CANNES, France (AP) — European leaders’ long-delayed admission that a break-up of their cherished common currency was a distinct possibility is overshadowing a two-day meeting of the world’s largest and fastest growing economies beginning Thursday in this Cote d’Azur resort.

I Agree that us non elites should talk instead of tearing each other apart when the elites sit on font row lauging there asses off and invigorating themselves because of all the bloodshed.

One of your best videos yet, Joseph. You are absolutely correct. Since Renaissance means rebirth, that is exactly what we are in need of – a rebirth of the best parts of civilization. We need to be calm, centered, rational (although not obsessively so), and most importantly, civil.

I’ve often thought that most of humanity’s problems are caused by Type-A personalities, hyped up and pushing too hard for their ideologies. We need more relaxed, laid back thinkers and dreamers who are willing to pause and reflect on things with an eye toward the natural and harmonious flow of things. People who let their emotions lead are easily led by others.

This is one of the things which attracts me to Taoism (Daoism – pinyin) – it is “spiritual” in the sense of reaching beyond our physical senses in a shamanic manner, yet calm, centered and rational in its approach to such things. It is an experiential approach, but grounded in Nature and the world. Dedicated to balance and harmony, it is deeply rooted in the mystery of I Ching and the binary language encoded within those teachings.

REASON is something to think about even though the Enlightenment transformed itself in a form of IRRATIONAL RATIONALITY or unethical instrumental thinking? Destroying the concept of God and then to go on playing GOD themselves can get one in deep doo-doo! Wont be the last time HUMANITY Ucks up!

Riots – it is my belief that if you get too troublesome an atom bomb might just get dropped on your City, I heard some- where a few military strategists were worried about that in China during the Square turmoil. So if it can HAPPEN in China it CAN HAPPEN here as well! (I heard the ROMANS even put limestone in the soil after they killed every living thing they could to get rid of a NEW-SENSE)

What about those pathological pacifist who are marching off to the cremoriums because they are denying what they already know and are thinking they are going to have a nice, clean shower. ( A shower in this case is the place where they stash all those wonderful Disney-toys called NEW CONSUMER PRODUCTS.)

I am not overlooking the stuff that comes out of us —the middle of the road(ers) who are afraid to say BOO to IMPROPER authority until it’s too late. Scream blue murder because their telephone bill was “adjusted’ upward 1.39 cents but don’t even whimper when a bank robs them of a billion dollars. Screwy emotional responses, I would say?

What Farrell is calling for this video presentation = GET OUT OF THE BOX — boring gingle but still appropiate. I prefer his constant mentioning of OPEN SYSTEM THINKING.

Also, Quasar — don’t apologize for what you believe in. BELIEVING Is better than NIHILISM even if I don’t 100 % believe what I just said.

I am thinking of the main hero in 1984? I read Orwell’s down and out in paris and london and I thought… ? Later on I learned a few things about him?

It is my opinion or interpretation that the Hero in 1984 didn’t just say “I LOVE (or thought) I LOVE YOU BIG BROTHER (in the novel before the bullet followed (ah shame on me for blabbing) because of all that pressure

BUT because someone somewhere wanted US the readers to understand BIG BROTHER CAN DO ANYTHING!! PSYCHOLOGICAL or OTHERWISE!

NO sirrrrreee. BB cant and don’t let anyone convince you IT can. That is what I think Farrell is getting at.

There is a time and place for picking up (sic) A STONE -now isn’t that a marvelous magical word?

Quit frankly — who wants to see that kind of OUTCOME if it can be helped.

I say —- SAY-LA_V as my mother and Doris Day used to sing?

One more thing — I don’t know where WILSON (contributing editor) who wrote in his book really stands – BIOPHILIA.

        Biophilia (def.):

        1.) The love of Life.

2.) The love of LIving Organisms.

3.) The love of Living Systems. (those that enhance Life)

Farrell — would you have any comments to add to the above? If so I would like to read them.

