One of my favorite places to look in on every day is the Department of Defense's official website and then to look at the contract awards for the day. If nothing else, it's entertaining to see where one's tax dollars are going. Not so entertaining, however, is what those tax dollars actually represent, for what we see is, of course, only the tip of the iceberg. Submerged below the surface is a vast mass of black projects and black budgets that we can only assume are tied to the surface projects that we see.
