Now here's one that will get your Captain Crunch stuck in your craw this morning, and it came courtesy of V.T.:
Now, you may ask why I'm talking about something so blatantly political. But in reality, I'm not talking about anything political at all, even though most readers of this website know what I think, and how I feel, about the Bush famdamnly. For example, before you sign on to the idea of another constitutional convention ("just look how well the last one turned out!" he said in a fit of anti-federalist pique) just remember that the Bush famdamnly is all in favor of the idea, and that includes its intellectual heavy-weight, Jeb.
No, I'm not talking about anything political. Instead, I'm offering irrefutable evidence of the cultural and intellectual collapse of America and the West. "No, Mr. President, it's pronounced 'noo-klee-ir', not 'noo-kyou-lir'".
So now Mr. Zelensky is Mr. Churchill.
It may surprise some of you (maybe not, I don't know) but I have my issues with Mr. Churchill (think Gallipoli here, he being one of the "experts" who thought it would be a brilliant idea and in fact was the "expert" who came up with the idea). But Mr. Churchill did not assume power in the wake of an American-intelligence-led coup d'etat that overthrew a previously and legitimately elected government that pledged to remain neutral. He did not assume power in a corrupt neo-fascist regime, nor did he arm neo-fascist units. He was not a comedian before he became prime minister, and he did not receive money from nor have any connections with George Soros. He did not invade Scotland, which was a part of his own country, and bombard its cities because of Scottish separatists. He did not arm British fascist units and make them part of the home guard. He did not station secret British bio-warfare laboratories in the countries surrounding Germany, camouflage their activity behind British corporate interests, and secretly send generals to oversee them. Above all, he fought Fascism and Nazism, having warned about the latter almost as soon as he had heard of it. During the 1920s, people thought he was nuts for his warnings, and he remained on the back benches. By 1933, they no longer thought him so nuts, and by 1939, his case - a case he had been making since the early 1920s - was made. And by May of 1940, not only was the case made, but it was clear for all to see, and he was summoned to the palace, and moved into 10 Downing Street, and he led Britain and the Commonwealth through the most difficult period in its history. Mr. Churchill was many things, many of them bad, many of them good. But to his credit, he was not a Mr. Zelensky, nor even in the same category as to invite such a ridiculous, and nauseating, comparison.
As I've said, I can muster a great deal of sympathy both for the Ukrainians and for the Russians in this. What I cannot muster any sympathy for, is for these nauseating accolades for someone who clearly does not deserve them, from someone who clearly has no sense of judgment or scale, and who doesn't deserve to make them. What I cannot muster any sympathy for, is the boobacracy of the western leadership.
Go back to your ranch, Mr. President, and paint. Your day is over.

The biggest problem GWB created for the country, in my opinion, was his hard-core support for the Patriot Act not to mention the endless wars. Having said that, to be fair, Trump has his own blatant, blind obsession with the police. Yes, an overwhelming majority of police are decent people, but the bad seeds need to be acknowledged when they occur.

Going off the intn banking standard for trade is why they went after him so hard, and why Germany recovered from the GrDep so quickly. When ‘international financiers’ finance both sides of a conflict, they keep the conflict running as long as possible. e.g., Cold War, Byzantine/Persian rivalry. When they finance one side against a much weaker side, they forestall victory to prolong the profit. e.g., Vietnam, Iraq/ Afghanistan.
WW2 was a serious issue for international finance, which is why they pushed so hard for victory at any cost, including exterminating civilians. The end result of WW2 was to crush 2 rising nationalist powers that weren’t a part of the international finance scheme, which made room for 2 rising communist powers. Look at all the horrors we went through and inflicted in order to defeat Germany and Japan, then the West just shrugged and stepped aside so that the far worse regimes of Mao and Stalin could rise up. Not just step aside either, but actively helping to make sure those regimes succeeded.

GW Bush and Zelensky have something in common- they were/are parrot-puppets being run by higher powers. Churchill WAS a higher power, he was a prime mover during his times, but not a particularly competent or ethical one.
My take is that Churchill was a puppet as well. He was part of the club as GWB and Zelensky are also part of the club. Competency has very little to do with it. However, vice and the 7 deadly sins have everything to do with it. Being compromised, proper bloodlines and following orders of the real controllers of this realm is basically what qualifies someone as a leader of nations…for a very long time.
Apparently, he was taking money to agitate for war against Germany. But not enough to get him to explicitly denounce the Germans after British signal intelligence informed him of what the Einsatzgruppen were doing in the Sov Union, from very early on in the invasion.
Immutable international power strategy would have had him or someone else going against Germany, anyway. Britain, on the west end of Eurasia had been playing balance of power politics for centuries.
Britain would not have survived as anything but a puppet state if Germany had succeeded in controlling western Europe, and then the western Sov.
