OF TUNGSTEN FILLED GOLD BARS AND COUNTERFEIT TITANIUM
Back in 2020 I blogged about fake gold bars being used as - surprise surprise! - collateral in a massive loan scheme in - surprise surprise!! - Communist China and more specifically by a company based in - surprise surprise!!! - Wuhan, at precisely the time the world was reeling from the covid planscamdemic. It sort of makes one wonder: fake gold bars, fake pandemics, and fake injections... hmmmm....
But anyway, here's that story, in case you've forgotten what fun things you can do with tungsten bars wrapped in gold foil:
And yes, you can keep me on that list of gold standard skeptics because of such practices, and because of the lack of reasonable clarity on the amount of the bullion that is actually out there. And besides, who really cares, when you can use fake bars as collateral for massive loans and to create all sorts of liquidity (and not to mention all the financial vistas that open up with good old-fashioned re-hypothecation!). It's the sort of corruption and fraud one comes to expect in one-party systems like Communist China or or California or the contemporary United States (which at least had the good sense to organize its uniparty into two, with one playing the role of controlled opposition).
I mention all of this because now there is another very disturbing story out there that adds to the once-a-week trend of another-thing-gone-wrong-at-Boeing; this story was shared by our reader L.G.L.R.:
Counterfeit Titanium Found In Some Boeing And Airbus Jets
So here, in a nutshell, is the latest Chinese version of gold-wrapped tungsten, which, as is now evident, has become a new variation on a theme: counterfeit titanium:
Boeing is no longer the pride of American aviation. The plane manufacturer is riddled with so many problems it's impossible to keep track. Yesterday, the FAA announced an investigation (yet another...) into a 737 Max 8 jet that encountered a dangerous mid-flight 'Dutch roll' several weeks ago. Now, a report from the New York Times reveals that some Boeing jets are built with 'counterfeit titanium.'
Some recently manufactured Boeing and Airbus jets have components made from titanium that was sold using fake documentation verifying the material's authenticity, according to a supplier for the plane makers, raising concerns about the structural integrity of those airliners.
The falsified documents are being investigated by Spirit AeroSystems, which supplies fuselages for Boeing and wings for Airbus, as well as the Federal Aviation Administration. The investigation comes after a parts supplier found small holes in the material from corrosion. -NYT

The planes that included components made with the material were built between 2019 and 2023, among them some Boeing 737 Max and 787 Dreamliner airliners as well as Airbus A220 jets, according to three people familiar with the matter who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly. It is not clear how many of those planes are in service or which airlines own them.
Fuselage maker Spirit is investigating the source of the titanium and whether the metal meets aviation standards. The big question is if the metal used in critical parts of the airframe is structurally sound enough to last the projected life spans of the jets. If the metal is tested and found to be below aviation specs, the parts must be removed and replaced.
"This is about documents that have been falsified, forged and counterfeited," Joe Buccino, a Spirit spokesman, told NYT, adding, "Once we realized the counterfeit titanium made its way into the supply chain, we immediately contained all suspected parts to determine the scope of the issues."
According to Spirit officials, counterfeit titanium was used in passenger entry doors, cargo doors, and a component that connects the engines to the plane's airframe for 787 Dreamliners. The affected parts of the 737 Max and the Airbus A220 include a heat shield on the engine. Really!? Fake titanium used in fuselages, wings, cargo doors and the pylons connecting engines to the wing!?!? If you don't think that's serious, then do a quick refresher course on American Airlines flight 191 some time, and that disaster happened before western airplane manufacturers were buying fake titanium from the Chinese! And while we're at it: just exactly was is counterfeit titanium anyway? And why wasn't the purity of the stuff checked before being used in various parts, some of which - I'm sure has not escaped the reader's notice - sounds suspiciously like the parts of Boeing aircraft that have been falling off airplanes lately!
All of this brings me to the main point of today's blog. My main point is not about the air worthiness of virtuous American crapitalist titanium versus cruddy worthless Communist and/or Chinese titanium. My point is rather about the culture of corruption, dishonesty, deceit, and outright lying that would permit the sale of such a product from China to anyone, and about the culture of corruption, dishonesty, deceit, and outright lying that would fail to verify the integrity and purity of the titanium, and about the culture of corruption, dishonesty, deceit, and outright lying that would then go on to use it in the manufacture of aircraft, to the endangerment of countless future human lives that might be unfortunate enough to fly on one of these aircraft, while doing all of this assuring us that it was a thoroughly progressive company willing and able to "include" persons no matter their "gender identity", race, or creed, &c &c, blah blah blah.
My trouble is an old-fashioned one, one formed (unapologetically) in my old fashioned and firmly patriarchal views, though I'm bold to suggest that there's a considerable portion of the population that would rightly view it as an old fashioned matriarchal view as well: if I get on an airplane - and yes, I have flown in my life, but I have refused to do so for a few decades now, and precisely because of such stories as this - I could care less what the skin color of the mechanic working on the aircraft was, or what the age or sex or cultural opinions of the engineers and technicians who designed and fabricated it were, nor what their ideas on race, gender, inclusivity, and all the other nonsensical rot and claptrap taken as serious subjects for consideration were. They're not serious, nor worthy of consideration in this context. I only want to know if they are capable of calculation of fluid flow, of lift and drag, of thrust, of the boundary layer, and so on. In short, I want to know if they are competent aerodynamic engineers, technicians, designers, mechanics, pilots, and air traffic controllers. I want to know if they take their job and responsibility seriously enough to test the purity of ingredients and alloys they use. In short, I want to be able to trust that they are competent.
Otherwise, it's just all corruption, fraud, lies, and deceit, and therefore, incompetence. You cannot have a functioning gold standard, or economy, or society, or airplanes, with rampant corruption, deceit, lying, fraud, and evil. And you cannot have functioning cars, elevators, trains, ships, or escalators, or governments either. If Boeing is failing, it is failing because it has rejected transcendent truth and morality. That's why it cannot make a good aircraft, and why I won't fly on them. It is failing for the same reasons that Disney is failing, that Communist China is failing, that the West is failing.

