SHOCKING PEOPLE INTO COMPLIANCE AND CONFORMITY

Well folks, the "good" people at the Diabolically Apocalyptic Research Projects Agency (DARPA) are at it again, and I come away from this article, shared by Ms. M.W., with the sinking feeling that "they" may have finally done "it", "it" in this case being to miniaturize electroshock therapy and permanently implant it on a chip, to modify "mood". Here's the article:

AI-controlled brain implants for mood disorders tested in people

I suspect that regular readers here already know which paragraphs from this article caught my eye, but just for the record, they are these:

Brain implants that deliver electrical pulses tuned to a person’s feelings and behaviour are being tested in people for the first time. Two teams funded by the US military’s research arm, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), have begun preliminary trials of ‘closed-loop’ brain implants that use algorithms to detect patterns associated with mood disorders. These devices can shock the brain back to a healthy state without input from a physician.

...

The general approach — using a brain implant to deliver electric pulses that alter neural activity — is known as deep-brain stimulation. It is used to treat movement disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, but has been less successful when tested against mood disorders. Early evidence suggested that constant stimulation of certain brain regions could ease chronic depression, but a major study involving 90 people with depression found no improvement after a year of treatment.1

Oh, how wonderful, it's all being done to help people with "mood disorders" and, oh, by the way, epilepsy:

The groups are developing their technologies in experiments with people with epilepsy who already have electrodes implanted in their brains to track their seizures. The researchers can use these electrodes to record what happens as they stimulate the brain intermittently ― rather than constantly, as with older implants.

And as part of these wonderful "health benefits," they're also developing a variation on what I called "electro-encephalographic dictionaries" in my previous book Microcosm and Medium. These are, quite literally, dictionaries of brainwaves associated with particular words, which, by monitoring brainwaves, allows people literally to "read the mind," the interior conversation most of us have going on in our minds, and by some accounts, the reverse process is possible: by beaming the templates of these electro-encephalographic dictionaries, one can interfere with that internal conversation. Some researchers in the mind manipulation technologies call these types of devices "the voice of God" technologies, and I don't think there's any better way to describe it.

In the latest twist, this article makes it clear that they're now experimenting with creating the emotional/mood equivalent of those "electro-encephalographic dictionaries:"

At the SfN meeting, electrical engineer Omid Sani of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles — who is working with Chang’s team — showed the first map of how mood is encoded in the brain over time...

The MGH team is taking a different approach. Rather than detecting a particular mood or mental illness, they want to map the brain activity associated with behaviours that are present in multiple disorders — such as difficulties with concentration and empathy. At the SfN meeting, they reported on tests of algorithms they developed to stimulate the brain when a person is distracted from a set task, such as matching images of numbers or identifying emotions on faces.

The researchers found that delivering electrical pulses to areas of the brain involved in decision-making and emotion significantly improved the performance of test participants. The team also mapped the brain activity that occurred when a person began failing or slowing at a set task because they were forgetful or distracted, and found they were able to reverse it with stimulation. (Emphasis added)

With that last sentence we arrive at an implicit admission of what the real agenda may be: the enhancement of human performance via the direct electrical stimulation of the brain. In effect, we're looking at the latest "update" to notorious brain researcher Dr. Jose Delgado's research. Lest any forget what the goal of his research was, it was the psychological control of society precisely through such technologies and their mass application.

As usual, all this is being "sold" as a good thing because of the health benefits to those suffering "mood disorders," a fluid term that in the hands of a good Gramscian like Occasional Kotex could morph into anything one party finds "offensive." Think only of those Soviet-era "re-education" camps, for make no mistake about it, if they can adjust the "mood" of epileptics and so one, they can adjust the "mood" of anyone. "Repeat after me: Socialism good, freedom bad." Patient was non-responsive and dismissive of authority. Shock administered. Patient now compliant. I'm reminded of the observation of C.S. Lewis that when "re-education" supplanted justice, one of the consequences was that an open-ended process was substituted for one that had a definite end: punishment for crime could be taken so far, but no further. Re-education has no end, effectively, until compliance is gained; it's a license to practice a kind of torture until the victim finally submits.

And of course, as you might have guessed, I have some high octane speculation to advance: is it any wonder we're hearing about these types of technologies now, as "they" are preparing to roll out 5G and so on? If you'll pardon the (intentional) pun, the whole enterprise sounds rather beastly to me.

But not for nothing do we call DARPA the "Diabolically Apocalyptic Research Projects Agency" on this website. As I heard someone remark lately, if the society and culture that is emerging and being promoted by the "elite" (and I use that term only for convenience) is increasingly anti-human, it is perhaps because the ultimate source of it is not human at all...

See you on the flip side...

