Normally I am about as skeptical of The New York Times, The Washington Post and other mainstream rags as I am about the Warren Commission and other "official" explanations. But this one is so interesting I have to pass it along, and it comes courtesy of Jon Rappaport's website: Even the NY Times is now rejecting Monsanto GMO science Now, I have to admit to a certain amount of "I told you so" gloating here. For one thing, I was the enfant terrible in my middle and high school biology classes, always asking the unwanted question of our Darwinian textbooks: if the giraffe evolved a … [Read more...]
MORE FOR THE TRANSHUMANISM SCRAPBOOK: NANOTOOLS AND SUPER-PROTEINS
Here's a couple more items for the transhumanism scrapbook courtesy of a regular reader here, Ms. P.H. The first of these is a new application of nanotechnology to neuroscience, in the mapping of brain activity of various species, including humans. The abstract of an important paper says it all: "Neuroscience is at a crossroads. Great effort is being invested into deciphering specific neural interactions and circuits. At the same time, there exist few general theories or principles that explain brain function. We attribute this disparity, in part, to limitations in current methodologies. … [Read more...]
MORE FOR THE TRANSHUMANIST SCRAPBOOK: TODAY, “DE-EXTINCTION,” TOMORROW, “RE-VIVIFCATION”? AND FULFILLMENTS
When Dr. Scott de Hart and I were writing Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas, we had long discussions on the implications of the the genetic technologies that we were seeing, along with nanotechnology and robotics. Our conclusions were, I suppose, illustrated by the subtitle: what we were seeing was an alchemical agenda, an ascent back up the esoteric ladder from animal, to vegetable, to mineral, and finally, to androgynous immortal man. There was, we thought, an implicit underlying long-term goal: the technological end-run around mortality in all its forms. It sounded … [Read more...]
ONE FOR THE TRANSHUMANIST SCRAPBOOK?: A PREGNANT EWE IN NIGERIA DELIVERS… SOMETHING
Well here's one for the transhumanist scrapbooks, if true. Apparently in Nigeria a pregnant ewe was found to have a...well, partially human feotus: Sheep delivers 'human' foetus in Minna Now, while I tend to be skeptical of such stories on the one hand, it doesn't take one very long to search on the internet for serious articles on genetic engineering of chimerical "manimals" and "humanplants" and so on. This one caught my eye, however, for a rather different reason. Let's assume, for a moment, the article is true, and indulge in some speculation. As the article indicates, it is the … [Read more...]
ANOTHER DARPA-ESQUE MERGER: 3-D PRINTING, STEM CELLS, AND TRANSHUMANISM
This one was sent to me by my co-author in Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas, Dr. Scott D. de Hart, and it made me think even more just how prophetic Percy (not Mary) Shelley's 1818 Frankenstein really is: 3D-Printed Human Embryonic Stem Cells Created for First Time One really doesn't know where to begin here. Dr. de Hart and I wrote at some length in Tranhumanism, and I have commented here on this website often enough, about the DARPA-esque combinations of emerging technologies. We are familiar, of course, with the implication that each emerging technology - genetic … [Read more...]
NOW IT’S FRANKENFISH
As most of you know, I've been very concerned on this site about the phenomenon of genetically modified organisms entering our food supply. While I have talked mostly about Duponzanto's genetically modified crops - and the government and legal abuses accompanying them, in Transhumanism: A Grimoir of Alchemical Agendas my co-author Scott de Hart and I also talked about the modification of animal organisms. Our concerns when we wrote that book were about the possibility of engineered genetic mutations jumping from one species(the genetically modified plant) to another (humans). And I have also … [Read more...]
AMERIKAN HIGH COURT TO DECIDE PATENTABILITY OF HUMAN GENES
We called it here first folks. In Genes, Giants, Monsters and Men, and again in Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas with co-author Scott de Hart, I have argued that one consequence of the for-the-moment successful corporate bid by such foul entities as Mon(ster)santo to patent their genetically modified organisms is that this would act as a precedent for similar arguments regarding genetic modifications involving the human genome: tinker with it but a little, and that particular tinkered-with sequence becomes a patentable object. Or at least, that's what will apparently be … [Read more...]
GENETICALLY ENGINEERED BUGS
The transhumanist agenda marches on, though, as this article suggests, one might go so far as to view it as a transgaia agenda, an agenda not just to transform mankind, but all life as we know it here on mother Earth, and indeed, the Earth itself: Millions of GMO Mosquitoes Released Without Risk Assessment or Oversight In Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas, co-author Scott DeHart and I outlined how the agribusiness giants used the principle of "substantial equivalence" to bypass concerns about their genetically engineered plants, in order to foist them upon a market without … [Read more...]
NEW DRUG/”VACCINE” IN EUROPE “CORRECTS” GENETIC DEFECTS
Yesterday I blogged about the possibilities opened up by recent Japanese experiments that have successfully produced egg cells from stem cells, and about the implications these emerging technologies spell for what is increasingly looking to be a transhumanist future. There I noted that my co-author Scott de Hart and I argued in our book Transhumanism: A Grimoire of Alchemical Agendas, that much of what the world calls "transhumanism" is really not all that modern a phenomenon, but merely an update of an old, and quintessentially alchemical agenda. One of the things that alchemical texts … [Read more...]
