HARVARD AND YALE OPEN SHARIA LAW STUDIES

Just when you think the assault on Western civilization by the crazed universities of America cannot possibly get any stupider or more insane, they step boldly on to the stage once again to demonstrate their sheer irrelevance and cultural treason:

Harvard University Launches Fellowships in Islamic Law to Influence U.S. Policy

Yale Establishes Islamic Law Center Thanks to $10M from Saudi Sharia-Banker, Alleged Bin Laden Financier

What I found intriguing here is that while the progressivist controlled corporate media of the left is still hollering to the heights about Russian attempts to influence the last election, I haven't heard a peep about the foreign influence to manipulate the culture that the funding of a Sharia center at Yale by a Saudi banker might portend. Note in the second article the following:

Saleh Abdullah Kamel, a Saudi banker who is now worth billions of dollars thanks to his success with Sharia-compliant financing, has donated $10 million to Yale University as part of a successful effort to build an Islamic Law Center at the Ivy League school.

...

Noticeably left out of the press release is the fact that Mr. Kamel’s Dallah Al Baraka Group, for which he is the Chief Executive, has been investigated by U.S. officials for bankrolling al-Qaeda’s operations worldwide.

Moreover, the bank was founded by former al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden along with a group of Sudanese jihadists, the State Department has alleged, according to the Wall Street Journal.

And in the 1998 New York City trials of al-Qaeda members, witnesses testified that Mr. Kamel’s bank had previously transferred hundreds-of-thousands of dollars to al-Qaeda to help them buy an airplane, the report stated.

Additionally, Kamel’s father’s name appears on the “Golden Chain,” a list of alleged al-Qaeda funders that was confiscated by Bosnian authorities after raiding an al-Qaeda front group in 2002.

The new Yale Islamic Center becomes the latest of many Saudi-funded influence operations on American university campuses throughout the continental United States.

Is it any wonder that our universities no longer reflect American legal and cultural virtues, let alone western ones, or have anything good to say about the influence of Christianity or Renaissance humanism, or anything else that makes the West the "West", when money from one of the most backward, corrupt, and inhuman and inhumane barbaric regimes on the planet are funding such nonsense?

Of course, the Yale article has the usual banal and cotton-mouthed pronouncements from scions of American quackademia justifying this "glorious generosity":

“Mr. Kamel’s extraordinary generosity will open up exciting new opportunities for Yale Law School and for the entire university, said Yale President Peter Salovey. “The Abdullah S. Kamel Center for the Study of Islamic Law and Civilization will enhance research opportunities for our students and other scholars and enable us to disseminate knowledge and insights for the benefit of scholars and leaders all over the world.”

Professor Anthony Kronman, a new co-director of the Islamic Law Center, said of the school’s new addition:

“The contemporary challenges of Islamic law are broadly relevant to political events throughout the entire Islamic world and those are developments that are watched by a much larger audience of people who in many cases have not much knowledge at all of the history and traditions of Islamic law.”

“It’s the responsibility of universities to teach and instruct and that obligation applies with particular force where an issue or a subject tends to be viewed in an incomplete or inadequate or even caricatured way. There the responsibility to teach and enlighten is even stronger,” he added.

Let there be no mistake: with Saudi funding behind this latest nonsense, there will be no academic freedom to question the "glories" of Sharia, there will be no attempt to invite former Muslims, and scholars, such as Ibn Warraq, or Muslims who recognize and advocate a non-political Islam, or scholars whose critical scholarship questions the whole narrative of Islamic orthodoxy, such as Christoph Luxenberg, who has to write under a pseudonym to avoid the fatwahs of death sentences because of the radical and sweeping conclusions he (or she) came to. That genuine academic freedom and critique will have to continue to be done where it is being done now, in the free and independent media; the corporate controlled propaganda organs - with but a few exceptions - will not do it. And the big name institutions of American quackademia will continue to slide further into the morass of irrelevance.

In short, this move is a discredit to moderate voices within the Muslim world itself, to disenfranchise them from having any voice or forum whatsoever, and its a disgrace to the supposed free and independent inquiry that is supposed to take place in an American or western university, for we can be absolutely certain that Saudi money sponsors no such free and critical inquiry in its own institutions of "higher learning;" that it will ultimately do so here is wishful thinking.

