SCOTLAND: BILL TO CRIMINALIZE “HATE SPEECH”… IN THE ...

One of the perks about running a community-driven website such as this is not only the interesting articles that people send, but also the conversations with people sending them that occasionally occur. Today's article, submitted (with my thanks) by D.O.B., brings to mind a conversation with an individual that I had some weeks ago. That individual is trans-gendered, which I mention because it is intriguing that the same individual is rather more on the traditional side of cultural-political issues than the progressive one. In recounting to me an encounter with a friend, the individual related a question posed to that friend, whom, we might additionally note, was of the "progressive" persuasion. And the question hovers over this story: "Just how much 'progress' is enough?" Indeed, it goes to the heart of the matter of today's article, for one thing left conveniently "undescribed" or "undefined" is just that; and that's the key to the progressivist method of achieving and maintaining power.

With that in mind, ponder the article shared by D.O.B.:

Scottish Bill Would Criminalize ‘Hate Speech’ in Private Homes

One wonders exactly how this would ever be enforced if, say,  an Orthodox Jewish family was trying to raise its children according to the tenets of its faith. Would the children have the power or ability under such a law to report the parents to the authorities for "hate speech" against Muslims or Christians or whomever? Merely being an Orthodox Jew teaching its precepts could certainly be construed as "hate speech" in today's wacky culture and political context, and doutbless there are Christians and Muslims who would take it as such, but then balk if the same standards were applied to them. The same "standard," let it be noted, could equally be applied to agnostic or atheist parents, who could be convicted of "hate speech" against "religion" or what have you. Again, per my friend's question: "How much 'progress' is enough?" Or if I may put it rather differently, is the problem not really Orthodox Judaism or (to coin a term) "Orthodox Atheism" (or whatever), but progressivism itself?

Put in such terms, what we're really looking at is, perhaps, just another "power grab" by busybodies that want to run everyone else's lives and tell them how to live, how to think, what to read, and how to talk. With that in mind, consider the following screen capture from Twitter shared by M.D.:

https://twitter.com/OrwellNGoode/status/1321597203228577792

If children are "assets" of the state, and the state in turn is a collateralized asset of monetized-debt-creating central bankers, well then, there you are; it begins to make sense.  No, Mr. Globaloney, that Orthodox Rabbi, or that atheist father or mother or their children, are not state assets, not "human resources," but families, made up of persons, who have inalienable natural God-given rights; whether or not one wishes to acknowledge God or not, the rights remain nonetheless.

So, Scotland, you're on the wrong path here, and you'll soon wake up to the question "How much 'progress' is enough?" because ultimately the end result of the course of action is to reduce everyone to mere assets of the state.

... oh, and by the way, similar legislation is being contemplated in Canada too.

I submit that the people pushing such "legislation" are the real ones pushing "hate speech," because they hate the humanity of their neighbor, and the humanity represented by the most fundamental of all human institutions: the family.

See you on the flip side...

If anyone have greater right to to my expressions than me then anyone has greater rights over anyone for whatever reason.
The individual with other individuals is what makes up a group. If you debase the individual and give all power to groups then you debase the group made up of individuals. Individuals together make groups. Debase the individual and you have debased the group. The trick is that some individuals want to be groups.
That is an excellent instinct. When you are willing to forfeit your life for love of a group you probably evolve to become that group. But one does not evolve to be a group soul with trashing the individuals that make up that group.
Yogananda says every cell thrills to its tiny life. There are zillions of atoms in my body. They are all under my protection
If I use them up for a cheap thrill eventually I die
As humans gain greater and greater abilities over things it can become obscured where everything began, and it did not begin with humans. Just because we can not see a beginning entity does not allow us to take his/her place. One can easily see that we humans live in a contextual reality. We can see that we belong in contexts greater than ourselves and less than ourselves. It is illogical to decide we have all rights and all power over all contexts.
If we want to be honored as the main contextual entity in our space thoughts and body rights then we have to give the same respect to like entities like us who must then have the same contextual rights.