Seems to me it would make for good atheist’ic substitute to replace a fooey MORALITY.

        I pause:

(what WE are TOLD isn’t always what IS truly believed?)

Having said my piece, I was through posting on this entry. However, since you addressed me by name, I will post again.

I am NOT apologizing for anything. The apology I did offer was in case I misunderstood the point that Dr. Farrell was trying to make. Inasmuch as Dr. Farrell has neither corrected me nor contrasted my remark, NO apology is offered by me and my remark stands as is.

  5. paul degagne on October 29, 2011 at 3:21 am

I like the direction of this session.

I first learned about the occult parallel movement alchemy running alongside of and underneath the Development of formal Christianity called Alchemy from reading Carl Jung’s work with it. I sometimes am interested in his Analytical form of psychoanalysis comparing it to Alchemical Processes. I never fully gone with that line of reasoning but little by little I learn. It seems worthwhile to me?

If I hadn’t read some of your work I would think your one of how should I put it — Sons of the Enlightenment. Put another way as John Saul did – Voltaire’s Bastards, but listening to you I know your not. You keep referring back to the big “R.”

There’s still something good left over from that period of History despite all the anti-humanist chatter. The World is in an Ecological Mess because some deciders misunderstood the big “R!” That doesn’t necessary mean we reject everything. (Skim the cream off the top and try not to think about who gets the leftovers = sometimes a good individual policy)

Anyway, I like your explanation of the Reformation as a kind of Migration. I once heard a reason for the Counter-Reformation was because of the Plague? A majority of the good, wise, just of the HOLY ROMAN EMPIRE died leaving a vacuum of opportunity for the not so good and not so wise to take over. I am not an Imperialist but this did give me pause.

However, I see faint traces of TECHOPHILIA when you speak. I know your really AMAZED by the DEVELOPMENTS and want to find out as much as possible in this field of study. I am not faulting you. Some of us love APPLES and some of us ORANGES and some of us even love AVACARDOS, (even certain green vegetabiles on our plate – for e it was mushy lima beans, ha, ha!)

The glass is always half-full and that is the way my personality formed at an age where I couldn’t do anything about it !

I got to REMEMBER TECHNOLOGY can be for the GOOD? i shouldn’t talk. I should know better because my daughter had two liver transplants down in that Medical Technological WONDERLAND hospital in Pittsburg!

It’s just the ‘POTENTIAL FOR EVIL’ that technology brings with it or it’s tail that drags in the MUD which is disturbing. (Blowing up planets — how advanced is IT even if the isn’t self-destruction?)

When I think about it I come to the conclusion the WORLD would have been better off if CHRISTIANITY NEVER EXISTED. Certainly many indigeneous people feel that way BUT I think of all the kindnesses spent in the world when I am in a better FRAME OF MIND and I certainly wouldn’t have wanted to missed out on that part?

I am going to add more in a second post. i don’t want to get timed-out1

  6. naomi on October 28, 2011 at 7:36 pm

I agree. It is a noble direction to take. I’m not sure we have time and the people who cheer children being bombed and maimed while looking at the videos of these horrors are the ones we’re going to have to talk to. I am not very confident about the outcome of this direction.

I’m not sure about how much time we have in this country for discussion.

  7. marcos anthony toledo on October 28, 2011 at 5:46 pm

I wonder what hope is there with these end timer jerks lusting for at lest two thousands years of Armageddon dreams and the coming sky fuher and left and right only dates back to the late eighteeth century France and is a sterile notion anyway.

  8. Citizen Quasar on October 28, 2011 at 4:25 pm

    Joseph,

First: I DO like your books and i find them most educational. It is because of this that I began following this blog.

Second: I see NO way to “reason” with the genocidal maniacs, the so-called “elite,” who are destroying this planet with their stated intention of causing as much human suffering as they can and then their killing off most of humanity. Your call for reasoning with them, co-existing with them, and forgiveness of them I find exceedingly immoral and evil.

