As soon as I opened last week's emails and began to sort through them to schedule this week's blogs and honourable mentions, I spotted this story and article shared by T. M., and knew that I'd have to blog about it. In fact, on this one there was no "internal debate" at all; it went right to the top of the heap and became this week's "lead blog."

NASA  (or as we like to refer to it here, Never A Straight Answer, and Not A Space Agency) released a picture of a :"something" in September of last year (2023).  Frankly, when I saw this, and saw the date on the article, it raised many questions, not the least was why no one seemed to have spotted it before, nor talked about it.  Indeed, a quick search on Richard C. Hoagland's radio show website, and his, did not yield any results. Curioser and curioser, though I don't for a moment assume Mr. Hoagland missed this. More probable is that I simply missed his discussion of it somehow! In my case, part of the problem may be that the story was carried by The Economic Times, hardly a source for the latest in "space anomaly news".

But sure enough, a quick search on NASA's own website confirmed the "dumpling," or "ravioli", "perogi", or whatever it is, is indeed there, and was indeed photographed by NASA's Cassini mission.

The "dumpling", as some are calling it, is the moon of Saturn named "Pan", that planet's inmost moon, and what it shows is something as stunning as the famous pictures that probe took of the saturnian moon Iapetus:

Cassini Reveals Strange Shape of Saturn’s Moon Pan

NASA shares pictures of a dumpling-shaped object in space Read more at:

The NASA article was, incidentally posted on 2017, which gives us 6 years before anyone at The Economic Times  noticed it and posted their story. Cassini itself was launched in 1997, and entered orbit around Saturn in 2004. There's no date indicated - at least as far as my very quick searches revealed - when the images of Pan (or for that matter, Iapetus), were taken.  In any case, here's the little moonlet Pan:

Now before we go any further toward the end of the twig of high octane speculation, let me just state that as far as I am concerned, this moonlet looks artificial. You may disagree, but I think it's fairly safe to say that, regardless of one's interpretation, it is mighty strange.  Then we read a little further in The Economic Times' version of the story, and there's this "disclosure":

Elaborating on Pan, the US space agency said that it was discovered by M.R Showalter in 1990 using images taken by the Voyager 2 spacecraft nine years earlier.

You don't say, and we're just now really hearing about it? And what, pray tell, were the good folks at Never A Straight Answer doing all that time as they were pouring over their photographs? What were the conclusions? Who were the analysts looking at the pictures? &c.

On its dumpling shape, NASA said, "The ridge around Pan's equator is similar to Saturn’s moon Atlas, and gives the moon its distinctive dumpling shape. (Emphasis added)

What a minute! You mean, there's another saturnian moon with a little ridge running around it? There's another "dumpling" in orbit around Saturn called Atlas? So we have not one, but two "dumplings" each with the telltale "ridge"? When one adds the three parallel ridges running along the equator of the saturnian moon Iapetus, that makes three saturnian moons, all with the telltale ridges. I need hardly remind the regular readers here of the old aphorism, "one is an anomaly, two is a coincidence, and three is a pattern."

Then, in a final parting shot, we have this:

According to NASA the Cassini spacecraft took the images from different perspectives: the image on the left appears to be taken from above the moon, while the image on the right seems to be taken from below it. "The moon has a flat ridge around its midpoint, and lines that look like they were scraped across its surface," NASA added. (Emphasis added.)

Scrape lines?!? Scraped by what, or whom? and why? The choice of words to me is highly suggestive, because such diction implies something to do the scraping, and by dint of that, a someone doing it. But looking at the picture closely, those lines appear to possess some regularity, as if they are stress lines formed be constant exposure to the large gravity of the planet, and perhaps revealing underlying structure. Look closely at the image on the right, and underlying structure pops out.

So let me leap right to the end of the high octane speculation twig once again. When one puts these images into the context of Norman Bergrun's Ringmakers of Saturn, one ends up with quite a scenario. In Bergrun's view, as the Voyager probe flew by Saturn and snapped its pictures, it became clear to the analysts back on Earth (so he argues), that "someone" was at Saturn, and even "mining" that planet's rings, utilizing a technology that can only be described as enormous. And if it was not an enormous technology, and if what one saw were life forms of some sort, than that was even worse news, because either way, if whoever owned the technology, or was those life forms, should turn their attentions to Earth with hostile intention, then we were done for.

