There's a super-computing race on folks, between the USA, Japan, and Germany, and, for the moment, so far as we know, the USA is ahead (which isn't saying much, since we don't really know what the Chinese or Russians may be up to). During the past months I've been commenting about the geopolitical realignment taking place in the world, but there is one stable feature throughout all this transition, and it is the "special relationship" that supposedly obtains between the US and Israel. The recent assasination of a young Iranian scientist, allegedly involved in that nation's nuclear program, has been only the tip of a nasty iceberg.
