I had to bring this one to everyone's attention for a variety of reasons, most of them having to do with California's recently - and I might add, suspiciously - defeated Proposition 37, that would have required labeling of genetically modified food. As I and many others noted, California was deluged with millions of dollars worth of advertisements, most of which were sponsored by Mon(ster)santo and other corporations up to their earlobes in pushing pathetic products on the market. As I already noted in a previous blog on this subject, the vote on this ballot initiative was called … [Read more...]
TIDBIT: UPDATE FROM JOHN RAPPAPORT ON PROPOSITION 37
John Rappaport has followed up his previous posts about the suspiciously early call on California's Proposition 37 on labeling GMO food with yet another article, and the longer the story goes, the murkier it gets: PROP 37 VOTE FRAUD UPDATE: 3.3 MILLION VOTES STILL UNCOUNTED … [Read more...]
CALIFORNIA PROPOSITION 37 FAILED? OR WAS MADE TO FAIL?
There were a number of state ballot initiatives around the country during the last presidential (s)election, including initiatives for the recreational use of marijuana, and in some states, measures to nullify the Federal law of mandated health insurance purchase under "Obamacare." These types of initiatives only reflect the growing disenchantment around the country with increasing encroachments of federal power on individual liberty, and it is a movement that, in my opinion, is only going to grow, as more and more Americans wake up to the fact that the Supreme Court is not the final arbiter … [Read more...]
TIDBIT: RAPPAPORT ON THE “DEFEAT” OF PROPOSITION 37
John Rappaport has posted some reflections on what really needs to be done about Proposition 37, and I completely agree with him... it's time to spread this to other states, and if at first defeated, try try again, and it's time to demand paper ballots, and to scrutinize all aspects on this issue: YES ON 37 CAMPAIGN REFUSES TO CHALLENGE VOTE FRAUD! … [Read more...]
INDIA MAY BAN GMOs FOR TEN YEARS
India may - and in my opinion probably will - join a growing list of nations banning Duponzanto's and Mon(ster)santo's hideous GMO foods. And let's be honest, their products are hideous, they are producing human suffering, and the track record of persecution of farmers, complete and total disregard of human life, and of the science increasingly challenging their own product, and their own abysmal track record on every level, makes these corporations truly hideous as well. But this article spells out even more dangers, one of which Mon(ster)santo and like-minded "agribusiness giants" are … [Read more...]
MON(STER)SANTO GOOSESTEPS ON: PART TWO
Yesterday I blogged about the incredible recalcitrance of the French and Russians, daring to maintain there are dangers in GMO food and, in Russia's case, actually banning it from the country. (Oh, I can hear it now on See BS News, on CNN(See No News), or Faux News: "there goes that neo-Stalinist crypto-communist authoritarian hardliner Putin again, standing in the way of democracy and capitalism"). It's just another case of the French and Russians being difficult as usual, right? Wrong. Consider this one (and again, a whole bunch of you emailed me this one: many thanks!): Shock … [Read more...]
TIDBIT: REFERENDUM ON GMO LABELING IN CALIFORNIA
My thanks to my friend Mr. V.T. for forwarding this to me: Proposition 37 on the California ballot his November calls for labeling of GMO "food" products. It will be interesting to watch the antics of Duponzanto spokesmen explaining the health benefits of their "products" when a growing dataset of research indicates poor testing, the usual government corruption and collusion with the mega-corporations in suppressing evidence, and the usual mercantilist policies, etc etc., and it will be interesting to know, with our wonderful computer voting machines and "fraud-proof" elections (or is that … [Read more...]
