The tragedy is that  people are dying in this geopolitical circus.

But consider, if people were not dying, what we're watching would be a bad Hollyweird "B" comedy, an Abbot and Costello farce like "Who's on First?" only without Abbot and Costello's sense of timing and delivery.

The latest farce in this otherwise deadly serious geopolitical kabuki theater being waged by Mr. Globaloney and his lackeys in Swampington DC-Mordor-on-the-Potomac is that now they're considering imposing sanctions on India!

"Why?" you might reasonably ask. Well, it's because Mr. Modi and the rest of India have cozied up to Russia and are buying a great deal of the military equipment from Russia:

Biden weighing sanctions on India over Russian military stockpiles

Well whoop-dee-woo... "I'm really angry now!  How dare you Mr. Modi!".... NOT.

I'm old enough to remember Mrs. Ghandi (no... to those who have recently graduated from an American quackademy, that is not Mrs. Mahatma Ghandi; it's Indira  Gha... oh nevermind...) and her purchases of military equipment from Russia.

Now, here's the thing: at the height of the Cold War, when tensions regularly ran high between Moscow and Swampington DC-Mordor-on-the-Potomac, and when Mrs. Not-Mahatma-but-Indira Ghandi was buying all sorts of stuff from Brezhnev, the last thing on Swampington DC's mind was sanctioning India. Why drive a potential friend even further into the opposition's embrace?

Well, read the first two paragraphs of this article:

The Biden administration is weighing whether to impose sanctions against India over its stockpile of and reliance on Russian military equipment as part of the wide-ranging consequences the West is seeking to impose on Moscow over its invasion of Ukraine (sic et passim).

Donald Lu, the assistant secretary of State for South Asian affairs, on Thursday told lawmakers in a hearing that the administration is weighing how threatening India's historically close military relationship with Russia is to U.S. security.

And that in spite of this:

In 2016, India was named a “Major Defense Partner” with the U.S., a unique designation that serves to elevate defense trade and technology. Defense contracts between the U.S. and India are said to have amounted to $20 billion since 2008.

India is also a member of the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue with the U.S., Japan and Australia, a grouping that focuses on countering China’s ambitions in the Indo-Pacific.

President Biden held a video call with Quad leaders on Thursday, according to the White House, “to discuss the war against Ukraine and its implications for the Indo-Pacific.”

One wonders how that phone call went... maybe something like this:

"Ahh....h-h-hello?  Is this N-na-na-rendrmphsz.... ahm... is this Mr. Modi?  .... yea... Joe Biden here... you can call me Joe if you want...ahh... yea we want to ahm.... work with you guys in containing ... you know... the thing up there...ahh... what's it called..."

"China, Mr. President?" he replies, drumming his fingers on his desk and rolling his eyes.

"...yea, yea! That!   Yea we really wanna co-opermgfghs.... co-operznvcxc.... work together.  Oh by the way, we're considering sanctioning you because you buy too much from, and actually like, those guys up there in...  you know... what's hismphzt-"

"Putin, Mr. President," another roll of the eyes.

Now, whether this phone call went anywhere close to how I depicted it (and I strongly suspect it did) I contend, however much India (or any other nation in that region) may mouth condemnations of Russia and however much they may mouth their support of Swampington-Mordor-on-the-Potomac, that under their breath and behind Swampington's back they are all burning the phone lines with conversations about "just what the hell is going on over there?!?!?" and "have the Americans completely lost their minds?" And part of those conversations, like it or not, are going to be about preserving their sovereignty, and how to contain China, without America in the picture, because an irrational actor and a decaying empire ultimately cannot be counted upon...

... and they - and Russia - know that America is "not agreement capable." Indeed, we want the largest democracy on Earth - India - to act like it is another satrapy of that empire, while sanctioning it!

That's not a mixed message folks.  It's just childish insanity...

See you on the flip side....

The obvious governmental subversion activities against the Trump Presidency.
The obviously deep state engineered “social unrest” of 2020 – a domestic color revolution.
The obvious corruption of the 2020 election in order to put a pair of ridiculously unfit people into the highest elective offices.
The January 6, 2021 activities in the Capitol, with law breaking instigated by government agents salted into the crowd, a la color revolution methods.
What are essentially poisonous injections being administered to the population through governmental action and edict.
I didn’t watch the State of the Union address, but the snippets I saw from it conveyed an age hobbled President stumbling through a speech, with a geriatric woman behind him behaving oddly, and the other woman behind him having gotten through politics essentially by prostituting herself to her “mentor” (Willy Brown).

      > Any foreign leader looking at this has to be thinking that this a crippled paper tiger.

Bingo. A paper tiger with warring children at home, an elite that’s destroying its own country, a pitiful figurehead as “leader,” and a reserve-currency monopoly in steady and accelerating decline.

      • ragiza on March 10, 2022 at 6:21 pm

I keep wondering what amount of USD is tied up in reserve currency foreign trade role. The shift away from the USD in foreign trade implies this money, by some mechanisms, will be returning to the US economy, facilitating inflation based on goods supply shortages due to Covid induced trade disruptions, and now ag and O&G etc. induced shortages from the Ukraine (deep state) operation.

Maybe a co-Presidency of Harris and Pelosi can put things straight…

the people really running things aren’t elected, they’re low grade, detached from reality, ultra-rich people of inherited wealth, advised by conniving intellectuals from universities that have been turning out the “wokes”. And if things go really wrong, they have deep caverns with vast stockpiles that can go down into and hide and ride it all out.

