ADMIRAL SCHOENBACH, AND “PLAN C”
Remember that German Vice-Admiral that resigned recently over some comments made about Russia and the Ukraine? Vice Admiral Kay-Achim Schoenbach? As we first noted the story, Schoenbach was forced to resign as head of the Germany navy because he supposedly made some comments not to the liking of the government of the Ukraine, and because he said that the Crimean peninsula, like it or not, was now Russian and was going to stay Russian. As I put it, it struck me that Schoenbach's comments may have been of the sort that governments sometimes demand of ministerial or military officials; when they need to send sharp and clear messages oftentimes such officials are made to "fall on their sword," say something outlandish (but true), and resign and go into comfy retirements.
L.G.L.R. spotted this story, and according to this source, there was apparently much more to Schoenbach's statements:
The headline says it all: as far as German (and other European powers') thinking goes, Russia is needed as a counter-balance to the growing power of China:
Naval chief Kay-Achim Schoenbach conceded Russia is a pivotal part of his country and Europe's strategy to contain China in a severe blow to Ukraine's (sic) hope for support.
And a little further:
German Vice-Admiral Kay-Achim Schönbach appeared to signal earlier this week his country has been reluctant to intervene due to Russia's potential contribution in containing China.
The Vice-Admiral told a military briefing having a "big country' such as Russia as a partner could benefit not only Germany but for Europe as a whole.
Let the full implications of this sink in, because given the fact that Russia and Europe are scheduled to begin talks about the Ukraine, talks to which the USA and NATO have not been invited, means something very significant: Europe and the USA are deeply - let me repeat that - deeply divided over their respective visions of (1) strategic threats, and (2) Russia's role in European and global affairs. Europe is content to pursue trade agreements with both Russia and China, but it is fully cognizant that Russia is the "pivot power" in the growing Eurasian trade bloc, and the only power with sufficient military and strategic depth to offset China, a depth that Europe knows that its trade and technology can only enhance.
Russia knows this too, and hence Mr. Putin's troop buildups have nothing to do with threats of war, and everything to do with making it very clear to the European powers and members of NATO that Russia simply cannot tolerate any further NATO expansion to the East. They have everything to do with demonstrating to Europe that Europe's future with the American Empire is increasingly dangerous and bleak.
Vice Admiral Schoenbach simply stated the obvious: that no matter how many twists and turns Swampington indulges itself in, its narratives are collapsing: the planscamdemic-great reset narrative is failing; so plan B, the Ukraine, had to be pushed, and now that too is failing.
So... what's plan C?
And, we need to ask, is this really about Russia and the Ukraine, or something very different? Is it really about the strange connections of the current leadership of the swamp with the Ukraine, and with China?
Anyway, this is another of those cases where your guess is as good as mine, and you tell me....
See you on the flip side...