In case you're thinking "who the heck is Norman R. Bergrun?" he was hardly, like yours truly, a hack from South Dakota; he was a real scientist and engineer and heavily involved in defense matters; here's a brief biography from the Smithsonian Institution's National Air and Space Museum website:

Bergrun is author of the classic books Ringmakers of Saturn and Tomorrows Technology Today which document the existence of extraterrestrial vehicles of immense power. A scientist who pioneered the methodology of thermal ice prevention design, he is also credited with roll-stability laws for airplanes and missiles. Bergrun was manager of test planning and analysis for the Polaris Underwater Launch Missile System and evaluated satellite system applications. Also a director of Information Systems, he founded his own company in 1971 and is cited in "Who's Who in the World" and other reference works.

(see dr-norman-bergrun)

So I am simply adding to Dr. Bergrun's very wild and woolly high octane speculation that these three moons of Saturn - Atlas, Pan, and Iapetus  - with more or less the same generalized feature represent someones's activity around that planet, and how long they have been there is anyone's guess. But, if the three moons are any guide, and if in fact they are artificial objects, then giving the cratering, the evidences of gravitational stresses, and so on, it must have been for a very long time. And, let us note, that in Bergrun's version of this scenario, they were still there during the Voyager 1 probe fly-by in the 1980s.

One is permitted to surmise that if anything approaching Bergrun's analysis in The Ringmakers of Saturn was done at the top secret levels of NASA, that this would have touched off a quiet storm inside the national security bowels of the Reagan Administration. The whole endless "Star Wars" saga - the quick push for exotic space based weapons technologies - and the rather fevered discussions between Mr. Reagan and Mr. Gorbachev about lending help to each other in case of an "extraterrestrial invasion" take on a much more urgent tone, for these discussions were not about distant philosophical or theoretical possibilities, but literally about something suspected to be right next door.

So what, really, are we looking at? A dumpling? a ravioli? a perogi? Probably not. But we are looking at a pattern. And when one contemplates the odd timeline associated with this image, and with the admissions from the article itself, this anomaly was first suspected back with the Voyager probe.

So the images from Cassini appear to me to be the imaging of a follow-up espionage and intelligence mission. After all, both NASA and the European and Italian Space Agencies were involved in the construction of the probe. In this "Star wars/Norman Bergrun/Ringmakers of Saturn" retrospective, it is good to remember that the ancient lore of a "quarantine zone" or "demilitarized zone" around the Earth has two (very different) boundaries. One is defined by the orbit of the Moon around Earth. But the other is formed by the orbit of "the outermost planet", which, in the age that such lore was formed, was Saturn... Kronos...

...Gigantomachy, anyone?

...See you on the flip side...

Have a look at these photos from NASA.

To my eyes, these are either the same object or the same model!

An independent scientist wrote a paper called “Saturn’s Sweeper Moons Predicted” back around 1980 predicting the presence of at least six small “sweeper” moons responsible for sweeping ring matter to explain the gaps in the rings of Saturn.

The rings of Saturn are the result of the discharge of the solar capacitor described by the same scientist in his famous “3-part comet paper” titled “The Nature and Origin of Comets and the Evolution of Celestial Bodies”.

This is a great story! Thanks!
As the Enterprise closes on the object in Saturn orbit, Kirk stares at the viewscreen and Dr. McCoy enters the bridge.
“Spock, what are we looking at?”
“An oblate spheroid with a skirt,” says Spock, raising an eyebrow. “Most peculiar.”
“Dammit, Jim! It’s not natural,” says McCoy. “Just look at that abomination. It’s like a Christmas cookie mated with a Fortune Cookie.”
“Captain, the skirt appears to have a hexagonal shape,” said Spock.
“Is geometry all you can talk about at a time like this, Spock! Have you no compassion for what this could have been? A beautiful round moon?”
“Dr. McCoy, I did not say this was a moon. A satellite perhaps. Not every orbiting object is a moon.”
“Take us closer, Mr. Sulu,” said Kirk. “Spock, are those ridges on the surface scarring from battle damage?”
“Their spacing and pattern suggests they were made by external forces acting on the object but I am detecting no signs of residual radiation or molecular disruption.”
“It looks like a giant thumbprint, Spock!” Said McCoy. “Didn’t you ever make Christmas cookies with your mother?”
“Mr. Spock, what does the NASA brief on this object tell us?” said Kirk.
Spock raises an eyebrow. “Not helpful, Captain. As you know, NASA’s mission was to misinform the public about objects and artifacts indicating the existence of intelligent and technologically advanced alien life forms, to support the government’s contention that UFOs and sightings of alien life forms were products of human error, imagination, or hoaxes.”
“What about the classified briefs on this object?”
“All destroyed, Captain. Or disappeared into Unacknowledged Special Access Programs and defense contractor files.”
“The Dark Ages,” said McCoy. “How did we ever get out here?”

