SPACE NEWS: NASA’S EM DRIVE PAPER SAYS IT WORKS, MUSK WANTS TO ...

To say that the last two weeks have been an incredible period for news would be putting it mildly, by almost anyone's criteria. One of the most interesting stories - well, interesting to me at least - was that indicating the President-elect plans to reorient NASA from its current Low Earth Orbit mission orientation to a new deep-space, long-term human exploration mission. In this, there was nothing really that new. Previous presidents have tried to do this, beginning with the administration of G.H.W. Bush, which was then revived under his son G.W. Bush, and even President Obama made a couple of attempts to reorient NASA; none of the efforts were really successful. However, it should also be remembered that DARPA, or as we affectionately refer to it here (following a suggestion of Mr. J.B.), the Diabolically Apocalyptic Research Projects Agency, announced during the second Obama administration a goal to make the United States "warp capable" in 100 years. So, quietly, even during the "space quiescent" administrations of Bush II and Obama, space has quietly been pushing along. The current President-elect however seems to have more than just a mission-reorientation in mind, but has actually proposed a bureaucratic reshuffling that would transfer low earth orbit oriented missions to other departments of the federal government, thus freeing NASA for the longer-term deep space missions. From a purely political and bureaucratic point of view, this would seem to make some sense.

All that is context, in my high octane speculation playbook, for a few other stories that emerged in the last couple of weeks that indicate that something, indeed, may be "up" with space matters. There's three stories in particular that regular readers here brought to my attention, that I'd like to pass along, together with my usual high octane, or in this case, orbital speculations:

SpaceX wants to launch 4,425 satellites into space to bring super-fast internet to the world

Leaked NASA paper shows the 'impossible' EM Drive really does work

Documents/The Artificial Inducement of Space Warp

That's quite a list, so let's begin at the first article, and SpaceX's Elon Musk's plans to launch over 4,000 satellites to "bring superfast internet to the world." There are three paragraphs here that draw our attention. According to Arjun Kharpal, author of the CNBN article on Musk's plans, this plan is presented in a filing with the FCC(Federal Communications Commission):

SpaceX – the company on a mission to colonize Mars – outlined plans to put 4,425 satellites into space in a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) filing from earlier this week.

That's three times the 1,419 satellites that are currently in space, according to the Union of Concerned Scientists, a not-for-profit group made up of scientists across the world.

...

Once "fully optimized", the system will be able to provide bandwith of 1 gigabytes per second for users globally. That's over 180 times faster than the current global internet speed average of 5.6 megabytes per second which was recorded in the Akamai State of the Internet report at the end of last year.

Reports earlier this year suggested Google and Fidelity had invested $1 billion into SpaceX to support the satellite project.

As noted, Musk has presented formal filings to the FCC, and has heavyweight backers in the form of Google and Fidelity for high-speed internet development. The question is why? Here I find myself in agreement with former HUD Assistant Secretary Catherine Fitts, in that this built out is in part a massive project designed to preserve US dollar reserve currency status, and this project can be, and I strongly suspect is enhanced by the offer of rebates on internet devices, smart phones, and so on, denominated in dollars. There is, however, a deeper agenda here, and I suspect most regular readers here already see what it is: such a massive build-out also implies building massive redundancy into the international financial clearing systems, which are currently rather centralized, and hence, easily targetable, as much of that system currently flows through SWIFT (Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Transfer) in Belgium, and CHIPS (Clearing House Interbank Payments System). Decntralizing such systems, using other database management systems, builds a measure of security into the clearing system that is much needed, especially against potential threats. The question is, why now? Why the push to globalize such systems and to build in redundancy? The short answer is, such moves are only undertaken when long term strategic planning indicates potential conflict on the horizon. Here the question is, with whom?

I suggest the answer is suggested from the space context itself, which brings us to the recent announcements concerning NASA's tests of the EM drive, which produces thrust from microwave reflections and interferometry within a shaped, conical cavity. While I've blogged about this story before, I want to draw the readers' attention to something very interesting that appeared in the second article linked above, by Fiona MacDonald; first, note the numbers:

Last year, NASA's Eagleworks Laboratory got involved to try to independently verify or debunk the EM Drive once and for all. And a new paper on its tests in late 2015 has just been leaked, showing that not only does the EM Drive work - it also generates some pretty impressive thrust.

To be clear, despite rumours that a NASA paper on these tests has passed the peer-review process, the version that's been leaked hasn't been published in an academic journal. So, for now, this is just one group of researchers reporting on their results, without any external verification.

But the paper concludes that, after error measurements have been accounted for, the EM Drive generates force of 1.2 millinewtons per kilowatt in a vacuum.

That's not an insignificant amount - to put it into perspective, the super-powerful Hall thruster generates force of 60 millinewtons per kilowatt, an order of magnitude more than the EM Drive.