What about self hate? Gilad Atzmon calls himself a self hating jew for instance.
(David Eyek is turning into an Orwellian CoMorbid, despite the protest exercises, that is like Orswon Wells went).
How long before they put the cameras into homes, just in case the kids don’t rat on their parents.
As a hermit, do I have to dob myself in. If I swear hate in the mirror with my mandatory home mask (even for single person households) and I cannot read my lips, is it hate speech?
What about Hate Dream Crime for when they can read the thought patters with the Smart Clock that sings “I do like to be beside the bedside, I do like to be working for the Bees..”
Then there is satire… love with sarcasm. Gotta love them keystone guidestone corner stone stoners, stoned on power and the promise of a prison planet.
recall the scene in the Blues Brothers, the nazisd in the park (real life Frank Collins, born Cohen, now Frank Joseph newager)… taunting the crowd? that is what they are doing to us, inciting violence OR demoralising us in watching the Rape of The World.
Hellstorm (Goodrich book) coming to your town real soon.
I guess that is why we have to kiss the Cat’O’Nine tails before being flogged near to death. Love, Peace, Shalom (their way or else).
Sometimes I think history will repeat itself, because of their own Chutzpah they go too far, like in ALL the places they have ‘succeeded’, until the last 200 years of Das Kapital control and media mind control.
the Church for 1500 hundred years taught people to Love them, but keep them away from real power and the ability to corrupt absolutely.
How about contact tracing for Hate contamination? If youve been within hearing distance of anyone who expressed hatred your are in Mortal Danger and need to quarenteen in a Love Camp, where Love will set you free (get ready to be raped).

    Also in Scotland [quote]:

Because of COVID lockdowns in Scotland, a man named Brian Smith was not allowed to attend his uncle’s funeral.
In reaction, he sent a series of angry emails to the leader of the Scottish National Party, Nicola Sturgeon, who was responsible for the strict rules.
One of the profanity laced emails included images of Sturgeon depicted as a Nazi.
For that, Smith was charged with “telecommunications offences” which typically involve threats and abuse … even though there were no threats made.
    https://www.zerohedge.com/political/scottish-man-arrested-calling-politician-nazi

Sympathy for a man who lost his marbles because he couldn’t attend a family member’s funeral? Nope, arrest.

Good article on the limits of Real Time-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) testing:
    https://www.zerohedge.com/medical/covid-19-rt-pcr-test-how-mislead-all-humanity-accepting-societal-lock-downs
Apparently, without rational limits on the Ct (Cycle Time or Cycle Threshold or RT-PCR positivity threshold) used to get the diagnosis, the test can end-up with a huge percentage of false-positives. Coincidentally, Ct is almost never mentioned when the case-numbers are reported…

I agree with C.A. Fitts……if we take back control at the Local Level, things would improve!!

  6. Guinevere on November 5, 2020 at 4:21 pm

After living in West Hollywood for over 50 years–arguably one of the gay capitals of the world, I am familiar with these kinds of ideas to try to control the world. I loved living in WH, I love my gay friends, even tho they no longer speak to me because I am a Trump supporter. (More control….’I won’t be your friend if you support ‘him’ …)

So at this point I am too exhausted to really deal with these particular issues another nano-second. I am a very boring heterosexual woman who fell in love with Rock Hudson, Richard Chamberlain and many others back in the day … so what do I know? Do I understand life at age 74? Who knew that Paul McCartney (and John Lennon?) are murderers? Half the country voted for Joe Biden with alzheimers for President? Nothing makes any sense to me at all. Nothing.

Just give me an English country garden with Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot living next door. I can’t take much more than that.

    • FiatLux on November 6, 2020 at 7:27 am

Guinevere – Even though we grew up in different generations, I sympathize. Nothing wrong with spending time in an English country garden and forgetting about all the madness. Sorry to hear about your Calif. friends. It’s probably more about being on the West Coast than gay/straight that’s so radicalized their attitude. Plus, living in the old “gayborhoods” was like living in a bubble–really conducive to groupthink and, paradoxically, to intolerance.

U.S. Citizens are, to a large degree, assets or even wards of the state. That is what social security is. The state views us as corporations because most, if not all, of our interactions with the state are corporate.

Look at the signature line of your checks and you will see that it not a line but words “authorized representative”. You will also note that your name on the check is in all capital letters which refers to the corporation associated with you. You file a tax return for your corporation.