This literally makes no sense. They went through all of the trouble of indoctrinating us with the Prussian education system and now they are going to shock reward/punish? I don’t get what this is supposed to accomplish other than ‘they’ think they have enough people to do the work they need them to do or some weird algorithm of exponentially decreasing the population to a number they can manage over a set time due to suicide. The weakness is evident in the panacea ideation. At minimum the flying monkeys are so overridden with hubris that they think they can bypass our soul. This still can’t bypass our problem solving processes. I get that brainwashing MKUltra style is layered, but it feels like the factions are overreaching. Maybe a little too confident, quite frankly. My inner guidance says that they are getting impatient for some reason. Desperate, really. I can’t even imagine this working properly in Nazi Germany. The people complied, but it’s no short step to be a parent and see the wonder of your children and want to create a protective shield by which the child can ‘find’ themselves. Parents still love their rebellious children. This stands a better chance of being successful if children are separated from their parents. Hmmmm. There we go. Swamp A being drained into Swamp B. ‘The Wall’ suddenly has a very different flavor now doesn’t it?

Look above maybe the solar radiation management may hold some clues to .
Maybe it’s not just for the weather .
    We all have to breath.
How would be aware if the 5G is not already up and running and been tested globally . example we are ingesting nano particles in which work in conjunction with various materials descending from the sky .
maybe all is required is to manipulate the relevant frequency band
And pulse the earth and you have control of human vibration .
Add all digital devices on top
    Who needs implants ?
Could this be happening due to strange advents recently involving
    Individual people.
    Great article
We know some other people to whom we’re seeking and studying electric mind manipulation
    Be safe everyone.

they never ever think that they might some day be hoisted on their own digital petards – these retards?
fleuride too good for us, or is it no longer an unwanted industrial tocix waste product?
The AI is not in intelligent counsel mode telling them some home truths no matter how many times they reboot the machine?
Natural universal laws cannot be always broken?
I don’t know. Do they ever say “I DONT KNOW”?

    First paragraph…
They finally flew home to Nurse Racthed cuckoo’s nest.
    2nd paragraph..
Which prison[s]/3rd world hellholes are they being tested?
LOL!!! “… shocked the brain back to a heathy state w/o input from a physician”. What nut job’s in charge of this beauty?
LOL!!! major study involving 90 people found no improvement after a full year. [I’m shocked!]
“…encoded in the brain”. Now nature’s writing computer programs? Oops! They’ve only just discovered nature is a computer?
Beam an emotion Scotty, I woke up on my machine side of the bed.
Apparently a few scientists in the group have been acting odd lately, as if they had empathy. W/this device, they can now be cured.
Yep, your a computer John; but fortunately this means we can now enhance your corporate efficiency to promotional[pun intended] levels.
5G? Loaded w/all kinds of inhuman goodies. The best part is that U get to pay for this unwanted service, like Obama care[or, as I call it, insurance care]. They’ll make it law, like some States want inoculation mandatory. A little bunny told me that Amazon now bans ALL anti-vaccine books.

Someone recently said that we human’s are nature’s conscious, and we do what is in our power to make nature; well, human.

    So the problem is human?

    And technology’s the solution?

    NOT!!!!

Looks like some top of the pyramid humans…
have woken up on the wrong side of the Pod.

From article: “…they want to map the brain activity associated with behaviours that are present in multiple disorders – such as difficulties with concentration and empathy . [my italics]

Excellent! Really! Now, we can corral the elite and 0.01%ers and ‘wire’ their brains to stimulate compassion/empathy/love behaviors whenever brain scans show them about to perpetrate something anti-human. Well done, researchers!

Back in the real world (*sigh*), the tell is “…funded by the US military’s research arm, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)…” If this was funded by so-and-so medical establishment, there might be the smallest intent for this to be for the public good. As it is, this is probably research for producing SuperSoldiers through control of basic emotions. Feel fear? Zap. Feel compassion? Zap. Need rage? Zap.

Other prime areas are Manchurian Candidates and Assassins . Need an insider to do something nefarious? Kill fear. Kill empathy. Augment self-serving. Simple as programming 1-2-3…

(On the ancient civilizations front: Ever wonder WHY Enlil’s subject-human Kings and High Priests betrayed fellow humans and ‘sold out’ to the Anunnaki? Maybe, they did not ‘sell out’. Maybe, they were ‘rewired’…)

Farrell’s hypothesis for the “Tower of Babel Moment” assumes this. If it happened once on an industrial scale, they would definitely field test it on this group of peoples. Interesting point.

Such a crock. There is a very natural means to improvement of mindset long misrepresented and oppressed and now hijacked as yet another source of tax money which to be blunt ( oh hahaha) is to smoke a blunt. Yup…burn a joint. Note…there had been no decriminalization…it has been moved from a drug schedule to a tax schedule and the laws thereof are in many cases more restrictive than ever. While there may be some medical issues with burning one there seem to be no mental downsides…in decades of experience with it i have yet to meet one person that it has “screwed up” ie…if they are nutty they were that way to start with. But noooooo!!! Cant have anything natural that has never killed anyone in history…gotta be some toxic patent medicine! And if that aint enough…electroshock! No need now to tie a person to a table in the cuckoos nest…quick painless implant good for 100000 miles and no extra long sleeve shirt needed in the pink rubber room. Personally i believe the greatest fear of the powers that be of pot is the freeing of ones mind it offers from the continuous programming we get enabling us to play “what if” in our minds and allowing our inner child and artistic nature freedom from the program.

