The New Zealand Reserve Bank (the NZ Central Bank) is going to implement just such a scheme for bailing out a failed bank. They have given it the grand name of “Open Bank Resolution” (OBR) and comes into effect in July 2013.
The link to the actual policy document: http://www.rbnz.govt.nz/finstab/banking/4430900.html
Apparently the banks aren’t happy with the scheme: http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/business/8453879/Banks-in-NZ-strongly-rejected-OBR

Wonder how this fits in with the Cyprus scheme?
Is it driven from the same source?

It seems to me that New Zealand is being used more and more as a (financial) guinea pig by/for the western oligarchs.

[qoute]Troubled Cyprus prompts Medvedev to create Russia’s own offshore zone

A regular meeting of the government has been discussing a state project to develop Russia’s Far East and Transbaikal regions on Thursday, when Premier Medvedev introduced the idea of offshore zones in the country.

“If there is so much fuss going on, may be we should think of creating a kind of zone of our own in the Far East. We have bunch of good places there — Sakhalin, the Kuril islands,” Medvedev said, referring to the ongoing economic turmoil in Cyprus.

Speaking about the project, Medvedev called the budget for it as “unprecedentedly big” — more than $323 billion. The money will be mostly spent on transport infrastructure in the two remote regions. [/quote]

Cyprus also has lots of oil and natural gas that has been untapped and don’t you know that Russia is very aware of this. So, their “bailout” has other implictions to it. Frankly, I’d rather see Russia have the spoils that Goldman Sachs, Rothschild and the like.

Can’t believe I’m saying this since I’ve been brainwashed into the cold war scenario for so long.

    • Nidster - on March 22, 2013 at 12:27 am

Milton, I do not desire to see Russia have any ‘spoils’ from the Cyprus incident, because that is not the point. Russia has enormous wealth already, but Putin could help bring the Banksters down. Patriotic Americans would like to have Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Chase Bank, Bank of America, the Rothschild’s and all the other Banksters brought to justice.

The one thing patriotic Americans hoped to rely upon is the Rule of Law. Americans wanted it to take precedence over the corrupt and lawless Corporate structure that has ruled us for too long. Ba’corrupt Obama is a puppet for the Corporate structure and he is not going to bring the Banksters to justice. There were multiple prosecutions of corrupt Banksters under ALL of the other POTUS’s, but no prosecutions of the Banksters who created the financial meltdown under Ba’corrupt Obama’s regime. Ba’corrupt Obama is simply a puppet for the Banksters, and he makes a slug like Hugo Chavez appear to be a really good president. In fact, Ba’corrupt Obama makes a slug like Hugo Chavez appear to be Christ-like.

I would like to make the suggestion that many here might like a new TV show called CONTINUUM.

It is made in Canada (like so many good scifi shows have been over the years), but you can watch it on the Scifi channel on Monday nights at 8:PM (sometimes there is an ep at &:PM also).

It is a time travel episode with terrorism as a main issue, as well as the “evil corporation” idea (in the future, it is not the USA, but “the Corporate States of America.”

Remarkably enough many of the issues presented on the mirror many of the topics on this site, in a general sort of way. No one is really marked as a definite good guy or bad guy on the show.

The day-to-day stories may not be that impressive, but the main story “arc” as they call it really is quite good.

Personally, I think that the idea that increasing the average IQ by 5 points would be meaningless. Do you think that MacDonald’s would increase their profits if they had nothing but Einstein’s running the golden arches? I don’t think so. Especially in an industrial production settting, increasing IQ does not really make a significant difference. Once you reach an IQ of about 100, further increases in IQ do not have anything to do with increasing productivity. Increasing IQ does not improve the efficiency of simple, repetitive tasks. The Chinese are just wasting a whole lot of money if you ask me (unless the real reason for their “project” is not being released).

Hey Joe, it seems to me (perhaps incorrectly) that sometimes you suggest that Russia and Germany are moving closer together, and sometimes (like today) you sort of seem to be implying that Russia and Germany might be knocking heads a bit. Of course, “Germany” is not some monolithic entity. If I had to guess, I would say that the post WWII surviving Nazi’s might be in real close with the current Russian regime. Do you think that Germany and Russia have a constant position towards each other (an “agenda”) post the collapse of the Soviet Union, or is it something that just flips back and forth depending on the latest news???

    • Joseph P. Farrell on March 21, 2013 at 6:54 pm

Good question. Somewhere between the two I think, that is to say, I think they BOTH have long-term agendas with respect to each other and Europe, but that there are tactical hickups and fits and starts along the way. Cyprus MAY be one of them, but in the main, I think Germany is increasingly (and rightly) wary of the West and of the UK./USA in particular, as the gold repatriation seem to suggest. But given Germany’s geopolitical situation, it is always a delicate balancing act for German diplomacy, particularly when East-West tensions are high.

