HISTORY CHANNEL, KECKSBURG, AND LBJ

In case you missed it, the History Channel ran a show last night on the Presidents and UFOs, from Franklin Roosevelt to G.W. Bush. Of particular interest to readers of Reich of the Black Sun and The SS Brotherhood of the Bell was the short segment that they ran on the alleged crash and retrieval of a UFO at Kecksburg, Pennsylvania in December of 1965, during the Johnson Administration. The show noted that the very day after the Kecksburg incident, the then head of NASA, James Webb, and the Governor of Pennsylvania were flown to President Johnson's ranch in Texas, ostensibly for a conference on the progress(or lack thereof), in Vietnam with members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and Lyndon Baines himself.
Well, if that just doesn't ring true (the governor of Pennsylvania and the head of NASA in conference with LBJ and the Joint cheifs to discuss Vietnam!!??), then consider my alternative. As I outlined in Reich of the Black Sun and further commented in The SS Brotherhood of the Bell, the "Keckburg Acorn" resembles the Nazi Bell in a number of significant data points, such that it is a reasonable speculation to assume that they may have been one and the same object, or perhaps two objects, both products of the same project. If that project remained more or less independent of American (or any other government's) postwar control, then the reason for the high level concern at LBJ's ranch, far from the prying eyes of Washington reporters, seems obvious.
The plot, as they say, thickens...

    Dear Mr. Farrell,

I think I found what you were looking for regarding the Reno sighting.

I happened upon this itme at eBay and bought it:

[An excerpt from NAZI UFO SECRET BASES EXPOSED, a 30-page booklet from 1982, written By Dr. Frank E. Stranges (pages 27-29).

    THE RENO UFO SIGHTING

The following event took place in Reno, Nevada, during a UFO Convention, July 1966, at the Centennial Coliseum.

This “Amalgamated Flying Saucer Clubs of America” Convention included leading researchers: Wayne Aho, Orfeo Angelucci, Dr. Dan Fry, Carl Anderson, George Van Tassel, Gabrlel Green, and myself, Dr. Frank E. Stranges.

It was during this convention that I had an encounter with a Nazi saucer-shaped craft.

    MY PERSONAL ENCOUNTER

On Thursday morning, July 7th, the phone rang in my hotel room. The caller (wishing to remain anonymous). asked me to meet with him before the convention convened at the Centennial Coliseum.

When I met with him, he stated that he had followed my career for many years, and was pleased with my work. He cautioned me to look straight forward, and not to look at him directly at any time during our conversation.

His first question was, “Do you know anything about German Saucers?” I informed him that all I knew was what I had read in UFO accounts from magazines and newspapers.

He then requested that I brief him on the “German UFO Crash” that took place in Helgoland, West Germany. This question was directed to the account that was written and reported at length in my book Saucerama.

He seemed quite satisfied with my narrative on the Helgoland matter. Without warning he said, “Do you know that there will be a German Saucer about one-quarter of a miIe from the Reno Airport Control Tower in the morning?”

“It has already arrived in this area!” (Gabriel Green and several others had reported sighting a UFO high above the city early that morning.)

He further stated that the German Saucer would LAND near the Airport in the morning. Then he turned and left the auditorium.

The following morning I took a taxi to the Reno Airport with a friend of mine. We had the driver let us off on the outskirts of the Airport. Trudging along a dusty road we approached an area that rose slightly and suddenly dropped into a shallow ravine.

To our great surprise, there it was…a saucer-shaped craft sitting on the ground on three short legs.

As we approached the craft, it appeared to be 50 feet in diameter, with a large outer rim. We noticed a ladder leading to a door that slid open.

A heavily built man with a deep scar on his cheek and dark heavy eyebrows stood at the opening. There was a brief exchange of German between my companion and him. He tried to hand us some U.S. currency as he explained that he wanted us to purchase food for him.

He continued to speak in German and I concluded that he was very desperate. As he spoke, he continued to watch the sky like a hawk.

Suddenly, he waved us off and the door slid shut. We heard a hissing sound similar to that of equipment run by hydraulic power. My companion and I turned around and saw a police car approaching us.

The saucer whined like a jet plane coming in for a landing. The outer rim revolved and kicked up dust, dirt and gravel. It left the ground swiftly, however, there was an intense vibration. It then shot over toward the Control Tower and continued on until it was out of sight.

We remained in the ravine until the police car passed us by, and then went back to our hotel room and changed our dirty clothes.

This type of sighting has been reported not only by, myself but many other responsible people from all walks of life in numerous parts of the world.