Until they prove otherwise with actions to demonstrate that freedom of inquiry, by inviting such people as I've named above with their new found Saudi money, one is only left with a "Shame, absolute shame, on Harvard and Yale," for this is nothing less than cultural treason.

See you on the flip side...

The good thing about Capitalism is that Anything has a price. The bad thing about Capitalism is that Anything has a price…

When you have a society that is moving further and further into Capitalism-based values (rather than spiritually-based values), this is the kind of ‘action’ that follows. Since Harvard and Yale are ‘hubs’ for the Capitalism-based elites, why am I not surprised that ‘endowments’ (aka bribes) are center stage?

(The one thing that I admire around Sharia Law – if it is indeed a subset of that canon – is the prohibition of interest. [Small ‘handling fees’ are allowed, which can be abused.] This strikes at the root of manipulating wars or crises into being, just to profit from the high-interest loans that are then required. We might have a much-more peaceful planet if bankster-induced wars went away…)

I wonder how many people know that Barack Obama’s Harvard tuition was paid for by Adnan Khasogghi, through his Saudi lawyers?

I wouldn’t worry about Harvard Law. Susskind and Susskind, two Oxford law academics in their book “The Future of the Professions” query the future of the entire so called “grand bargain” which has preserved the status of the professions including the legal profession. AI will sweep them all away – rather AI is already sweeping them all away. I read somewhere this was the most read book by London lawyers in 2016 – and can believe it!

Not only is it becoming more and more automated through AI algorithms[just like many news reports are bot orientated/no human author]; it is also becoming more & more financialized. Big Law has placed the so-called invisible hand on the blackboard eraser and begun smoothing away the chalk line between lawyering as a profession and lawyering as Wall Street wheeling & dealing.

Again, it is labeled one way; but, in actuality it is something entirely different. William f Engdahl’s latest book addresses this Islamic front is merely a mask for Fascist Nazi’s dating back to before WW1.
They’ve morphed several times under different guises.
    Follow the money!

The PTB have decided that Christianity no longer serves their interest. Fascist Islam will replace Fascist Christianity as the new front for their ongoing criminal enterprises.

    • Roger on January 12, 2017 at 12:53 pm

I suspect what makes Islam so attractive to TPTB is the mind control power it possesses and the re-legalizing of open human slavery and the abolishment of human rights. These people want the power to openly do whatever bad thing they fantasize about to anyone they may take an interest in among the lower classes legally. The beasts want more power to publically and legally abuse their subjects without having to hide in the shadows of their private and secret dungeons. Serfdom all over again.

Sharia Banking should be Christian Banking as well. Usury Banking is the main driving force behind most injustices and financial inequality around the world. Usury Banking has always been a tool for financially conquering and enslaving communities to the money changers. It always leads to the money changers owning everything of value in society and converting the rest of society into renters instead of owners. It leads to dependence rather than independence. It’s huge profits and control of most resources by the few enables that few to wage bigger world wars than they could ever finance any other way. Usury Banking was invented as a tool for conquering not for public service. Churches today should preach about this every Sunday until it is abolished as Jesus would likely do but they remain silent on this as they do on so many other immoral practices of the West.

Like Public Banking; it benefits the many, not the private few owners.

Of course they would; I’m only surprised it took them this long.

    Forward!

If Trump wants to stop this madness, he could order a terrorist investigation over the Saleh Abdullah Kamel, a Saudi banker and once if the evidence is there, alliterative media can step in, I think Alex Jones will love it, turn it into a big scandal, force whoever in-charge the higher education (the one who responsible with this) to resign, replace it by some one who is more “patriotism”, confiscate the fund, and close down the Islamic Law Center done and done LOL

    • Roger on January 12, 2017 at 11:58 am

Sharia Banking is the Western elites biggest nightmare and is why they went after Libya’s Quadaffi. We should all know by now that the official story behind 9/11 is a fable. It could be that 9/11 was more about stopping the spread of Sharia Banking than anything else.

Roger: “It could be that 9/11 was more about stopping the spread of Sharia Banking than anything else.”

With the banksters on the top of the heap, that could very well be the case. A very astute observation. Thanks!
