TIDBITS: PUTIN ON POPES AND PEDOPHILIA

Ms. C.V. and Ms. K.M. found these and sent them along, and whatever else one says about Mr. Putin, he certainly doesn't pull his punches:

  1. It’s interesting to me that a website that represents a mind who understands the complexities of dialectics from a theological and philosophical POV can be quite immersed in contemporary political dialectics.
    Let’s be clear –
Putin’s dressing up autocratic dicatorship as an honest man’s fight against big business, . He is a rabid nationalist. And rabid nationalism is no less dangerous to world well being than rapacious capitalism.
We forget _why_ we hate globalisation and- if it exists- a global oligarchy. It’s because what stems from it is the crushing of liberty, the facade of freedom, central unaccountable control. Putin stands for all of that but via different means. Think he’s got space for culture creativity? See Pussy Riot. Think he’s got space for individuality? See invasion of Georgia or standing by while Chechnya creates concentration camps for homosexuals. The end is the same. We should oppose individuals or entities who seek to be all powerful in whatever guise they come. Putin or globalist.

  2. Your Vladism needs to be defined in the context of this speech, are you sympathetic with his carefully worded statement that homosexual relationships are satanic? Your Ancient Greek friends may be troubled…

I’m more interested in knowing if Putin even considers him to be a human being as we know it

Yes, I believe Putin, et. al., have a better idea than this average Joe of what Yeshua bar Yosef was talking about when he categorized the Pharisees, bankers, and lawyers as being of their father, the devil. I think the Yezster was describing a different breed, probably characterized by a brain limited to an either/or paradigm–incapable of reasoning with four-sided logic.
“…let him not cease seeking until he finds, and when he finds, he will be troubled, and if he is troubled, he will be amazed, and will reign over the all.”

  4. President Putin holds a advance belt in judo. Which is the art of hitting someone with the planet.

It is as if decades ago there was a bet that; if lost, said the West would become the USSR, and the USSR would become the West; Pravda would become the NYTimes, while the Russian media would become medium of news fit to print/showcase. In short, the world has turned upsidedown; because. its just that easy.
Well Putin, remains well-grounded in reason and morality.
Wish I could say the same of the West’s representatives.
    But what of the people?
    The people of all countries,
    represent a far better character
than some of their so-called “elected” representatives.

Corruption, sad to say, is now very kosher indeed.
    Quite catching.
    It does show/manifest itself
    in how propaganda works…
    all to well.

  6. But this leaves out the question how do you deal with the situation where the belief in Yahweh-Allah has been forced down your throat and up your ass. Or any other belief system forced on you against your will and your community.

  7. If he had said virtues rather than values (I don’t know the Russian terms), he would have won your special encomium
