MISCELLANIES OF MALFEASANCE: CYPRUS, THE FED, AND BOJ

This certainly seems the week for news, most of it bad. First there was the bombing in Boston and the suffering that ensued; this occurred on the same day, it will be recalled, as the shorting and stop losses order caused paper gold and silver to plummet. Well, not all news is bad: Cyprus is challenging its Venetian ...er... City of London-Brussels-Frankfurt masters by actually threatening to hold a parliamentary vote on the theft of a percentage of savings accounts on accounts over 100,000 euros: Cyprus bail-out vote stirs fresh jitters as slump fears grow in Europe Now, note this … [Read more...]

CYPRUS, RUSSIAN RE-STRUCTURING, AND GOLD

Now here's two stories from our friends at RT(Russia Today) that put an even more interesting twist on the recent events in Cyprus.  Before I offer an opinion on what they might mean, the articles themselves: Russia to restructure €2.5bn loan to Cyprus Cyprus to finance bailout by selling €400mn of gold reserves Now, let's indulge in our usual high octane speculation: Note that President Putin made the announcement at a joint press conference with German Chancellorin Angela Merkel. Message: Russia and Germany are in solidarity on the crisis, and determined to hold the EU … [Read more...]

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT, IRELAND IS SNIFFING AROUND FOR ITS GOLD

The old Chinese adage has it, may you live in interesting times. Certainly a corollary to that would be: May you see central bank Anglo-American financial-military-industrial-intelligence-covert ops-underground drug-running oligrachies exposed, and in this respect the Germans have certainly been one of the principles in this opera that is somewhere between Die Zauberfloete and Goetterdaemmerung.  But in this Wolfgang Amadeus Wagner libretto, the chorus line is equally interesting, because the list of countries who suspect something is mightily amiss with their gold reserves is growing. First, … [Read more...]

NEWS AND VIEWS FROM THE NEFARIUM OCT 11, 2012

Joseph comments on an article in RT's website on Venetian calls for independence, the secessionist movements in Europe, and a little known though interesting book about America: Venice to rally for independence from Italy     … [Read more...]

ASSANGE, OLIGARCHS, TECHNOCRATS, ECUADOR, AND THE GREAT DEBATE

Yesterday I wrote about what I consider the proper historical and economic background from which to view Ecuador's decision to grant Mr. Julian Assange political asylum. It was, as I suggested there and last week in my News and Views from the Nefarium, a decision based in part upon some shrewd geopolitical calculation on Ecuador's part - possibly and in my opinion probably after quiet consultation with the Chinese, Russian, Brazilian, and Argentinian embassies in that country - and in part from a long and bitter experience with the West and its "aid" in helping "develop" the country by … [Read more...]

CHINA, ARGENTINA, AND GEOPOLITICAL REALIGNMENT, PART TWO: THE “NATO” PERSPECTIVE

I put "NATO" in quotation marks because, as this little blog hopefully will show, NATO has transformed itself into the mechanism of maintaining Western power, and increasing that power over areas of the globe not originally a part of the conception which led to its formation. Let's recall what those two principle reasons were: (1) to present a united economic and military coalition against the forces of the Soviet Union and the Warsaw pact. It will be recalled that Mr. Gorbachev, during the period of the Soviet Union's and Warsaw pact's collapse, elicited a promise from the West that NATO … [Read more...]

WHY I AM NOT CELEBRATING TODAY

Let's be frank, and honest. Our schools do not educate, they indoctrinate. They do not stimulate critical individual thought and analysis, they encourage conformity, and reward incompetence and stupidity. Our courts do not uphold justice, and clearly are co-opted, and are unable and/or unwilling to maintain the clear intention of the constitution. They throw poor people into privately owned prisons for smoking marijuana while the plutocriminals in the banks and corporations which perpetrated clear fraud in the mortgage crisis that led to the current financial mess walk free and get … [Read more...]

NOW IT’S “OFFICIAL”: ROTHSCHILD BANKER ON THE END OF THE EURO

Well now it's "official" folks, the euro is in real trouble, because a Rothschild banker says it's so: Rothschild Banker Calls for End of Euro I have a number of comments, and they are of two natures: (1) the hidden geo-econo-politics going on behind the scenes in the Eurozone meltdown, which focuses on the emerging dynamic between Paris and Berlin, and (2) the conclusions that the Daily Bell draws. So, first the geo-econo-politics. Note the following quotations from the article which, in turn, references Rothschild banker Normal Lamont: "Eurozone leaders are already drawing up … [Read more...]
