Christmas is a magical time, there is no way around it. It is the one festival during the year that we are allowed to drop our guard, and express our feelings and love to those dear to us, without reservation, and without having to adopt the personae all of us have to adopt to cope in an increasingly barbaric and inhuman world. I'd like to take a little time to post some words of thanks: first to all of you for taking the time to comment, offer suggestions or encouragement, and to the many of you who have made donations to help my research. It is sad but true that authors see little return for their efforts; publishers make most of the money, and researching the topics I write about just isn't adequately done by internet sources alone, and books are expensive to buy.