During my recent visit to West Germany, I was not too surprised to meet certain gentlemen who were familir with my Reno UFO sighting.

They stated that before long, attempts would be made to contact South American Government officials, to establish a trade agreement that would be honored on an International level.

There was a note of caution as one gentleman said that such a vehicle could not be used as a weapon of war. He further suggested that the Aerospace lndustry is in for somewhat of a shock, during this decade.

At this writing, reliable sources revealed that UFO reports have increased in many parts of South America.

Eyewitnesses claim to have seen Nazi Swastikas painted on the exterior of landed craft.

    Best Regards,
    Jerry Hamm

The time for the Kecksburg “acorn” over Elliot Lake, Ontario would have been after sunset and approximately 7PM?? I would like a copy of your latest book. Could you email me at [email protected] when it becomes available and with the details concerning Paypal? eric swan

    Dear Mr. Hamm:

Thanks for the information! I’ve heard of these occasional UFO cases with Germnan speaking occupants, but until I started doing the research for my two Nazi secret weapons books I never placed much confidence in them. I’ve also heard of a similar case that occured in Nevada (near Reno I think), sometime in the 1960s if I recall correctly. But I can’t ever seem to find the reference. If you or any one else out there comes across similar cases, I’d appreciate hearing from you!

    Thanks again.

    Dear Mr. Farrell,

I just finished reading your SS BROTHERHOOD book.

Are you aware of the Everett Clark UFO case from 1957, where Everett claimed he saw strange people, who spoke “like German soldiers he had seen in movies”

    (see full account below)
    —-

From Jacques Vallee’s book, DIMENSIONS (pgs. 69-70):

“On November 6, 1957, twelve-year-old Everett Clark, of Dante, Tennessee, opened the door to let his dog Frisky out. As he did so, he saw a peculiar object in a field a hundred yards or so from the house. He thought he was dreaming and went back inside. When he called the dog twenty minutes later, he found the object was still there, and Frisky was standing near it, along with several dogs from the neighborhood. Also near the object were two men and two women in ordinary clothing. One of the men made several attempts to catch Frisky, and later another dog, but had to give up for fear of being bitten. Everett saw the strange people, who talked between them ‘like German soldiers he had seen in movies,’ walk right into the wall of the object, which then took off straight up without sound. It was oblong and of ‘no particular color.’

In another of the tantalizing coincidences with which UFO researchers are now becoming familiar, on the same day another attempt to steal a dog was made, this time in Everittstown, New Jersey. The name of the town in the second case is almost identical to that of the witness in the first.

While the Clark case had taken place at 6:30 A.M., it was at dusk that John Trasco went outside to feed his dog and saw a brilliant egg-shaped object hovering in front of his barn. In his path he met a being three feet tall ‘with putty-colored face and large frog-like eyes,’ who said in broken English: ‘We are peaceful people, we only want your dog.'”

    Thank you,

Thanks again Eric. The whoosing sound may be significant, as far as my Bell-Kecksburg comparison goes. One thing is that you mention that night became day. as far as I can recall, the Kecksburg object crashed toward the end of daylight and early twilight. Do you remember what time it was approximately?

  6. ericswan on October 26, 2006 at 2:03 pm

The sound was a windy rushing whoooooshing and the shape was a fiery ball. If it was elongate we couldn’t tell as the brightness was extreme. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the height as the road I was walking at the time was straight and the trees were fully grown maples. The object was directly overhead when it passed. This suggests to me that is was close if not life threatening. For the record, one of these events is life changing. I highly recommend that we all “look up”.

Hey thanks for the story Eric! From what I can tell, your boyhood hometown would have been close to the flight path of the Kecksburg Acorn that day. The altitude you guestimate might be off a little bit, from what I can tell comparing maps and so on, but in any case, I don’t know of any other UFOs reported on that day in that area other than the Kecksburg Acorn. Were you close enough to get some idea of its physical form? Also, another interesting question I’d like to ask is, can you describe the actual sound it was making a bit more precisely? I’d be really interested to know.

I have to admit that I saw the Kecksburg object while standing on a dirt road in the middle of the forest with a couple of friends. We actually went directly to the police station and reported what we saw. The phone started ringing off the hook while we were standing there.

My recollection is that the night became day. The object was loud and could be heard before it could be seen. It moved faster than any flying object I had ever seen circa 1965. I was living in Elliot Lake, Ontario at the time and the trajectory took the object from (1,000 ft guestimation over me) to Pennsylvania. I still remember being a paper boy at the time that the occurance made the papers including our particular sighting but that there was no follow up that was satisfactory from where it landed. No pics, nadda..