Are you familiar with the film White Heat staring James Cagey that is what the West has for leadership they don’t care and have never cared about their subjects or citizens. China is preparing for a climate minimum meanwhile our elites a whining about a climate maximum as if that would be a disaster go figure that out.

Looks like the USSA is running the global policies of all countries.
    India didn’t comply[per above].
Russia didn’t, and now is being used as cover to destroy the USSA.
    China didn’t comply[below].

What other countries are going to dare to be themselves
and serve their own country’s interests?

Is this a new USSA strategy: a naked emperor surrounded by all countries?
The USSA needs a new AI; or, someone w/more than two working grey cells.

  7. FiatLux on March 9, 2022 at 5:57 pm

It’s not merely childish insanity; it’s suicidal insanity. I wonder who is actually setting U.S. foreign policy these days…

  8. Richard on March 9, 2022 at 5:33 pm

. . . “not agreement capable.” . . . .In one’s view, that suggests . . . . [compromised] . . which begs the questions, “Who and what are compromised?” . . & . . “And, by how much and by whom?”. . “Will this Foreign Relations quagmire remedy itself by default with the actions each of those sovereigns over there take on their own?” They know the area well spanning several millennia, recent centuries to now.

Big movements take time in as much as they take resources and agreeing populations. Besides, new toys that have a bigger bang soon encroaches onto sovereign lands and resources if not reduced or checked. At any rate, those sovereigns know that certain administrations come and go with a cycle all of their own. They know how to count cycles large and small, too. The people carry the weight no matter who fumbles domestic and foreign policies.

The boastful past dealings of the present administration might implicate some of them, but such a situation did not just pop out of the clouds as much as some folk’s heads seem to be in them. Weapons deals have been going on for some time. What would be more significant would be the sophistication and advancement of those weapons systems which the attached article hints. There are a lot of sovereigns in the west-southwestern Pacific with ambitions but not the fear mongering means connected to a push-button firing mechanism.

The wiser amongst the ambitious, no doubt, are weighing their remaining options while geopolitics unravel with unexpected consequences. Will those that did their homework pass their exams they find themselves in the middle. Paying attention seems more important than mirror-imaging what should be expected. Those that know all there is to know do raise your hand to answer correctly. One will abstain at this time as there are substantial homework assignments yet to accomplish.

Is there a logical reason to presuppose that the majority is always right and that the individual in error?

Could this be true now? . . . “Insanity in individuals is something rare – but in groups, parties, nations, and epochs, it is the rule.” ~ Friedrich Nietzsche

Virginia Slave Codes of 1705 were followed, by European wars of religion ending in 1712, causing Freemasonry to be founded in 1717, as hideout for Jesuits.

The Founding Fathers are all papal puppets, because Freemasons were Jesuit agents, by default, who hid as war criminals, wearing apron as disguise.

Biden, the bug on the windshield, is also a puppet, brought in, when papacy calls for the reserves, scraping the barrel of half-wits, from the loony bin.

The drooling president of the papal puppacy!

    • anakephalaiosis on March 9, 2022 at 2:02 pm

      * 1/3 of German population died, during the European wars of religion, that lasted two centuries, and therefore a hunt for the instigating war criminals was on, in the 18th century. Thus the Jesuit agents needed a hideout, behind the apron, fleeing to the New World.

Biden is playing the role that Boris Yeltsin played in the rape of Russia?
Where the USSR was financially imploded, and almost destroyed – from w/in.
The USA’s most deadly enemies. are those pulling the pin on her economy.
To do that they must do what Kissinger termed:

    Are “they” crazy insane?
Or, are the digitized leadership, bureaucracy and others brains
becoming virtually empty; except for the vast programming going on, therein?
And/or, are quantized AI’s running this globalized farcical tragedy?

I as so many, have been pondering who is really in charge in Swampington DC-Mordor-on-the-Potomac.
Maybe it really is President Biden!
    A very scary thought no?

    • KSW on March 9, 2022 at 8:41 am

No, Biden isn’t in charge. I don’t know why the bullies in the schoolyard picked him, other than he’s insecure with a big ego that needs tending and far enough gone to not object to anything – then, there’s the likely blackmail.

Ray Dalio is pushing his book here, but this animation explains what he believes are the historical cycles to how new world orders come into being – worth watching. The only thing missing in his explanation, I think, are the bullies – the ones with the long game to enslave the planet and to kill off a large percentage of the population, who are not so subtle about their manipulations and making it almost impossible for the US to conduct coherent, sane and legitimate foreign policies and actions. I don’t like this USSA – I want the original USA back.

      • KSW on March 9, 2022 at 8:56 am

Okay, so right after I posted I left JF’s site and went to ZeroHedge and saw this story … then, I had a really weird thought pop into my head. I was wondering how the bullies are going to get Biden out of office since no one can imagine him making it the next 3 years … another assassination? Or, do they take our Harris and then Biden leaves office due to health – who does that leave – Pelosi who picks Clinton as her VP?

So even former American allies like Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates are not cooperating with sanctions and their calls to lower the price of a barrel of oil by producing more and thus put pressure on Russia. It has long been checkmate and only if you believe that Joe Biden and the European leaders have completely lost their minds can you believe what they are doing; otherwise it is simply a script.
