AN INTERESTING PHYSICS ABSTRACT FROM DEAN RADIN

Many of you who have read my books or listened to my interviews, particularly on The Byte Show with George Ann Hughes, will be aware that I have maintained the idea that there is a direct interface between consciousness and the physical medium, including a "group multiplier effect" that needs careful experimental study. To my mind, the possible existence of this interface is one of the most potentially exciting - and dangerous - areas of physics to be investigated.

Enter Dean Radin, long an advocate along with many others (for example, the British biologist Dr. Rupert Sheldrake) of this idea of a direct connection between consciousness and the physical medium. It was Radin who had a major influence in the development of the Princeton "eggs", the consciousness experiments that now famously recorded a major "spike" prior to, and after, the tragic events of 9/11.

I ran across this abstract of an experiment recently performed with the double-slit experiment of quantum mechanics, which I site here in its entirety for its rather breathtaking scope:

"A double-slit optical system was used to test the possible role of consciousness in the collapse of the quantum wavefunction. The ratio of the interference pattern’s double-slit to single-slit spectral power was predicted to decrease when attention was focused towards the double-slit as compared to away. Each test session consisted of 40 counterbalanced attention-towards and attention-away epochs, where each epoch lasted between 15 and 30 seconds. Data contributed by 137 people in six experiments, involving a total of 250 test sessions, indicated that on average the spectral ratio decreased as predicted (z = -4.36, p = 6 x 10-6). Another 250 control sessions conducted without observers present tested hardware, software, and analytical procedures for potential artifacts; none were identified (z = 0.43, p = 0.67).

"Variables including temperature, vibration, and signal drift were also tested, and no spurious influences were identified. By contrast, factors associated with consciousness, such as meditation experience, electrocortical markers of focused attention, and psychological factors including openness and absorption significantly correlated in predicted ways with perturbations in the double-slit interference pattern. ." (See Consciousness and the double-slit interference pattern: Six experiments)

Now read that last paragraph carefully. When all variables and their possible influences were eliminated, the results of perturbations in the interference pattern varied significantly between results obtained by machine "observers" and conscious human observers, with results that "appear to be consistent with a consciousness-related interpretation of the quantum measurement problem." To put it more succinctly, the results of the experiment appear to indicate that conscious observation does indeed affect the collapse of the wave function to a slight degree, and to that extent, consciousness affects reality.

But before we can jump up and down for joy, it is to be noted that this paper has yet to be published, and thus, we do not know the details of the experiment. Whatever else one makes of Radin and his work however, the abstract here is promising, and one hopes that the actual paper will deliver significant enough data to be evaluated properly. Stay tuned folks, this is one to watch.

See you on the flip side...

In the “Exploits of Ninurta” note the phrase “fixed its destiny.” The “Tablets of Destiny” are one and the same as the Philosopher’s Stone IMHO. The alchemist takes the volatile Materia Prima, or his “Mercury” and fixes it into an Earthly stone. Or to take the undifferentiated physical medium, which in its undifferentiated state, could have no destiny whatsoever, because it has no characteristics, and to fix that physical medium into a usable earthly stone, or “Tablet of Destiny”, “Stone of Destiny”, “Stone of the Wise”, “Philosopher’s Stone”. This is just my speculation though. I am not trying to say that I know this to be true. I would very much like to read more of your research on Alchemy. If you look at this timeline, http://www.alchemywebsite.com/timelin2.html the first alchemical texts begin to appear around 1256, with King Alfonso’s translation of a bunch of Arab texts on alchemy, and this act causes the practice of alchemy to grow in popularity. Perhaps the original source of these alchemical texts is the same, as the “Exploits of Ninurta.” In this case, I would say that the “Tables of Destiny” are not the software of the ancient weapon, but rather it is the power source? IMHO though, I think that David Hudson is not a good source of information.

I’m familiar with Radin and it seems to me that there
are so many (!) still in the dark [ages].

It makes me wonder how the ‘revealing’ (Revelations)
and the ‘unveiling’ (Apocalypse) will be accepted…..
There can be no turning back and there is no place for evil
in the future, which is upon us…………..

The [very secret] advances in science border on fantasy,
    yet very real, indeed !
It is time to learn it and turn it to good !!!

Who is ready and who really and truly wants this change?
The [devil] we know rather than life with no devil ?
Who would even ponder this as ‘choice?’

This is reflected in the Holographic universe also…

Magicians tend to regard magic tricks as being like quantum states – destroyed by the act of observing them, and that the greatest magic trick of them all, maybe…

    consciousness.

This is great! I’ve been reading a book by a local scientist Scott Tyson called The Unobservable Universe and much of his ideas are based on the double slit/single slit experiments. Next time I see him I’ll ask what he thinks. I would guess he will love it!

You keep calling it the PHYSICAL medium. This implies that it is made up of physical “stuff,” like rocks and dirt and trees etc.

I have one suggestion: stay open to the idea that it is not physical as we understand the term. It is something else.

I’m not saying I know anything at all about what it is. It just seems to me that what underlies”the physical stuff” is not going to be more “physical stuff.” If the ether were physical, I think it would be a simple matter to detect it using physical means, and so far, officially at least, it has not proven to be so detectable. IMHO.

Dr. Farrell, are you familiar with Art Bell’s “Mass Consciousness” experiments? That was where he asked the audience to concentrate on a particular outcome for various things, like bringing rain to then-draught-stricken Texas, putting out wild fires, and healing a few folks.

At one point, after several apparently very successful experiments, Art got nervous, and actually wondered out loud, “What the h*ll am I doing?!” and shortly after put a stop to the experiments.