Our income tax system would be totally unconstitutional if it applied to human beings. That is why the state created a corporation for each of us and that corporation is taxed.

You own nothing as a human being. Everything is owned by the corporation associated with you.

It appears to be possible to disassociate yourself from the corporations attached to you by social security and live as a truly free person in the USA and truly own things, but it is not easy. I believe this is the difference between a US Citizen and a US National (read your passport). There are a few thousand people per year that give up US Citizenship and become Nationals, but I don’t fully understand this issue and solid, well sourced information is sparse.

My feeling is that Sec. Fitts has done this based on some curious statements she has made over the years, but I have not seen her address this issue directly. If I ever have the pleasure I would love to ask her in person.

whenever I feel an inkling of hate curling around a seed of conflict like a radicle seeking the dark soil, I pause and reverse toward the light struck soil.  when I see a square shouldered middle aged man, dressed like a 20s flapper girl, sequins, chiffon shiny and translucent, I marvel that the desire to be a sparkle fairy can be found anywhere.

Along these lines does anyone else see longer term trends over 10 to 100 years? How long ago did Soviet and asia countries lose all private property? How long ago did some folk get that right back? How often os that scam played cycling all wealth back up to the criminals who can afford to own govts that grant and/or deny rights?

    • Roger on November 4, 2020 at 8:55 pm

I don’t think it’s about bringing in a tyranny, I suspect they want war between the US and China and the US to lose. I suspect Europe is about to be taken out as well. Might be about tyranny and a communist dictatorship though. They seem to want to destroy all notions of human rights worldwide. Can’t do that without destroying the US. I still think this is linked to fulfilling a certain groups prophecies. Might be wrong. Just hope everyone keeps a calm head and we are wrong about a Biden presidency.

    • FiatLux on November 5, 2020 at 3:42 am

Several possible scenarios, IMO. Most I can think of aren’t too cheerful in the short to medium term, barring a really massive popular pushback against despotic governments.

My guess: central banks will still control most of the world; the WEF crowd will not stop maneuvering, and adapting to changing circumstances, to push their agenda; the gov’t systems, philosophy, self-confidence, and lifestyle of Western democracies (and, in particular, the U.S. and its 1st/2nd Amendments) will remain firmly in Mr. Global’s crosshairs, and he will do all he can to crush populist movements and erode/suppress/evade all mechanisms by which the common people could influence gov’t policy.

Personally, I’m not convinced we can avoid dystopia in the decades ahead, though Dana and others may have a different view. 🙂 I’m thinking maybe the best we can do is survive it and try to live “off the control grid” as much as we can. Possibly emigration, for those able to do it, if any reasonable places to live remain.

As CAF says, they will ultimately fail, but I don’t underestimate their power to do lots of damage in the meantime. The failed Soviet experiment lasted over 70 years.

One of the most alarming aspects of this covid ‘thing’ is the shift from the Western ideals of free thought and expression, of dialogue and debate, to compliance, aquiesence, and unchallenging obeyance of authority.
The authoritarian use of weaponised psychology to enforce contradictory and arbitrary diktats of our social behaviour to create primal responses of fear, anxiety, and insecurity seems so cynically manipulative, so contrived.
The normal human toolkit of emotions includes strong feelings such as can be described as ‘hate’ – maybe it has or had an evolutionary purpose. But it is still there on our emotional spectrum. If some wish to blunt our emotional range or nullify us as feeling humans they may wish to start by criminalising ‘hate’ emotion.
By making the home a place of insecurity, a panopticon of self-policed thought, there can be no end. Indeed, “how much anxious, appeasing, self-censorship is enough?”

    • Sandygirl on November 5, 2020 at 12:46 pm

I saw hate speech 20 years ago when they started demonizing smokers. When not enough people listened “they”started the 2nd hand smoke joke and 3rd hand smoke, where infants would die or catch cancer from licking the carpet and walls. This whole health craze is just another weapon they will be using against people in the near future.

