For some reason, Mr. Globaloney doesn’t want us peasants using natural resources. He wants things like indoor heating/cooling, abundant running water, individual ownership of cars, and any kind of travel to become exclusively privileges of the ultra-rich. I can’t figure out whether (1) the upper echelons of Globaloney truly believe the masses are going to use up all the natural resources (meaning there won’t be enough left for the Davos crowd to live the high life — can’t have that!!), or (2) the people at the top know this is Malthusian nonsense and are simply using resource depletion as an excuse to impose greater control. I suspect that it’s 2 but that most of the middle managers, and a lot of the gullible public, actually believe the climate/resource/overpopulation narrative.

In my experience, Green warriors and sincere climate-change alarmists tend to be middle- to upper-middle-class people who live relatively comfortable lives. I think many of them will change their tune when they can no longer drive the kids to soccer practice in their personal SUVs, or fill up the swimming pool in the backyard, use a dishwasher in the kitchen, or even take a hot shower for more than two minutes a day.

The attempt to de-industrialize Germany, which I suspect will fail, could provide a useful set of “domestic enemies” for subsequent hardline Fourth Reich politicians, after the inevitable collapse of their current WEF facade. Though hopefully the Germans will not fall for this, after the horrendous details of what has been happening in the Ukraine since the 1990s and in particular after 2003 when that country was dragged into the US war against Iraq.

Let’s look at the money trail….. “In June 2022 China exported $10.6B and imported $9.37B from Germany, resulting in a positive trade balance for China of $1.2B. Between June 2021 and June 2022 the exports of China have increased by $1.1B (11.6%) from $9.46B to $10.6B, while imports decreased by $-1.26B (-11.9%) from $10.6B to $9.37B.”

So, let me pose this question: Does anyone believe Germany’s so-called leaders give a rats-rear-end about the poor, down-trodden slave peasants in China who toil in the factories to produce all the goods Germany import from China? — No, of course none of us do because it’s all about money, and power German industrialists recieve from their trade deals…. Yes, its just a rhetohical question, Dana

Further, as you wrote any “attempt to de-industrialize Germany….will fail.

So, here’s the real question: What are the German industrialists going to do since their nuclear power plants are aging so fast, and the price of other energy sources keep rising? Is some meaningful political shift underway in Germany? What do you think?

Yup, I live in Germany and my landlord just told us that they will raise the monthly bill for amenities by one Euro per square meter. In my case, 60 euros more per month. This will not include my personal electricity bill, which comes on top. While the politicians keep talking about shuffling things around, nobody is talking about ending these insane sanctions.

We have a very stupid and immature young member of the Green Party who already made a fool of herself during the PSD. Now she is honestly talking about letting children, down to 2 years old vote. People can now change their gender once a year in Germany. It is all completely insane.

A US gal. of gasoline contains 115000 BTUs. Until we find at least an equivalent, the green deal is a pipedream.

Waar een wil is, is een weg, maar de wil ontbreekt want men wil het volk onder rantsoen brengen:

Leaders of Germany’s largest island demand Berlin rethink Russia policy

Berlin’s policy of trying to give up imports of Russian natural gas is likely to create hardship and spark unrest, seven mayors from the German island of Ruegen wrote in a letter sent to the regional and federal governments on Wednesday. They also urged the federal government to allow gas imports via the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, given the current technical difficulties with Nord Stream 1 – something Berlin has steadfastly rejected.

In the letter addressed to federal economy minister Robert Habeck and Manuela Schwesig, prime minister of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the mayors “strongly condemn” the current conflict in Ukraine but urge the government to consider the damage its policy could do to the German population and the economy, according to the news agency DPA.

“We are of the opinion that the path taken by the federal government to disconnect from Russian energy sources is not the right one,” the seven mayors wrote. Initially drafted by the leaders of Bergen, Binz and Sassnitz, the letter was later signed by four more jurisdictions on Ruegen, Germany’s largest island and a popular tourist destination.

Giving up gas imports from Russia would mean an explosion in the cost of living, which would lead to social instability and unrest that could get out of control, the mayors wrote, according to German media. Calls from the federal government to save energy – such as showering less and foregoing hot water – “defy understanding,” they added.

Among their suggestions was to get additional natural gas via the Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Finished in late 2021, the pipeline from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea was just waiting for the operating permit from Berlin – which was suspended indefinitely on February 22, two days before Russia sent troops into Ukraine.