Third: If I am mistaken in my understanding that SECOND is your message in this NEWS AND VIEWS FROM THE NEFARIUM then I offer my sincerest apology.

Fourth: If you don’t want me to post on this blog then just let me know and I will go away.

Fifth: If I am understanding you correctly in this NEWS AND VIEWS FROM THE NEFARIUM then i will NOT be posting here much longer anyway.

    Respectfully,
    —CQ

    • lady la la on October 28, 2011 at 9:55 pm

Yes. The comment above is correct. Co-existence with them is absolutely not possible nor acceptable — as they are not capable of “leading” or making decisions on our behalf. Their murderous mindset is that of a narcissistic psychopath who cannot even fathom the basic idea of “respect for all life”. And if forgiveness means sanctioning a compromise then I suggest the idea of “forgiveness” is not being properly understood.

In that same vein, I also must question whether the diabolical treachery that they are perpetrating now and intend to further in the future…. is also clearly understood.

For example, the news reporting radioactive Cesium 137 in high concentration along the West Coast of Canada and the USA — and now in the MidWest and Europe looms over us and is far more important than Mitt Romney, Obama and the fake Presidential election. Yet, Fukushima’s nuclear disaster is being DELIBERATELY downplayed and censored by the Japanese and Western PTB, so the very real threat of global annihilation is simply put on the back burner.
Just THIS one event alone… should set off loud alarms.

We are in the throes of several life and death situations but still imagine we have time for fire-side chats about rigged elections and even the FEDERAL RESERVE… as if any of this will matter when we are blown to smithereens.
This is not a joke or an exaggeration and I too, write this with all due respect.
      Lady LL

      • Citizen Quasar on October 28, 2011 at 10:56 pm

        Thank you, lady la la.

I seldom forgive anyone for anything in the first place but if I do then this is only in response to an apology. The so-called “Elite” have never apologized for anything. That is, unless you count something like disintegrating the WTCs with a molecular disruptor weapon on 9/11/01 as some kind of apology.

It surely looks to me like Dr. Farrell is saying: “We are under attack so let’s bend over and turn the other cheek!”

        Right, Doc. That’ll show’em.

      • paul degagne on October 29, 2011 at 6:31 am

One thought for you lady la la

Have you ever heard of any “SLAVE REBELLION” that worked?

Maybe those Black Jacobians down there in Haiti long ago BUT from what I remember correctly (?) the leader of the country had to give enormous reparations to Napoleon’s France for the damage the french caused. (after all the Haitian Rebel Leader or the george washington of his country -his name doesn’t come to my mind (too much other things up there at the moment) realized his country needed TO TRADE what they got too much of for what they got too little of IN THE WORLD.

LOOK AT HAITI TODAY — Those you want to OVERTHROW have LONG MEMORIES —– just like the MAFIA, ha, ha! and, computers don’t forget.

WE NEED some sort of CHECKS AND BALANCES – little of what Marc-a-velly suggests in THE PRINCE.

We need to learn to live amongst CROCK-A-DILES with GENIUS IQs without them having us for lunch!

        Can we outfox the foxes.

I like to believe that illusion! (it sometimes heals me from my delightful SPITE or blood lust for REVENGE —- I’,m ALL FOR IT!))

        • Citizen Quasar on October 29, 2011 at 9:08 am

There was a guy named Spartacus once. I heard that the slave rebellion that Spartacus started was successful.

In a kill-or-be-killed situation, those who don’t kill end up dead.

        • lady la la on October 29, 2011 at 6:39 pm

I am not suggesting YET… HOW to accomplish what I suggested…. but clearly the whole enchilada is rotten to the core and to imagine that I can make lemonade from rotten tortillas is a gross misunderstanding… if you get my drift.

I suggest it must be looked at from a whole new perspective.
That new point of view, would in itself, be totally REVOLUTIONARY.

