A WEEK SINCE THE REPUBLITHUG “FESTIVITIES”

Well a week has gone by since the "festivities" announcing the coronation of Barmitt Obromneyack at the Republithug National Conventicle in the unfortunate city of Tampa, Florida. My heart, and condolences, goes out to all Floridians. Fortunately, I missed viewing the whole event, since I can barely stomach American television news on See BS, See No News, or Faux News (which, I am sure, was all aflutter, heart palpitating, eyes batting) as the sock puppe... er...candidate strode on to the platform to accept his coronation. Frankly, even the thought of watching it made me nauseous, but I am … [Read more...]

NOT A DIME’S WORTH OF DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM

I'm old enough to remember George Wallace, the segregationist (and frankly, blatantly racist) Democratic governor of Alabama in the early 1960s, who defiantly opposed the admission of blacks to Alabama's university system until President Kennedy forced the issue.  Well, Wallace went on eventually to have a change of heart, and, I suspect, it was a sincere one, though his legacy remains tainted by his earlier stances against the civil rights movement.  I am old enough, too, to remember Dr. King's "I have a Dream" speech in Washington DC, and they were words that would eventually change … [Read more...]

TIDBIT: THIS ONE’S JUST TOO GOOD: TEN TOP REASONS TO VOTE IN THIS PRESIDENTIAL (S)ELECTION

Well I just received this one in an email, and it's just too good to pass up. Here are the top ten reasons to participate in this (s)election between Barack Romney and Mitt Obama....er... Barmitt Obrumneyack.....er....whatever their names are, running on the Dummycrook and Republithug tickets: Latest Posts: Zionist extremist Chamish admits Bollyn is right, Zionists did 9/11!! WHY I AM NOT CELEBRATING TODAY

Let's be frank, and honest. Our schools do not educate, they indoctrinate. They do not stimulate critical individual thought and analysis, they encourage conformity, and reward incompetence and stupidity. Our courts do not uphold justice, and clearly are co-opted, and are unable and/or unwilling to maintain the clear intention of the constitution. They throw poor people into privately owned prisons for smoking marijuana while the plutocriminals in the banks and corporations which perpetrated clear fraud in the mortgage crisis that led to the current financial mess walk free and get … [Read more...]

YAWN… JUST ANOTHER PRESIDENTIAL SELECTION CYCLE: AND A MODEST PROPOSAL FOR SOME FUN

Well, sooner or later I knew I had to comment on this, though I've been delaying it for almost a month, because, quite frankly, I'm more than just "sort of" disgusted at the left-right, liberal-conservative (with "moderates" as the convenient synthesis) theme we're hearing again this year between Mitt Blandney and the Republithugs and Barack Ohblahma and the Dummycrooks. First, of course, we're treated to the usual vetting of candidates by this lobby or that lobby, in this case, by Isreal apparently: Netanyahu vets possible Romney VP This wasn't just another trip to Israel And of … [Read more...]

FLASH: SUPREME “COURT” UPHOLDS OBAMA “CARE”

By now you've probably heard that the US Supreme Court has upheld Obama care including the controversial mandate - that's the part where the government can now order you to buy something, a very dangerous precedent. Now I've never been a supporter of Dummycrookery, nor of this President, so, bear that in mind as I comment on my reaction. As I write this, I am listening to a relatively popular "conservative" talk show host rant about the fact that the Court was led by Chief (In)justice John Roberts, a Bush appointee; Roberts will in fact write the majority opinion. The host is acting like … [Read more...]

JON RAPPAPORT ON “CHOOSING” BETWEEN BULLETS OR FLAMETHROWERS

I recently blogged about sending the vote of no confidence in our oligarchical elitist-controlled sock puppet candidates. Well, here's a piece from John Rappaport that pretty much says the same thing. Enjoy: Arsenic or cyanide? … [Read more...]

DECISIONS DECISIONS… ROMNEY? OR OBUMMER? OR VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE

Well, now that Mitt Romney is the presumptive (s)electee of the Republithugs, and our long circus primaries and "debates" are(thankfully) over and the national theater can get on with the usual round of mud-slinging, promise-making, and shenanigans by each party's respective Wall Street sponsored sock puppet can begin ("Don't hold back Farrell, tell us what you really think of them!" "I would, if such language were acceptable in polite company.") It's worth having a little look at some of the "two" parties' candidates respective financing: Top Mitt Romney Donors: Update Oh golly oh gee, … [Read more...]

HEAR HEAR???

Those of you who know me know that I'm bi-partisan, namely, that I loathe the Republithug and Dummycrook parties about equally, with perhaps a bit more loathing for the Dummycrooks, believe it or not, even though I have tended to show my disgust at the Republithugs more often than not here. But I have no love lost for the Dummycrooks either, the party that supported slavery, gave us the Federal Reserve, the Income Tax, and, lest we all forget, the doctrine of un-winnable wars(an idea that the Republithugs have made their own), and government intrusion into health care (thank LBJ for that) … [Read more...]

THE AMERIKAN BANANA REPUBLIC

Mr. V.T. shared this article with me, and I enjoyed it so much I had to share it here, not the least of which becuase I have been blogging the last few days about corruption of one sort or another, from everything including faked bonds in massive amounts, to ridiculous clams that human stem cells are drugs, to agribusiness and court cases. Well, Philip Giraldi has stated the case very well: Corruption and the Citizen, American-Style For me, the central points in Giraldi's insightful article are these: "So the question becomes, why do the American people put up with the venality and … [Read more...]