    • bdw000 on March 21, 2013 at 7:34 pm

Another problem with IQ is that, in my opinion, “stupidity” is NOT a function of IQ. I say that “stupidity” is simply NOT using the IQ that you have. In other words, stupidity is NOT “low IQ” (most of the time).

Increasing the IQ of the general population would be a meaningless action, unless there was some guarantee that everyone would actually USE that IQ. Look at the USA right now . . . . .I’ll guess that the average IQ of the top half of the population is 125. Those are smart people, on average. And yet 95% or more of them are simply INCAPABLE of even considering the possibility that any idea is true if it does not appear in the mainstream media. They are incapable of using their IQ to analyze any information put to them. The sum total of their critical thinking amounts to “if it’s on TV, it’s true.” In other words, it does not matter how good the hardware of your computer is, if the software is bad, you’ve got nothing. Also, there’s the problem of propaganda (or even mind control). Perhaps we should say that “functional IQ” = IQ minus PQ (where “PQ” = “propaganda quotient”).

To think that IQ is some sort of magic wand will probably miss the mark. It just isn’t that simple. And as Joseph said, to think that IQ is a guarantee of creativity . . . well, it just does not follow. High-IQ people who are trained to simply regurgitate what they are fed (like most college grads today) are good at doing just that : regurgitating. “Creativity” does not even enter the picture.

      • paul de gagne on March 23, 2013 at 3:33 am

I like your explanation bdw000 of one of the difficulties of using IQ scores as the medium or measure of sheer intelligence. Right on the Mark! I believe these scores test how well people do at certain tasks. I don’t think they test for other skills such as being a marvelous ‘artist’ or a creative ‘storyteller’ or ‘athelete’ , etc., etc.? (maybe I am wrong in this?)

I think IQ tests are a means to search out certain people and segregate them from the so-called riff-raff/great unwashed. This genetics quest is very scary and it reminds me of what use to be called the ‘Nature versus Nurture DEBATE? ( most modern moral people after the Holocaust agree it’s an unfit-philosophy but evidently no one told the Elites that!)

I guess the Trans-humanists believe the debate is over and they won? (( maybe not all of the trans-humanists but you know how easily the ‘Power of Good Intentions’ can fu%k itself up!))

Also, in a way, their backers believe MIGHT MAKES RIGHT for I think agree with me — Trans-humanists have the most influential (backers) or the means to express and over-ride other important factors in this debate. Inject only their desires —period, end of story and if you disagree with us, then if we have to or if it comes to all that — We’ll CLUB YOU TO DEATH and that’s their version of ADAPTATION. Good old Social Darwinism reincarnated!

IF there is any merit in this RIGHT/LEFT brain research then I believe the trans-humanist are barking up the wrong tree for a well-developed elementary education can improved one’s sic –IQ much more than 5% percent. (they’ll argue that and show all kinds of almost convincing tweated data/statistics, that it just isn’t so — but it is true.) You know the Bell Curve all over again but I wont get into this research-sampling quagmire or just plain deliberated or intentionally created-mess)

Now where were we, oh yes, decent elementary education (geepers, I am beginning to sound like that famous Frenchman who wrote ‘The Social Contract,’ but I am not. The Noble Savage wasn’t exactly a Savage when you come to think about it. Developing the MEANS or improvement in Killing or Exterminating millions of people —now that is SAVAGE!

Let not wade in dangerous Anti-Civilization Waters for although it’s not pointless it’s all very Futile (unless your an adolescent who finds out how his Culture has put the screws-to-her/him and wants to do something about it in a typical adolescent manner, then yes I sympathize with these poor buggers for I once was one of them.)

But that sounds a little bit democratic and we cant have that now can we? We need drones to flip hamburgers, wash our toilets – maybe not for did you see that TV program of those fancy, thousands of dollar toilets with the fan-dryers, ha, ha! or oafs to continue digging deep down in the coal mines. (maybe not that either — even some of the worst jobs are being automated and these people are now redundant, “Lets get rid of them and find a way of producing or BREEDING a better batch of POINDEXTERS for our newer researches.

(by ‘our’ I mean the ‘ass-kissing’ scientists who do the elites bidding – while the Elites are freed to do other nefarious activities.

These SAME FACES who rule the roost are letting these scientists dream their wet-dreams thinking one day the white-coaters will take over and run the show — get this = Intelligently!

Fat Chance! Babylon’s Gang-Bang-ers are much more clever than that?