Even the psychopaths have a place in society but I maintain they cannot co-exist with us sitting in positions of leadership or power. They must take their place as entities who need rehabilitation — not at the top but at the bottom rung.

Another point… WE are responsible for their rise to power. If WE were more driven by our conscience, they could NEVER have elevated themselves to the positions they are in. So, the first group that needs to improve is We, the People.
          Amen.

I would love to hear your thoughts on my article examining the (non-sensationalistic, nor doomsday peddling) synopsis of Calleman’s work pertaining to today being the “End” date of the Mayan Consciousness Calendar.

    http://wp.me/p1MDQo-aH

Always been a big fan of your work and research,

    namaste,
    Eric

    • Joseph P. Farrell on October 28, 2011 at 3:35 pm

Thanks Eric… I have been very busy (and sick) and have not had time to look…and as for Calleman, I don’t know much about it. I am not, as you know, much of a 2012 fan to begin with.

      • Eric Anthony Crew on October 28, 2011 at 8:23 pm

Agreed, my own thoughts on the matter are more on the esoteric and archetypal message of inner consciousness networks and their rising and falling in natural cycles not easily (or maybe never accurately) quantified by man’s limited perspectives.

I hope you feel better my friend, get some rest in between the work.. but for all our sake’s stick with the work lol.

      • HAL838 on October 29, 2011 at 7:15 am

Yes, Joseph, I can imagine so.
At any rate. it (2012) is upon us
and we shall see what we shall see.

If anything brings on what you call a
        Renai-ssance——-

[I’ve lived long enough to see so many word
changes and found that the dictionary is no
longer to correct you/us, but it follows the
colloquialisms of the day and ANY
(usually political) ‘celebrity’ (often deliberate) changes
        of words that are hundreds of years old;
I am thinking of Condi Rice and her ridiculous
experiment on the foolish public to get everyone
to say “al-Liesssss,’ shifting the emphasis to
the last syllable and “nucular’ was already in some
dictionaries long before Bush’s dyslexia, as a valid
substitute for ‘nuclear’ making only scientists and
        proper English teachers cringe—-]

it will be Nature’s changes in the next couple of years.

I hope your untitled book is not absolete by the time it publishes,
but knowing you 🙂 it will still be interesting, I’m sure.
        🙂

        • paul degagne on October 29, 2011 at 8:28 am

          Dear Hal

I just looked up “RENAI” over at QUACKAPEDIA? I just wanted to see if it was slang or a U-for-ism. It keeps on ‘ POPPING UP under the category of DATING SIM as in those SiM WORLD GAMES?

Yeah, dictionaries are repositories of CONVENTION or CONSENSUS. We need them but what about unconventional THINKERS. What kind of Fortean dictionary do we have –SQUAT!

For some strange reason I keep pronouncing ‘ai’ as if it were ‘al’ making that word RENAL? I once had a speech disability as a two year old child. I couldn’t pronounce english words properly but a kind-middle aged grammar school teacher lived upstairs from us and taught me how to talk right. Sometimes when I get excited it still POPS UP.

back to renai – ssance. To me assance sounds little like seance . Combine the who of them and we have a renal seance!

I try to imagine what a RENAL -SEANCE would look like. (folks —- I don’t know if I am out of line here or if I am crossing boundaries of polite gentlemanly (souly/sorry ladies) speech but I’m try and ADD MORE MEANING that carries a tiny, little thread to what we usually like to read in this web site or farrell’s books.

It was revealed that Mrs. FIRST LADY at the time of Ronald (alzimer) Reagan’s Presidency she used as a source of her information an ASTROloger. I think this caused a stir in some-places. Wives make husbands do and say funny things especially Manikin husbands with early or pre-mature diagnoses.

So am I being IMPOLITE here when I visualize –and first see the spelt incorrectly but phonological SIMular sounding WORD =renai-ssance as RENAL SEANCE?

