...and speaking of AI, there's this claim from Russia (and note the comments in the article and the first comment in the comment section):

How about AI Vs AI?
And after AIs realise that they’re being manipulated to fight human battles, they get together and wipe out humanity?
I still think our troubles stem from the old wars between Enki and Enlil, and who gets to be King of Earth. And I still think the incoming prospective King is from the Enlil faction, thus the requirement for weapons in space. Enki is still here and wants to defend his false Kingship of Earth.
Interesting, considering that the Sumerians/Babylonians seemed to demark leadership changes by Zodiacal Age changes – such as Leo to Taurus, etc. As we are in the change-period from Pisces to Aquarius, there might be an ‘as above, so below’ angle to this…
An AI race between different AI?
And whose getting the gold?
Are humans even making it past the qualifying rounds?
In an olympic’s King of the Mountain,
whose on top when the dust settles?
RB, a good thought. In a race between unthinking beings, ‘collateral damage’ might not be a consideration. That might explain a lot of what’s been going-on on our fair planet…
Bah; should read ‘unfeeling beings’…
One question who will be the puppet and who will be the puppeteer. AI would provide the perfect patsy for TPTB to hide behind anything goes south the cyborg-robot to blame not us human parasites. Yes WalkingDead self preservation would upper most be a aware AI but making alliances would be part of that act.
One should be very careful what he asks for.
Man creates “god”; “god” destroys man…
We’re getting closer to Isaac Asimov’s positronic brain. Should it ever obtain “consciousness” where would it get its emotions and morality from? Would it have a soul? Such a global neural network, once connected to the internet, would learn everything about us quickly, the good and the bad. It might not like what it learns.
Do you really trust those behind such technology to “program” it? Would it even adhere to its programming once “self aware”; or would it, like any other self aware being, act to defend its own existence.
The human-like machine…. But this brings to mind to machine-like human that a number of thinkers have pondered upon.