The CCP is not failing. Indeed, Hong Kong has come under very tight and robust command and control by China since the end of British rule.
Do not agree that Communist China is failing at all.
The West is now adopting Chinese methods of population control and containment including facial recognition, finger printing and CCTV tracking of every movement and journey.
It doesn’t seem to me that “Communist” China is failing.
With all the many failures in various industries nowadays it adds up to this…. certain nations, such as the Chinese, are bending the natural laws of nature in a quest for higher profits.
As I have written before these corporate executives make organized crime bosses look respectable.

Yep, the CCP managerial party has been taken over by fraud and incompetence and this is reflected heavily in the fraudulent quality of most of their exports. They have proven they are incapable of governing responsibly. The long term and prevalent fraudulent labeling and quality of their export goods have ruined China’s international reputation and is proof they are not fit to rule. Taiwan on the other hand produces some of the highest quality computer chips in the world and Taiwan’s governing body has a proven track record of providing high quality goods and services to the world. I would not want to be replaced by rampant incompetence and fraud if I was Taiwan either. Taiwan has proven they are the more fit future leadership for all of China and not the CCP!
Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, CalTrans rebuilt the eastern span of the Bay Bridge that connects Oakland to San Francisco. They had to strip out and replace metal parts that they sourced from China. Then, lets not forget the poisonous, rotting attributes of much of the drywall sourced from China. But you can’t blame the Chicoms for all of this… There is plenty blame on this end that needs to be addressed… I lean toward the cruelty methods…
I have great admiration, for Chinese workmanship, and, being a bit of an inventor myself, I marvel at brilliant solutions to everyday problems.
The snag is in the supply chain, where cheap import is prioritised over quality, to maximise profit. Quality is pricey, and people get, what they pay for.
Pride, in good workmanship, is an universal principle, which collides with a greedy tooth, and, the Chinese aren’t to blame, for the slackening of standards, in the West.
The answer is always DIY, not scapegoating.
BTW, just give me some Portland cement, and, with a 1:4 ratio, and washed sand and gravel, I shall make super tiles, that can withstand a pyramid. Such sweaty labour makes flesh on bones, healthy appetite, and good sleep.

Wrong, China needs new leadership and more legal accountability for selling defective and counterfeit goods. They have cost me and every other tile setter I know lots of money, time and headaches. But yes, the west needs new leadership as well such as more “We the people!” and less political lawyers and billionaire monopolies running everything into the ground and into extinction. I can tell someone doesn’t know a lot about the tile trade, lol. But yes the western globalists are putting all the experienced, competent manufacturers out of business and replacing them with cheaper, faulty products because they too don’t know what it really takes to run a sustainable, long term civilization. They have never built anything with their own two hands so are clueless about the importance of quality materials and even the basics of a good life and creation.

In the past most of us liked Asian goods. Often their products were made to a little higher degree of standards than the US slackers. Even things made in Taiwan, the real Chinese and Chinese culture are made to high degree of quality. The Chinese communist party replaced the original Chinese culture with a fake communist and pseudo capitalist culture. Yes, even the brand of communism and capitalism in China are counterfeits when compared to the legal deffination of such. I’m a tile setter and a lot of tile products coming from China are complete garbage with issues I’ve never encountered before because of the cheaper and fake materials they substitute in their manufacture. Almost all silver goods from China are fake unlike the rest of the world were there are stiff penalties for counterfeiting hallmarks. Only other nation I’ve encounter counterfeit silver from is the occasional item from Canada. Only counterfeit gold I’ve ran into is from China and the occasional item from Israel. Just my experience. No wonder the Globalists love the Chinese system, any kind of scam is permissible as long as your at the top of the food chain. There appears to be no legal recourse for those at the top in China.
If I was Taiwan’s leadership, my response to China’s demands for re-unification/subjection would be for the illigitimate CCP counterfeit to step down first and give the mainland back to Taiwan government oversight.

Other fan blade failures occurred on a United plane flying to Hawaii in 2018 and a Japan Airlines Boeing 777 in 2020.”
These headlines were only a couple I found after a quick search. If these turbine engines have fake titanium parts inside them where they turn thousands of rpm’s… it’s like a grenade just waiting to go off.
This is a HUGE problem. Imagine having to replace the fake parts in the airframes of these planes (IF you can obtain real ones) after the plane has been fully assembled and operating. We may start hearing about planes being SCRAPPED because it would cost too much to repair them. Geeeshh….

Substitute Chinese metallurgy has infiltrated another famous American brand name : John Deere Tractor, as the parts are just not as well made as the ones originally used on my 2003 John Deere Tractor. I had to replace the steering drag links and used the suggested correct torque specs for a new drag link ball end bolt and the bolt snapped off. I tested the same torque wrench on an original drag link bolt and it still held fine. I told the factory dealer this and they laughed and said they would not exchange it for a replacement. Lucky for me Tractors don’t fly. John Deere has gone queer for Chinese hardware that cost twice what the Chinese aftermarket stuff on Amazon does. My next tractor will be both robotic and not a John Deere .
