I have a problem with ANY PEOPLE that for
thousand of years, from a small band of settlers
in a few close locations to each other, maybe all
related, calling THEMSELVES “God’s Chosen”
and writing the book that supposedly proves it,
while two Jews! carefully researched the history
AND
archaeology and the beginning of my sentence is all they
came up with.
I should still have the book somewhere and I’ll post
title and authors if I ever find it again amongst
approximately 1800 volumes in my large studio
apartment stacked on tables, in baskets, racks and
a few bookcases !
I know I’m not the first to raise this question;
BUT
Who or what is made in who’s or what [is the] image ?
It is often said that it was man[kind] that made god
in HIS image !
AND
not the other way around.
There does seem to be room for this question in
the fact that, no matter how many gods you bring into
play, they all seem to behave very ungodly and very
much like (nasty, naughty & very mean) ‘humans.’
THE —IMAGE. ( I spent hundreds of hours even a few yrs. STUDYING ARCHETYPAL PSYCHOLOGY or trying to understand what is an IMAGE. Although those people over at PACIFIC COLLEGE IN CALIFORNIA help or lead you to the LABYRINTH after that YOUR ON YOUR OWN! GOOD LUCK SUCKER!
They talk a good-game ABOUT (from a distance) THE IMAGE but as far as being IN THE IMAGE it’s generally no go. (An example you might find helpful is if someone told you the WAY is down that path but when you look at the PATH it’s loaded with SKULLS AND BONES. Now, you can continue pretending like CHILDREN that your walking the path but that is just FLUFF.)
i found COURAGE IS THE ENTRANCE TICKET but who really LIKES FEAR? (not me but without out it what have you got?)
Maurice Blanchot when speaking of IMAGES exposed one hell of a problem with IMAGES (those in dreams). He said BLANK ABSENCE the or the awareness that sees the Image in the dream is NOT YOU. WHAT!!!! That’s IMPOSSIBLE! (Put another way = THE “I” in a dream AINT YOU!!!!!!
If it aint ME than who the HELL IS IT? ( I guess if you haven’t been endowed with a PRE-MORBID DISPOSITION this isn’t fun but you did tell us you had an awful medical condition that isn’t about to go away. BE TOUGH!)
In between the ‘looney tune’ dreams,
I often have and remember quite well,
some very meaningful and easy to
understand [or interpret] dreams.
One of the more recent was when I found myself
in the middle of two paths. I looked in one direction
that was very well lit, but all I could see to either side
of the ‘road’ was desert.
The other was almost black / dark and the ‘road’
was an extremely narrow ledge. I could not see bottom
and it was too dark over the ledge anyway.
BUT
as I looked to the ‘end’ far away, there was
[I hate metaphores and certain archetypes, but here it is]
a beautiful light over a beautiful city.
I looked back at the well lit desert.
No contest.
I started off on the dark ledge.
The ‘dream’ did a very good job in explaining my life
as it has been.
I suppose that, broadly,
you could say that an image is a representative likeness,
which can come in many forms.
I had started reading some “Jung.”
I think he was very savvy especially for the time.
AND
bucking the Fraudian ‘times,’
which we are still in, at least in this very (now) backward country !
I think THAT took courage; although courage is doing or facing
something IN SPITE OF FEAR.
It is not FEARLESSNESS !
But then I doubt that Jung was afraid of Fraud and his ‘popularity,’
or the strange fact that more people have heard of Fraud then
Jung.
Then again, that is the way we are manipulated in this country.
Gotta go.