Even though these gangsters tremble in their house-slippers late at night like they say Stalin did(?) believe me no-one ever sees that aspect of their humanity even though they are just a bunch of Socio-paths!

Although I don’t believe one can be too intelligent for their briches for intelligence implies the ability to immediately correct itself like in Cybernetic Systems but one can be too Smart for their own underwear for then they don’t correct themselves. I think somewhere down the line people have confused those two words(smart/intelligence)?

OR they confused the MEANS and thought it was the ENDS?

About Russia bailing out Cyprus — nothing new there? Giving them bank certificates instead of Food (and guns) like they use to (getting in on the Western Act?) while America gives them the right to ‘pull a lever’ once every four yrs. but who now just wants to outright screw than and the hell with the COVERT PART! (Communism hasn’t changed much but America has — what once was covert is now Overt. It’s all a Perversion if you ask me!

Look at it in the frame of “power”.
“They” want to be able to use the IQees.
What they don’t want is an intelligence that doesn’t want to be used as a tool; but,
rather as a way to better those “beings” close to him or her, and their ways of life.

  5. Robert Barricklow on March 21, 2013 at 5:33 pm

    Superb analyses on Cyprus shenanigans.
Enjoyed the hell out of it.
Looking forward to your further blogs/updates.
    The plot thickens.

Now I know why Dr. Farrell keeps on moving. He has a fear of being shanghaied and put to work on a Chinese eugenics farm.

Suddenly, western intellectuals go from downtrodden, misunderstood paupers, to Asian hot commodities.

And back on the American eugenics farm, breeding rights will go not to those with the highest IQs, but to those whose genius is self-promotion– producing a future “master” race of even pushier, more annoying, egotistical, deceitful creeps to lord over us, as if the current situation wasn’t bad enough, until the Chinese Uber Men come and wipe us and our defective uber men out.

Maybe part of the impending Russian Cyprus bailout hinged on allowing Russian government access to the Cyprus bank accounts of corrupt Russian nationals (oligarchs) who have been depositing their ill gotten gains for some time. maybe the oligarchs didn’t pull their money out, but had it swiped from them by the Russian government? Now this money will be put to good use to bail Cyprus out and allow Russia other concessions such as Natural gas and a Russian naval port in Cyprus. And it seems the German secret police, the BND, had the most intelligence on Russian mafia banks accounts in Cyprus.

I posit that the Russians, with the help of the Germans, just closed a major leak of perpetual stolen Russian wealth while also exposing once again the London banksters to be the vile parasites that they are. This leaves Cyprus and the EU temporarily in tact and increases the possibility of a banksterless German run EU in the future while bringing Russia more into the EU fold (or the EU into the Russian fold).

      I like your viewpoint Frank.

      • paul de gagne on March 23, 2013 at 3:48 am

Yes, it is intriguing Robert — keeping up with this geo-political politics. Especially, if one does not have much else to do? It’s very distracting and keeping me away from my book-wormish reading! Kind of like what’s the new ‘fashion of the day.” I get sucked into it too!

I am more interested in WHAT IF —- this UFO business becomes a ‘new state religion’ just like in Constantine’s Time.

I still like the idea of ARCHETYPES being constellated even if they are the ones that escaped the pits of Plato’s dark, deep Cave!

        Like ARNOLD —- WE’RE BACK!!!

        HA, HA!

Do you have any reasons to suggest such a situation? Any references (just so you don’t have to type it all)?

For instance, what in the Cyprus situation leads to the “possibility of a banksterless German run EU in the future”?????

Don’t I remember that in the late 1990’s, most Russians (except the oligarchs, of course) lost at least half of all their bank savings?? I don’t remember if that was a “bank” thing or a “government” thing . . ..

      • Frankie Calcutta on March 23, 2013 at 8:51 pm

        bdw000,

“Do you have any reasons to suggest such a situation? Any references (just so you don’t have to type it all)?”

I take a few kernels of info from assorted news articles I may have read and then I allow it to fuel my wishful thinking.

Is Enki jealous ??? I dont think so, allbeit that the scientists are playing around with dna etc, but they are, imo, a
l-o-n-g way from getting to the end.

I mean it took 450,000 years for the Annunaki to “get it right”, so these modern day lab jockeys are just in the first few steps

    .

  10. legioXIV on March 21, 2013 at 1:33 pm

It would seem that “Dreadnought Fever” is back in vogue and we all remember where that lead. It would seem that we have come full circle for those of us who believe that modern humans came about due to some genetic tweaking from “those out there”. Now we are doing it to ourselves. Does that make these scientists the “new gods” in the mould of Enki, Enlil and the like?