But that's not what caught my eye. What caught my eye were these statements:

"The test campaign included a null thrust test effort to identify any mundane sources of impulsive thrust, however none were identified," the team, led by Harold White, concluded in the paper.

"Thrust data from forward, reverse, and null suggests that the system is consistently performing with a thrust to power ratio of 1.2 ± 0.1 millinewtons per kilowatt."(Emphasis added)

Yes, you read that correctly, the NASA team testing the EM drive and performing these tests was led by Dr. Harold White, that's Dr. Harold "Sonny" White, of NASA's warp drive project fame. Readers here will recall my previous blogs about Dr. White, for it was Dr. White who, by reworking the metric of Mexican physicist Miguel Alcubierre's 1990s warp drive paper, came up with the breathtaking conclusion that the vast mass-energy conversion needed in Alcubierre's paper - a mass-energy conversion factor on the scale of the planet Jupiter, and hence impractical as a potential human technology - was far too large, and that the actual mass-energy conversion factor was much smaller, and conceivably within reach to human science in, say, a hundred years or so. It was because of Dr. White's reworking of that paper that DARPA came out with its 100 year warp drive goal in the first place, and additionally, that NASA placed White in charge of designing the initial proof of concept experiments for his re-working of Alcubierre's metric. All this places his participation in the EM drive tests into a different light, for what is being suggested is that the EM drive may have some very minor space-warping properties. Now, this isn't a big surprise to those of us who have been following the work of the late Gabriel Kron, the Hungarian electronics engineering genius who first told us that all electrical devices, no matter how simple, can be derived from the generalized equations of electromagnetism by specific applications of tensor calculus and hyper-dimensional operators. In essence, what Kron was saying was that all devices of an electric nature are both hyper-dimensional, and produce minute modifications of the lattice of space-time. In short, space warps.

Which brings us to the... oh, by the way, did you notice the date of Ms. MacDonald's article? Nov. 7, 2016, a day before the US general election, which has given us a President-elect who's talking about deep solar system manned explorations, and oh, who, by the way, had an uncle who was a Professor at MIT, John Trump, who according to some internet stories was tasked with looking at the late papers of Nikola Tesla.... Talk about things that make you go "Hmmmm...." At the minimum, the presence of this particular technologically-inclined Trump in the stump of the Trump tree means that the current President-elect, unlike almost all previous presidents, may have a unique family insight into technological history, and perhaps even into some very secretive aspects of it, a definite advantage over his predecessors.

Which brings us to the third article about a small "start up" company in Nebraska that has been doing simple warp-field tests, using (here it comes) interferometry, electrical tri-poles, and measurement by laser red-shift effects. You'll note that the context here is Einstein's general relativity, and this requires some basic explanation. In the theory of General Relativity, large masses such as stars or planets literally "warp" the lattice structure of space time, in a fashion similar to placing a large bowling ball or medical ball on a trampoline that one has drawn a grid work of squares on. Placing the ball on the trampoline compresses that lattice work by appearing to stretch it in the region immediately surrounding the ball. This is of course a two dimensional representation, so one has to imagine an infinite series of such planes each in touch with a point on the ball, and you get the idea. The trouble is, in General Relativity, it can work in both directions: a large mass can distort that local lattice work, or a distorted local lattice work can create the effect of the presence of a large mass, i.e., gravity. What's interesting here is that physicists appear to be discovering, through careful manipulation of such effects electromagnetically, which physicists, including Einstein, long suspected, namely, that there's some relationship between gravity and electromagnetism. What I find intriguing about these experiments is twofold: First, the unified field theories of the 1920s and early 1930s, beginning with Kaluza-Klein, predicted a fourth spatial dimension that was "curled up" in dimensions of the quantum length or harmonics thereof, i.e., in very small spaces, as it were. These experiments appear to be suggesting something similar, for they are measuring very small displacements or warping effects, yet, to my knowledge, no one has yet attempted to connect these results to some of those interwar theories. Secondly, as I pointed out in Secrets of the Unified Field, a common objection of modern physics to these early unified field theory attempts is to point our their incompleteness, since they only "unify" two of the four fundamental forces, namely gravitation and electromagnetism, leaving out the strong and weak forces of quantum mechanics. But as I pointed out in that book, an incomplete theory is not necessarily an unengineerable theory. After all, Newton's theory of gravitation is incomplete in the formal sense, but nevertheless was and is engineerable, and had a great deal to do with the foundations of the industrial age. If these experiments, and particularly that of the Nebraska start-up company are indeed legitimate, and I strongly suspect they are, then this is a hint that those interwar theories, incomplete though they may be, hold some profound engineering clues. Certainly Gabriel Kron understood them to be so.