I spoke a bit about my psych background in comments following the dialogue with Matt Socha (https://gizadeathstar.com/2019/03/members-dialogues-todays-guest-matt-socha/).
To elaborate a bit, I began my studies of psychoanalytic theory with a prof who objected to the hijacking of Freud by american materialism, make that the american medical establishment. He saw Freud as a well intended ‘high octane speculator’ necessarily constrained by his personality, culture and the historical moment. Then I followed Karl Pribram over to consciousness studies. There, I came to appreciate Henry Stapp’s conception of emotions as having much in common with sensations vis-a-vie perception. (2TEdyoX
    amzn.to/2TEdyoX)
He treated emotional feedback as functional in the manner of hunger, thirst or goosebumps. One would ignore it at their peril.
Henry further likens emotional feedback to a pop-up on a computer. As such he suggests it presents the fruit of analysis of many, many, many variables, far more than our rational mind can take into account designed to assist us as we navigate the situations within which we find ourselves.
IMO emotions do indeed comprise a feedback system designed to assist us. Blocking emotional feedback is tantamount to putting a bandaid on a gas gauge because you don’t want to see the measure.
I am aware that we can become mentally or rather, experientially, ultimately weighted down to the point of immobility and I am sympathetic to that. However, I think the characterization of that experience as depression or a mood ‘disorder’ begs a lot of questions.
We have lost our vocabulary of emotions. Read early nineteenth century literature, particularly fiction and memoir, and you see a rich vocabulary of emotional nuance. I suspect (and find as I work with my own ‘depression’) that within the meta-category of depression, can be found many more nuanced emotions; dread, existential loneliness and the like. I find, as I pull my more nuanced emotions into the palm of my hand for contemplation a la Thich Nhat Hanh, I feel better. I also find that often, when I ‘well read the pop-up’ the emotional feedback/message dissipates.

    • goshawks on March 13, 2019 at 8:27 pm

CiC, thanks for the resources and personal revelations. In addition to your sources, it might be useful to view the emotions through the ‘lens’ of the Chakra system. We feel emotions in different ‘areas’ of the body. Heart area is where we feel love, for example.
      https://www.zenlama.com/the-7-chakras-a-beginners-guide-to-your-energy-system/

I have found that, by keeping the ‘system’ in mind while I am feeling some emotion, I can tell what is going on, emotionally (good or bad). A sudden feeling of pain in the heart means that someone has just said/done something non-loving. A sudden feeling of contraction/pain in the stomach means that someone has just said/done something to shut-down my sense of power. Etc. Once you have become familiar with the system and your personal responses, you can tell exactly what has just been “done unto you” (good or bad).

(The above works whether or not you believe in the Chakra system as ‘real’ energy centers. For me, it has given me a much more ‘nuanced’ sense of my interactions with the world. It is also ’empowering’ in the sense of discovering what is actually happening versus what you are told is happening…)

I think you’re gonna feel you belong

    Unnecessary sedation
You want to feel at home ’cause you belong
    Welcome to my nightmare, whoa-whoa-oh

    “Welcome to my breakdown
    I hope I didn’t scare you
That’s just the way we are when we come down
We sweat and laugh and scream here
‘Cause life is just a dream here
You know inside you feel right at home here
    Welcome to my breakdown, whoa-whoa-oh
You’re welcome to my nightmare, yeah-yeah-ah

Ah yes, the return of “Christ” presented on the world stage via 5G and holographic imagery by Walt Disney studios. Screenplay by Lucifer, starring a Manchurian actor selected from the elite with the entire population of Earth as extras, technology by DARPA. No need to buy tickets as you will be “immersed” in the movie. Political correctness provided by the Democratic Party. What could possibly go wrong given their dismal presentation of their latest movie “Captain Marvel”.
    Sorry, couldn’t resist…

    Cover me when I run
    Cover me through the fire
Something knocked me out ‘ the trees
    Now I’m on my knees
    Cover me, darling please
    Monkey, monkey, monkey
Don’t you know you’re going to shock the monkey

    Fox the fox
    Rat on the rat
    You can ape the ape
    I know about that
There is one thing you must be sure of
    I can’t take any more
Darling, don’t you monkey with the monkey
    Monkey, monkey, monkey
Don’t you know you’re going to shock the monkey
    Shock the monkey

    Monkey, Wheels keep turning
    Monkey, Something’s burning
Monkey, Don’t like it but I guess I’m learning
Shock! Shock! Shock! – watch the monkey get hurt, monkey

    Monkey, Wheels keep turning
    Monkey, Something’s burning
Monkey, Don’t like it but I guess I’m learning
Shock! Shock! Shock! – watch the monkey get hurt, monkey

    Monkey, Too much at stake
    Monkey, Ground beneath me shake
Monkey, And the news is breaking
Shock! Shock! Shock! – watch the monkey get hurt, monkey

Shock the monkey, shock the monkey
Shock the monkey, shock the monkey
    Shock the monkey to life