  14. Marco on November 4, 2020 at 1:41 pm

If I understand the legal environment in the Netherlands, then I have to conclude that by being a donor (only opting out now) is signing away you body to the state. By having this in place, your body indeed is a state asset and by being a state asset, the state has the “right” to do maintenance on its assets. Hence the link to the Corona virus and the push for the vaccinations. By injecting us with a CRISPR CAS enzym it will give the authorities the possibilities and the legallity to alter our DNA where they deem this necessary. The implementation of the laws and the technology are going hand in glove for the purpose of having AI capturing our stemcells, the origin of all our bodypart and functions. In other words the reproducing engine of the human being.

Re: Scotland; you said ” … persons, who have inalienable natural God-given rights; whether or not one wishes to acknowledge God or not, the rights remain nonetheless.” On paper, most of us like to think these inalienable rights are real and inviolate. In practice though, all we really have, and have had for quite a long time, is nothing more than privileges, granted, or not, at the discretion of others.

  15. FiatLux on November 4, 2020 at 1:36 pm

I submit that what the authors of such legislation hate is divergence of opinion and, specifically, divergence from any of their opinions. In other words, divergence from the party line. It is patently absurd to apply the term “progress” to the rolling back of hard-won legal protections of our natural rights, such as freedom of thought and expression. And, as Dr. Farrell suggests, it is impossible to define “hate,” which means hate will be whatever the party line of the day decrees it to be.

If “hate speech” in the home is made illegal, courts will soon be issuing subpoenas for people’s smartphones and voice records from their Alexa device or smart thermostat to see what these devices (“inadvertently” or not) may have recorded. This is where we’re headed if we don’t resist these outrageous laws.

    • Sandygirl on November 5, 2020 at 1:49 pm

We seem to be giving up more rights with every law passed/indoctrinated. We don’t need the right to practice freedom of speech, it is a human right – a natural right. By mishandling it as a civil right with guidelines and restrictions to follow… It is taken from us. Free speech existed – until “They” told us it’s not free anymore .

    I’ve talked w/the transgendered, and must admit;
I had a tough time not framing it’s dialogue …
See? I colored it, it; instead, of human.
I can fake it; but admit here, that down deep, I’m prejudice when it comes to that category.
It’s no coincidence that my 4 magazine subscriptions all danced the transgender’s in-crowd message in the same month issues; making me thinks[yes it’s bad English]; that “they” had a “trans’ agenda to stuff down our throats. Admittedly I scanned through the article at warp speed, retaining little.

Oh! It’s another power grab. Or, another way of putting it; another of our freedoms stomped on, and calling it progress.
    Progress toward unaccountable tyranny?
    Yes!
Soon you’ll need a “New 21st Century Language Speech For Dummies” w/a special dance section on how to avoid stepping out-of-politically-correct-tunes of the mumbo-jumbo-jive.

And Scotland is just the lead in this dance of worldwide tyranny.

When standing in the middle of the Globe Theatre, the words just come to me, and I set them free, like birds flying with Doctor Who.

In the Globe Theatre, there is a natural divide, between creators on stage, and spectators of applause.

When reaching a level of ecstasy, that creates egregore, Judas becomes uncomfortable, and leaves the table.

Then the jealous deed, in the dark, becomes the evil divide, against the mountain speech being endorsed.

  20. Laura on November 4, 2020 at 10:19 am

In a woke world you have to be brave to explain the nuances of why criminalizing hate speech is detrimental.
    1. Criminalizing speech because of the potential effect on a person’s state of mind (stirring up hatred) improperly deflects responsibility away from being responsible for how one reacts to information. 2. Not all cultures are equal and some cultural practices are abhorrent to life affirming principles, and therefore some practices should be called out as negative, and society can debate the equities. Shutting down debate about culture is censorship and can inhibit positive change. 3. Stirring up hatred is too difficult to define, unlike encouraging violence or harm, which can be characterized with particularity and constitute a crime.

One could also argue that the communication of prohibiting hate speech is discrimination of a viewpoint and therefore a form of hate speech itself, if the proffered prohibition stirs up animosity.   So, the proposed law is hate speech. A suitable thought for an Orwellian day.

    • Sandygirl on November 5, 2020 at 5:38 pm

      Laura, like button.
This law was made to be broken. That’s what they want and that’s their agenda. Social cordialness is one thing while indoctrinated law is another. Common law is not what makes society cordial.