What I found intriguing with the third article is the fact that this small start-up "space warp" company has even filed for a patent, which is currently pending. And that suggests more engineerable technologies could come down the pike. Indeed, as that third article suggests, and as the second avers, what happens when one dramatically scales up the power, or the magnetic fields in which all of this is performed? Given the breathtaking implications of these three articles when considered together, and against the larger backdrop in which they were announced, I can't help but think that those experiments have already been performed. We just haven't been clued into the results yet.

See you on the flip side...

There is a lot in this blog, so looking just at the 4-thousand satellite topic, one aspect is undoubtedly financial clearing. But while we’re on advanced tecnology, the hidden financial gang could just as well teleport bearer bonds and those satellite signals might be hacked anyway whatever the speed. This over-charging of our atmosphere has serious implications for weaponisation, especially against the 99.999% of humanity, using entrainment (i.e. mind control). How to check if we are being mind controlled? Although it’s hard to say just how many people worldwide are targeted with infamous the “voice of God” method, we would probably have to watch out for unexpected mood swings, and distinguish what is simply due to weather, health, “natural psychic contagion” and the like. Since this type of thing takes place in tandem with the propagation of media memes, especially the ones that emerge suddenly and that seem to be designed to shock or intimidate, it might be a good idea to check on our emotional reactions to these memes, and then look closer at the memes and re-check if the emotional reaction is explainable or justified.

It would be ironic if we were given – or evolved – minds as a way to cope-with emotional ‘tampering’…

“…or a distorted local lattice work can create the effect of the presence of a large mass, i.e., gravity.”

This would be a perfect way to induce deflections in asteroid or meteor orbits. No ‘bang’ or ‘boom’ uncertainties. The whole structure would respond as one object. I don’t know whether this excites me or scares me more…

On the SpaceX front, those 4,425 satellites will operate around 800 miles up. That is not low-Earth-orbit (LEO), but is far lower than the 22,000 miles of geostationary satellites. There is a dirty-little-‘secret’ about satellite internet: One can build-in any fancy, gee-whiz ‘throughput’ (bandwidth), but that is not the limiting factor. The up-down travel time at lightspeed is. If one is downloading a massive file in one go, there is only one command ‘slowly’-sent. So, the download time depends on your throughput. If you are internet-surfing or uploading individual ‘put’ buys (lots of ‘slowly’-sent commands), the transit-time is much more important…

As there is a vanishing chance that SpaceX is doing this for the good of the internet-public, the choice comes down to banksters or the military. Perhaps both. I am betting that the satellite orbits were set by these players.

As I have said before, one can easily ‘test’ the EM Drive by hauling it up to the ISS, placing it outside an airlock, turning it on, and seeing if it moves. Too simple? Or, are other forces blocking this obvious demonstration-method?

Strange how paranoia can link up with reality now & then[PK Dick].
I remember the opening scene of 2001 where the ape/men toss up a weaponized bone into the blue sky and it immediately darkly morphs into a space station.
The human ability to acquire culture was built for speed; not comfort. Has it become artificial & sanitized? Remember when the outside was everywhere? Today, it is, unfortunately just the opposite. Are we becoming enslaved to networks for their emotional validation?
Who is controlling this Advanced technology to take E.T. home? How can they call themselves human(?); when they are engineering our mind/body out of existence?
That weaponized bone, was after touching the dark/monolith? No doubt about it; were touched. But how much are we really drivers at this insane speed, from day to night in a heart beat?

Google is “The eye in the sky. Looking at you, They can read your mind”. I still find it hard to believe this is happening in my lifetime, just blows my mind how much information is coming out. Google has been a weekly visitor to the white house for years according to Julian Assange. Trump said at one of his rallies, he wanted more surveillance – like maybe 4425 satellites?

SG, sucking people into using the internet for all things (hah!) has been a meme for decades. Just follow what is promoted as cool and fashionable by mainstream-media sources. It is well-known that a ‘feed’ of all things internet (including facebook, twitter, google, etc.) is going directly to some ‘cubes’ in Utah. (A DUPLICATE copy of all that data is sent directly to Israel by alphabet-agency agreement.) Just think what you could do with 4,425 extra satellites making the internet sooo easy to use…

This roll out has been very carefully planned. They have so many toys in their attic that it would cause an avalanche. Metering the tech releases and manipulating markets has been a theme for what? 60-70yrs now? Just more of the same. It will be interesting to see if they can keep the lid on what is next in a plausible fashion.

Well, yes, but the link is rather tenuous though: They are the same thing.

