TIDBIT: THAT MYSTERIOUS HOLE IN THE SOYUZ CAPSULE

Apropos of today's main blog, you might remember the story of the small drilled "hole" that was discovered in the Soyuz capsule a couple of years ago that had delivered an American crew to the International Space Station. "N" found this article and passed it along (again, thank you), concerning the Roscosmos investigations into the matter, and while Russia isn't pressing the issue, it would appear that it was an act of sabotage performed by one of the American crew:

    I remember this.
    Shows the character of what’s coming to space; if the re-set culture wins.
    Russians symbolize the counter-culture; human.
    The USSA is not the way forward;
    it symbolizes enclosures of past, present & future.

    Space is open; and should be pursued w/in open systems.
    Not bought, sold &exploited; but open, expansive, & explored.

    If Earth living is going to seed space;
    let it be open blossoms that know no boundaries,
    not enclosed proprietary lifeforms of enslaved beings.

    I vote that it was the woman astronaut by the fact she is a female. With 7 previous drill holes in the bathroom, it would have been way too obvious for the males to go to the bathroom that often.?
