Ok, with all the fear pornography running loose with Comet Elenin, this story appears:
I am, as most know by now, suspicious of such stories, for the simple reason that, now, they seem to be cropping up with increased intensity with all the hysteria associated with comet Elenin. Whether or not the cosmonauts saw anything genuine, or experienced some sort of mass hallucination, is immaterial. What is important is that the "angels" were also described as "aliens": "The aliens looked like humans, but were of higher stature. They also had large wings behind their backs and luminous halos above their heads. The creatures looked like angels."
It would be all too easy to plant the story of human-like "aliens," after all, such was the story of George Adamski. And it has long been a favorite of the ufology religion to interpret such appearances as rationalization for ancient myths and stories of angels. Consider also the source: Russia. It is intriguing to me that this story comes from Russia, with a repeat of the story that the Hubble telescope photographed a "space city."
What we're looking at here is, obviously, pure propaganda, but notice what seems to be happening lately, with all the spate of TV shows (and movies) about unfriendly aliens launching sudden and devastating invasions of earth: V, Independence Day, Falling Skies, the Event, and on and on it has gone. From one point of view, it's been a nice entertainment and distraction for the troubles right here on planet Earth.
But I've noticed something, and I'm wondering if I'm the only one: the Elenin hysteria seems to be filling the last two stages of the celebrated Von-Braun/Rosin Affidavit with one fell swoop. For those that don't remember the story, Dr. Carol Rosin maintains that she, as one of Dr. Wernher Von Braun's last professional associates at Fairchild Industries, told her that the elite had a pre-planned program of "enemies," which would allow them to put "weapons in space," presumably weapons of mass destruction (for reasons we'll get to shortly). According to Rosin, Von Braun told her that the first enemy against whom we'd have to deploy weapons in space was the Communists, the Russians. Then it would be terrorists, then "nations of concern"(that's the third world crazies), then would come asteroids on collision courses with the Earth, and finally, extraterrestrials.
Well, how convenient it is to have comets and asteroids in weird orbits, and with even weirder properties that suggest to some that they might be "artificial." One may be looking at a manufactured attempt to kill two birds in Von Braun's affidavit, with one stone: both aliens and asteroids: the aliens "are coming on a comet" in an extinction level event. We'd better get those GRASERS (gamma-ray lasers) up in orbit quickly, and crank up the ionospheric heaters.... well, you get the idea.