NS2 was supposed to double the volume of Russian gas exports, but was delayed by US sanctions seeking to protect Ukraine’s gas transit earnings. Nord Stream 1, which continues to supply Germany with gas, is currently operating at only 20% capacity, due to maintenance requirements. Its operator, Gazprom, says several turbines at the Portovaya compressor station need servicing to maintain certification. The first one was held up by Canada, citing anti-Russian sanctions over the conflict in Ukraine, until Berlin intervened seeking an exemption. NS2 does not use Siemens turbines, and can be maintained regardless of the sanctions.

That is a brilliant argument, to seep gas from NS2, because NS1 needs repairs, by Canadian spares.

It is kind of switching beer taps, at the local pub.

Could there be a sane reason why the leadership appears to have gone; if not flat-out stupid – then stark-raving mad. The obvious insanity; is then discussed rationally, by an international press – that absolutely goes hopping merrily along w/the Harvey’s giant rabbit narrative. Now, the “normal” audience knows there’s no “Harvey”. Dowd, maybe has had one too many for the road.
The press is known for drinking; but that doesn’t appear to be the sane reason for the obvious madness in leadership; either in the press and/or governance.

Now, anybody believing in a Western government promise, might rightfully be considered insane. That’s just how it is. Obama didn’t keep one promise. But try telling that to a TV addict.
It just won’t fly. The point being, no Western leaders keep promises. And Treaties? Made to be broken; like FBI relationships.

    Now, you can’t get any lower than China Joe;
he has set the executive limbo bar[opposite of gold bar].
He’s the #1 national security threat; followed closely by the Congress & Senate.
Why, it’s enough to get Dowd drinking again, just to visit his old traditional friend Harvey.

    Europe loves the cowboys.
But lately, they’re looking more and more like the other
[Indians, or for those keeping up w/the ever changing rules – Native Americans].
Not long for the reservations they’ve ended up in.

Of course, Dodo bird policies; like green energy replacing, in toto – petroleum,
is the definition of an insane leadership that has swallowed one too many
a cock & bull storyline, that even a five-old would be embarrassed to admit.

    The leadership is representing themselves and their paymasters;
everyone else is quite simply, the enemy.
    The sooner the people recognize
the shills are playing only for the owners of the house,
the better off everyone will else will become.

    If you don’t believe me,
just ask Harvey; he’ll tell you,
“Go Green! What could possibly go wrong?”

    • InfiniteRUs on July 29, 2022 at 8:53 am

I suspect a lot of the leadership has been taking the same feel good prescription drugs that mass shooters seem to have all been prescribed. I see a lot of these feel good pills being used by very wealthy people in many of the houses I tile. These drugs are known to lower IQ’s and inhibitions.

    • anakephalaiosis on July 29, 2022 at 9:37 am

Correction! Europeans don’t love cowboys. We simply recognize our own indigenous brutality, as reminiscence in the Wild West.

Man doesn’t engage feminism anymore, because end of line has been reached, and next step is termination.

Chicks opening mouth have death wish, relaying on uniformed protection, recruited from ranks of men, who don’t care.

      Saxon-Scythian ain’t no Southern gentleman.

BTW, patriarchy isn’t raised. It’s hell raised. Seen from European perspective, manhood doesn’t reach its fullest potential in America, unless it goes native:

        https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/j0u5cwunomvj8tq/out-of-the-box.mp4

Last I looked, Europeans were natives, and some are very deeply rooted, through millennia. Bards don’t grow on trees. They pop up like mushrooms.

        • InfiniteRUs on July 29, 2022 at 9:37 pm

You do realize the wild, wild west mentality is still alive and well in many parts of America don’t you? The streets of many areas in the US are still mean unlike much of Scandinavia and the British Isles. Now the last ten years of mass surveilance, computer tracking and army of police officers on the roads and streets temporarily curbed the violence I grew up with in my youth but that isn’t lasting. Gangs will be running things soon if the elected leaders don’t get off their head meds and return to sanity.

      • InfiniteRUs on July 29, 2022 at 9:48 pm

Anyone in America can tell you Southern Gentlemen are the last people on Earth you want to get angry with you. We are raised to be twice as polite and respectful to others as they are to us but twice as mean and dangerous to those who are disrespectful. Visiting, rude northerners who mistake that trait as weakness don’t do very well down here in the South, LOL.

I would start with gullible then stupid before I go to crazy legally, I think you can’t use stupidity as a defense for idiotic decisions.