I appreciate your insight, Dr Farrell, regarding the current state of the nation and the upcomming selection process we call elections. I subscribe to a youtube “expert” who has recently commented along these lines. I find his message strangely truthful of our lot as “21st century enlightened” individuals. I find it amusing that you should attack Yahweh with the WORDS – TWO-FACED?
It reminds me of Joseph Campbells book called “The Mythic Image.” In it he has a picture of a statue of the God Jan or Janus with one face facing one direction and another (same face) facing the opposite direction. (I forget if the statue was Hindu or Roman or both?)
OLD IDEAS (IMAGES) die hard if they die at all. (someone once said archetypes fade away back into the Cave only to re resurrected at some latter date?
Good, most people know what TWO-FACED means at a certain level. I would have used the word APPEARANCES but then again I am not trying to sell a book or spread understandable-information to the most people as possible.
I keep on thinking of Baudrillard’s conception of hypereality where he insists people lost touch with REALITY in this MEDIA WONDERLAND or that reality doesn’t even matter anymore. (I don’t know about that for REALITY HAS A HABIT OF BITING ONE ON THE ASS when ignoring it or when making claims such as this. He’s very successful on the surface so it gives me pause? I think Baudrillard is a bit two faced just like Yahweh, ha, ha! French Intellectuals are the CELEBRITIES over in France.
Besides Baudrillard has made himself into a SIMULATION as well so he cant be trusted. (Listened to yes.)
It’s almost like there are two worlds existing side-by-side? The one for the millions of millions of dupes and then the other for ‘gold-miners” I don’t really believe this for the elite don’t have a monopoly on Creativity. NATURE has funny ways as demonstrated by TRICKSTER MYTHS. Ordinary mortals sometimes have much to offer!
About this “grabbing any citizen they want and shipping them off. It’s was always like that but very COVERT! (why grab people who are insignificant but NOWADAYS they will —- to scare US into submission. ) Now, it seems more OVERT or coming out into the OPEN —–FOR ALL TO SEE or those who have eyes?. One more thing i like to add about ORDINARY PEOPLE that might be of interest. (then again, it might not but I am still the benefuary) It comes from U Eco’s APOCA;UYPSE POSTPONED, first chapter called “Apocalyptic and Integrated Intellectuals: Mass Communication and Theories of Mass Culture.”
In it he has a quotation from Leonardo do Vinci that I am having difficulty understanding. The surface reading is simple enough but the deeper meaning is puzzling or playing TRICKS on me.
It’s as follows:

it would take off something from God’s grace; and truth is so excellent that if it praises but small things, they become noble….
And truth is so excellent in itself, that, even if it dwells on humble

Who is ECO talking to?
You, me or both of us? (I need to re-learn a few more things about READER- RESPONSE THEORY and CRITICISM)
I observed ECO in that interview by a JEWISH MAGAZINE. He laughs just as you have Farrel. Is this just a release of tension at the beginning? Probably so and I tend to believe that. The only problems with that is the Medium SCREEN. Behind that laugh I see things(?) My wife tells me it’s just my IMAGINATION and she’s probably right there but taking the fact that ECO sits on a toilet just like the rest of us – STILL – there is another SYMBOLIC ECO that is beginning to make me WONDER?
WHO IS THAT MAN?

So what is ‘he?’

Haven’t read JPF’s new book but I think the marvelous new work that Michael S.Heiser Phd. has done may nulify many of JPF’s arguements. Don’t rejoice too quickly all ye closeminded ones. Your presuppositions lead you not to consider valid counter arguments. “Tis folly to render judgment before a matter is heard”.
This anti Yaweh point of view is typical of classic Gnosticism. In the Gnostic tradition Yaweh is the creator of the “evil” material world and is the offspring of the lowest form of Aeon Sophia who rebelled against the order of the Light/truth God.
Watch your step, all those seek truth. You may stumble and fall.
You are quick to demonize the justice of Yaweh in the macrosphere but are all for the justice metered out the antibodies which are cruel in their extermination of evil invaders your own bodies (in the microsphere). This in my opinion is two faced! Justice should be favored on all levels even though it may appear cruel. Unless of course evil does not exist!

however, while timing can be everything,
there is also the element of infighting which
you brought up and I agreed with.
I have seen it for a long ‘time.’

out.

The actual science behind 2012 is also NOT in their favor.
