Here is an interesting article which, if it bears up under scrutiny, may upset the scientific applecart once again: Homo sapiens lived in Eretz Yisrael 400,000 years ago 400,000 years is, of course, directly contrary to the reigning evolutionary and genetic paradigm that holds that modern homo sapiens sapiens came from Africa, and migrated throughout the world, some 150,000-200,000 years ago. Yesterday I mentioned my recent acquisition of "alternative archeologist" Michael Cremo's little book, The Forbidden Archeologist, a compilation of some of the articles and essays he has written over the years for Atlantis Rising magazine. Chapter 17 of this book, "Extraterrestrial Archeology Goes Mainstream" is a thought-provoking little essay on the fact that, like it or not, that "mainstream scientists are moving in our direction"(p. 84), with the "our" referring here to the alternative research community. The past few days I've been blogging about archaeological matters, and yesterday I suggested the ultimate archaeological heresy that the mystery of Teotihuacan would never be resolved until archaeologists looked beyond the Americas to do so.
