Here's an interesting tidbit sent to me by Mr. V.T. But first, some background. Back when I was teaching Russian history, I had of course to cover the various Soviet five year plans. One of the tactics used by soviet bureaucrats back then was to fudge the numbers. For example, if a tractor factory was designed to produce 250 tractors a month, then that's what their official production figures would show, even though the tractor factory was only producing, say, 63. Well, it appears we are becoming (if we have not already become) the Soviet Union:

    It used to be the Texan telling the Russian about the weather changing so fast, that by the time there was a news broadcast, it changed. The Russian would say the same about their history; once they learned it, the new history versions would be a changing as fast as the Texas weather.

    Well…, Texans & Russians are the same; except they’ve changed partners, …er governments.

    Well, it appears the (so-called) leaders of the United States have shown the world we can out-do the (so-called Evil Empire) Russia in all things.