I think that was about the time Richard Hoagland had his heart attack in Florida, and Art broke his moratorium and the Coast audience quickly went to work, and Richard not only came out of that situation alive, he also snagged his own personal physician!

Soon Art handed the reigns over to George (pointedly ignoring the Mike Segal era), and strongly urged George not to engage in any more experiments. Can’t recall what happened, but soon George began doing his own experiments. In three of those experiments, he attempted to get the audience to control a hurricane. Two of these experiments worked out pretty well, while the other, not so much.

For the one the one that did *not* work out so well, George had the audience concentrate on taking the hurricane down from Category IV to Category I.

The good news: It worked! The bad news: A Category I hurricane is still a hurricane!

For the one that worked very well, the suggestion the audience was focused on was “The closer it gets to shore, the weaker it becomes.” That hurricane went from Category III down to tropical storm.

Sorry I can’t cite which hurricanes these were; my notes apparently weren’t as well put together as I thought … but they were enough to put together an article for After Dark on the whole thing.

Eventually I put all of these facts

    • Joseph P. Farrell on April 9, 2012 at 3:26 pm

Yes I remember those experiments well…and that is one of many reasons I have always said that there are some things I will never talk about. This stuff is dangerous.

When I was preparing that article, I sent Dr. Evelyn Paglini an e-mail and asked about limiting the unwanted consequences of such operations. She basically said you have to “bind down that not wanted,” which sounded good, but she never actually elaborated on how to do that … but basically when you’re trying to put out a fire by causing it to rain, you want your goal to include something like “keep raining until the fire is out.”

I once accidentally used this power. A few years back, someone that lived in the house I was living in broke into my bedroom and took my two-week-old iBook. One of the denizens of that house was quick to point the finger Elsewhere, but that turned out to be a dead end.

Long story short, I was extremely angry, and every night for the next two weeks, I had dark thoughts. Those thoughts eventually coalesced into “I don’t care WHO stole my laptop. I want them PUNISHED, and I want my laptop replaced, either with the same model or something better.”

After those two weeks, two things happened: One, the woman who was quick to point suspicions away from herself had a run-in with an angry ex-boyfriend, and ended up in the hospital, and two, I got a sudden windfall from my usually low-paying job, which gave me enough to replace that missing laptop with a G4 PowerBook.

At the time, I did not think those dark thoughts and the sudden windfall had anything to do with each other … until six months later, when my young niece explained a few things to me, like pointing out how the woman with the angry ex was on drugs, and how she was very quick to point suspicion away from herself.

Unfortunately, my dark thoughts caused harm to another, and that might have some sort of karmic backlash attached to it …..

The Trickster and the Paranormal —- an interesting book by chance you ever come across it?

I seem to remember a Sci-Fy movie in which Richard Burton played the Actor who had ‘dreams or visions or premonitions’ of catastrophes before they occur. (old hat stuff but still interesting because of the talents of the Actor.)

What I like are those ‘reports’ of passengers getting bumped off plane flights that crash or some stupid situation delays a passenger on the way to the airport to where she/he misses a ‘doomed flight?” (the ‘meaning’ of Life or Death is there?)

I recall in this Trickster and the Paranormal book the author (George P. Hansen) says groups investigating such phenomenon usually don’t “HOLD TOGETHER” for very long? Is this a possible reason Farrell doesn’t have as many consistent web-sight visitors as one would assume considering the nature of some of his material?

SPOOK YOURSELF OUT IF YOU LIKE — What is DANGEROUS STUFF?

You know what Dangerous Stuff is == EVERYDAY REALITY!———- (No, rather because even in direct experience everyday reality is nothing but codified abstraction. Only in the moments of life do we truly stand face to face with the event and, with it, reality.)

I seem to recall (?) the emminant Sociologist Durkhein saying whatever is focused on by a large group of people causes a Structure to come into being?

Forget the past sentence for it was too long ago when I read it and its specifics. [The Elementary Structures of Religion(?)]

All I know is that if you are looking for ‘something’ here (the article’s topic under discusion) then I suggest you look elsewhere for you’ll NEVER find what your looking for in this ABSENCE!

It’s WEIRD BECAUSE — The loved one is more present in one’s mind when she’s gone, gone, gone or ABSENT than she ever was when she was PRESENT!

“outcome for various things, like bringing rain to then-draught-stricken Texas, putting out wild fires, and healing a few folks.”

And these positive and helpful outcomes should scare you or anyone else? Don’t you think the Elites are already trying their (negative emotion) thought experiments out there? If you cannot match (and better) your opponent’s energy and intention, you won’t last long. The implied responsibility level for one is way up there if you can “think” your way to a great outcome for something that you had no direct physical contact. It’s probably the nagging guilt of not doing that more often that is really the hard to confront part.

So how much “power” can one person handle [properly]?

          In an INSANE/EVIL world, as this one is, NO ONE has so far;
discounting religious total myth for control of the masses.

Some would say that all this is coincidence.
Others might say that there is no such thing [as coincidence]
and everything has meaning as it relates to everything else.

I have to go with the latter, as I have seen this over and
over again in my own life.

Although it would appear that chemical transmutation can occur, simply by washing Mercury with glacial acetic acid, the alchemical “Philosopher’s Stone” would appear to be something much different. Along the lines of this experiment, could it be that the single minded intent of the alchemical operator, projected onto his work, which is being stressed by repeated sublimations and distillations, all astrologically timed, produces the end result of the legendary substance able to transmute both man and metals? “Consciousness and the double-slit interference pattern” is certainly a very interesting experiment.
