity waves and to modify terrestrial and space weather conditions. HAARP and EISCAT are both phased antennae arrays, and HAARP, as most people are aware, is a field of such antennae near Gakona, Alaska. Phased antennae arrays are basically antennae that broadcast their signals slightly out of phase with each other, so that the signals themselves, when "added up," can be … [Read more...]

PLAYING DARPA WITH A NANOVALENTINE’S DAY CARD

You may have missed this one this last Valentine's Day when you were hunting for that special card to send to your special someone, or you may not have seen it.  In fact, you probably couldn't have seen it because it was simply too small to see, but the good folks at phys.org have blown it up for us: A Cupid made of carbon nanotubules: world's tiniest Valentine Let's face it, nano-technology was born, in a certain sense, from the advances in integrated circuitry, with more and more tiny circuits being etched into ever smaller amounts of space. The idea of building small machines to … [Read more...]
