TIDBIT: LIFE EXTENSION… FOR THE RICH

Apropos of today's main blog, there's another possibility..., not the life extension of the evil, nor the saintly, but of the rich, indolent, and stupid (article shared by V.T.):

Doug Casey: The Rich Will Be First in Line for Living Forever

And while you're at it, ponder these two articles(many people shared the second article, and J.b. shared the first):

The Secret of Brain Nanobots & Gene Drives

Scientists create a "lifelike" material that has metabolism and can self-reproduce

“If some activity shows up that indicated consciousness, we would have to stop the experiment,” said Stephen Latham, from Yale’s Centre of Bioethics.

“This would be unique: inducing consciousness in an organ that’s not connected to any living being.”

    – ‘Not alive, not dead’
Of course they say it’s for our future health benefits. It seems unethical to me, even in pigs.

The scary part of all these stories is that they theoretically work. This implies forethought in my mind’s eye. That DNA is a engineering marvel that has nor rivals. In fact, from “our” perspective, it’s a monopolized platform with no compet yition.
Yet, the computer/program metaphor is because our current technology has bled into our language. Still, one can extrapolate past/present/future and see this DNA is what it is. But, it’s what’s hidden that is really key here.
    And that’s the rub.
It’s apropos that the article mention the tests were done on insects. Because, humans are on their way to becoming socially engineered like..? Well …, insects. Heartless, autonomous insects?

    That’s progress?
That’s an evolutionary goal to aspire to?