Joseph, I also can’t recall that Richard C. Hoagland has covered this (Pan and Atlas moons) on either The Enterprise Mission website or The Other SIde of Midnight radio show.
There is however, his tour de force report from The Enterprise Mission website covering the extremely strange moon Iapetus – ‘Moon With A View’ which is well worth reading and digesting by anyone who has not already seen it. It is definitely and by far Hoagland’s best investigation.

Here is the Cassini photo of the amazing view of Saturn, its rings and moons from Iapetus.

Hoagland’s question is still correct – “What Did Arthur (C. Clarke) Know, and When Did He Know it?”

One natural possibility I can think of to describe the flat discs around all three moons is the moon’s spin, periodical partial thaw, and Saturn’s gravity. Since the moons are covered in frozen liquids when they partially thaw the equators flow out slightly as they spin towards Saturn’s gravitational pull. Over time the ice takes its current form. If you look inside the Earth you see where there appear to be growths off the core of our planet stretching towards the spinning equatorial rim of our beloved Earth. These structures do not occur in the direction of either poles but only towards the spinning rim. Scientist claim these structures are proof of a past planetary collision and are the remains of this other planet trapped in Earth’s interior. From recent discoveries of my own I suspect they are wrong. Under tremendous pressures some molten heavy elements become solid again but their solidity is unstable and perturbations can jiggle their bonds loose enough for these formations to flow in the direction and pull of the Earth’s rotational spin over time. Under extreme pressure elements take on exotic properties and even have extremely high temperature super conductivity. It is known that unstable radioactive elements seek the core because of their density. Add super conductivity, solar flare perturbations of the Earth’s magnetic field periodically and you get flows of huge electrical currents like moving magnets over copper wires produces. Currents likely strong enough to cause countless fusion and fission reactions that may produce most of the Earth’s heavier elements. I suspect the Earth produces heavy elements internally and they do not just come from colliding neutron stars or supernovas. The growths likely are not from an early planetary collision and likely form naturally from Earth’s spin and internal pressures.

This is free translation of an old Swedish hymn, that I usually chant, when I walk through the streets, on a bit of brew, creating public disturbances, and trying to get arrested, as man mountain Gulliver, the giant, while walking on the mini planet of Lilliput.

You old, you free, you greatest north,
      you silent, you blissful beauty,
I greet you, loveliest land upon earth,
in green growth of sunny sky.

You throne, upon glory of olden days,
      when honour flew over earth,
I know who you are, and will rise again,
yes, I will live and die, in north.

My POINT is, that a space-faring giant wouldn’t stoop that low, as, to be affiliated, with lickspittles, that crawl up the career ladder of a pecking order, and therefore the planetary quarantine zone maintains itself.

The ancient Cosmic War is presently ongoing, between the imperial position of enslaved Pinocchios, and the position of free men, who know, and understand, reason and logic (Yahweh-Elohim).

The Pinocchios jealously despise those men, who are born free, capable of transcending the music of the spheres, which is the trait of the space-faring giants, incorporated in the Asgard, of the Scythian Crimea.

Jacob’s twelve-membered republic is a litmus test on, whether the planetary quarantine is going to be lifted. Presently, I won’t recommend Lilliput to Gulliver…

These types of photos have been public domain for a while. every single one of them I’ve seen before, I don’t know which space agency maybe ESA, but these are not new releases.

That said it’s never a surprise to find out that NASA has been double talk talking again.

It’s the space marketing arm of defence, and if you know anything about NASA SEWP, a massive financial vehicle.