The headline is cropped, so I guess you are supposed to complete the sentence:

Think of mass as a negative in ether because more ether is squeezed out of a greater mass than a lesser mass. The more ether that is squeezed out the more that squeezed out ether squeezes in on that mass. The closer an object is to the epicenter of a mass the greater the object’s mass is caught up in the pressure wave of ether squeezing in on that mass. Now the question is what exactly is ether?

Always the copout that warp drive violates the laws of science. What laws I think they make them up to kow tow to their true masters. The frustrating third article had charts, photos and diagrams covering up parts of it so it couldn’t be read. Just wondering how long the PTB will drag this out until those of us who remember the Apollo Moon program are dead and buried so they can begin the circus again. They have put back the scramjets of 2001 to 2100. But if what you say of a Trump relative is true maybe the dog and pony show that is NASA might earn it’s salary for once and get the ball rolling.

    • goshawks on November 20, 2016 at 1:18 am

When I was getting my master’s degree around 1972, there was a Ph.D. candidate who was experimentally working on scramjet nozzles for his degree. The lack of development in scramjets is as ‘deplorable’ (grin) as the moon programs. Who gained by ‘stunting’ two generations of space exploration?

“Leaked NASA paper shows the ‘impossible’ EM Drive really does work”
    Oh REALLY !! .. I have 3 observations to make here ..
1 .. there is NO such thing as a leak .. EVER !!
2 .. if leaked NASA paper shows the “impossible” EM drive REALLY does work .. you can bet your last buck that the NASA “impossible” EM drive is not only working but has been for decades ..
3 .. and finally … it’s not just working .. it’s REALLY working .. “to infinity and beyond” as Buzz Lightyear would say ..

    • goshawks on November 20, 2016 at 1:11 am

When I was in aerospace, the axiom was that any ‘public’ program was two generations behind the curve. The next generation was already operational, deep black, and the next generation beyond that was in development and flight test. If we apply that to the EM Drive…

Occasionally when I have too much to drink, I find myself in conversations with aliens. This happened to me yesterday as I was taking the bus home from Wal Mart. Usually it is the ones who live below the gas cloud on Jupiter. Apparently there is a prophecy amongst our alien neighbors in the solar system that when an orange human of crass speech and unrefined demeanor rises to power in the new Atlantis of Earth, he will bring war and destruction to the solar system. They also told me that the most coveted item in the solar system is not gold or basketball sneakers but in fact vitamin D. This is because every other humanoid species in the solar system lives below ground and does not get access to proper sunlight. The vitamin D they seek though can not be plant based but instead must come from animals. Because earth has an abundance of animals who are free to live on the surface, it is the greatest repository of vitamin D in the solar system.

For eons, aliens have sought to get this precious life sustaining substance from Earth, either through trade, sometimes through theft, sometimes even through war. The cosmic war was allegedly over Earth’s bountiful vitamin D supply (although some theorize that it was actually a mercantilist war where Mar’s atmosphere was destroyed to eliminate that planet as a competitor in the solar system wide vitamin D trade). The banksters even got their start by secretly bartering with the aliens in this trade– exchanging vitamin D rich humans for bullion. Slavery was not so much about mining as it was about exposing humans to as much sunlight as possible. Africa became the center of this vitamin D trade because of its sunny climate and that is why so many humans eventually fled Africa and resettled in the far northern hemisphere where Sun exposure would be minimal and therefore their value as a vitamin D commodity negligible. Alien abductions of course are the result of vitamin D raids by nomadic aliens. Even human sacrifice has its roots in vitamin D harvesting. There are some theories that even suggest that Earth is allowed to overpopulate strictly because we are the chief source of vitamin D for the rest of the solar system.

What does this have to do with Trump? He is the gluttonous embodiment of vitamin D with his orange skin. His mere visage taunts the rest of the vitamin D deprived solar system. More importantly, according to the prophecy, it is Trump who commences a strategy so greedy that he virtually denies the rest of Earth’s neighbors in the solar system the vitamin D they desperately need when he puts up impenetrable space defenses and develops warp drive for the purpose of finding new and more lucrative vitamin D markets further out in the galaxy. And that is why he is really stacking his cabinet with belligerent war hawks– not to bully other nations on Earth but to bully the entire solar system and deny them this life sustaining substance. Trump is the harbinger of a solar system wide genocide.

  12. WalkingDead on November 19, 2016 at 8:27 am

Quite possibly, there may be more to CERN than we have been lead to believe; other reasons they have been scaling up the power; and why other nations want one of their own. We may be on the cusp of another space race for the big prize of super-luminous travel. In some respects, warping space would be much safer than just going fast, you’re not as apt to run into anything and would not be subject to the erosion effects of even very tiny particles requiring some sort of sacrificial or other type of shield.
You would still require other drive systems for your localized travel, though, as portrayed in the Star Trek and other sy fy series. It also makes you wonder if you could warp time as well.