I CAN even do one better? I wish Obama or especially the Mayor of Chicago would go see an astrologer-psychic and experience a renal seance where instead of organic fertilizer hits the fan something else does!

Laugh these Crock-a-dull-lies to death. They CANT STAND IT!

I can imagine someone saying to themselves, “GET A LIFE PAUL!” I do have a fine one but I’m wish it were better so I am here with youse all in this virtual web-room trying to do just that. I’m retired with much blank space between TIME so I spend it = hopefully and cordually with youse KILLING TIME. Just like Paul Ferabend’s Autobiography called KILLING TIME.

(if we have to kill something and we’re against capital punishment then wHY NOT KILL TIME—–HAL?)

          • paul degagne on October 29, 2011 at 8:51 am

AND no — I do have a life besides sitting in front of computer screen with two-prongs for head. I get out and around when I feel like it. For example, In a hour or two I am going downtown to the LOOP and see if there is any good MISCHEF being planned by the OWS Ocuppiers? If it’s right then I will do my share and take part in it as a good citizen should and must!

Under the weather — below the weather makes no difference to dedicated people like Farrell (it isn’t just all about money, although this is a consideration—his books are reasonably priced, even the used ones).

Personal stuff adds feeling and emotion to an otherwise dry-medium. I am not of the kind who don’t or should I write who does not like to read “personal pronouns” in essay papers because it detracts from Objectivity. If that is (un)professional(ity) then I am moving to Cambridge, England for a while! (besides this aint no university classroom. IT’S BETTER!)

          • HAL838 on October 29, 2011 at 11:22 am

            You picked it apart wrong.
It was a take on “renaissance” the way Joseph pronounced it.
I am older than he is, so I remember it differently, I suppose.

            No offense to you, Joseph.
The American English language seems to always be evolving.

And I also spelled “nucular” wrong.

[I wonder how you spell a non-word wrong; but then
it is in some dictionaries as “nukular” I think !]

            You see that?
I’m with the scientists and spelling teachers,
            cringing as I type 😉

          • HAL838 on November 3, 2011 at 7:54 am

You are too much, Paul, very funny…haha
            🙂
I want to comment on Nancy’s ASTROlogy consults.

It was in the local news in some places, and quickly wiped out !,
that it was a “psychic tip-off” that allowed the SS (ours, not Germany’s)
to get into his rooms/room 2 weeks ahead of time and flound his plans
            to bump off the Pres.
All the film footage of it shown during the week of his funeral was
just about completely ‘photo-shopped’ because of the strangeness
            (to say the least)
of successfully jumping in front of a bullet.
On my news, they showed it over & over and asked,
            “What’s wrong with this picture?”

For starters, you CAN’T jump in front of a bullet unless you know
when and from where it is coming !!!! 🙁
Next, those two cops that ‘jumped’ Hinkley were originally and REALLY,
2 Secret Service “bums” that had been following him for those
            past 2 weeks !
The tip-off was sourced well enough for them to get a warrant to
get into his room and in those days you actually needed one !
‘Authorities’ also could not do anything before hand, no matter
how obvious his plans were found to be.
            They could only find him and they followed him;
jumped him as he pulled his gun, yelling at the SS next to him
            in his ear piece, “NOW!”
            Want more?
When you’re shot in the gut, you do NOT crouch behind the car door,
you “fall down and can’t get up.” In fact, he amost knocked down Reagan
as he dropped to the pavement.
Reagan was hit by a ricochet bullet off the Limo.
            There you have it.
            AND
            Almost doesn’t count.

Well, I’m back after 4 days of ‘lights out!’

          • HAL838 on November 3, 2011 at 12:41 pm

            BTW

Did I mention that contrary to public opinion,
Nancy did NOT have a “psychic astrologer” before that.
So I guess that’s why she went into it, certainly NOT
undersatanding the difference between today’s idea of
of such things and that the genuines don’t become any kind
of [urgh] “psychic” (fraud) *fortune teller*.
