TIDBIT: THE BABYLON BEE’S TAKE ON THE VIGANO EXCOMMUNICATION

Apropos of today's main blog, here is the Babylon Bee's take on the Vigano excommunication:

Pope Excommunicates Bishop On Suspicion Of Being A Christian

It is perhaps a sad commentary that the Babylon Bee's satire is more reality than satire, and that an archbishop seeking to defend basic Roman Catholic doctrine can be excommunicated, but an openly pro-abortion "Catholic" politicians like Bai Den Dzhao get to visit the Vatican and exchange pleasantries with The Infallibility, without so much as a slap on the wrist.

You’ve mentioned a topic that has been of particularly personal concern since the morning of the Brexit referendum: “the Babylon Bee’s satire is more reality than satire”. Since around 2004, most young adults have gotten their “news” from late night comedy shows like ‘The Daily Show’.

Stephen Colbert had one such show and he became host of CBS’ ‘The Late Show’ to replace David Letterman. It’s worth noting tgat CBS was a seperate company at the time and Leslie Moonvies was CEO (who in 2019 resigned in disgrace as CBS was forcibly remerged with Viacom and is now Skydance/Paramount). This is important because there were (and likely still are) Defense Department contacts within CBS as documented in the film ‘Theaters of War’ based on FOIA requests that took nearly 10 years to process.

Simply stated, comedy has been weaponized for the purposes of propaganda, perception management and mind manipulation since the early 21st century. Before then, there was at least a modicum of fairness and good nature as exemplified by Norm MacDonald’s Bob Dole impression ( https://youtu.be/nzMahrucH04?feature=shared ).

Nowadays, we’ve devolved to a culture where Adult Swim social media admins harrass and block people for refusing to say what their pronouns are (yes tgat really happened and I have a Space Ghost tattoo on my wrist so tgat was a particularly painful experience I won’t soon forgive).

Yes, there will always be a need for political satire. Political satire itself was brought to the mainstream popular culture by Mort Stahl’s monologues on the Kennedy assassination and Warren Commission.

But it’s been weaponized since then. It’s no longer a safe space to *make light of* and share potentially controversial opinions or question presumed authority. Comedy has become tribalistic and abusive; absolutely no sense of ethics or open mindedness in todays brainwashed consumers of crudely concieved and poorly executed mass media and mad grabs for the “low-hanging fruit”.

“Satire” in the ancient sense was much more closely associated with “curse magic” than humor but there were still formalities and even an entirely seperate set of laws tgat applied to “satirists” in ancient Ireland (female satirists were considered especially powerful and fearsome). What we have today is pure chaos imposing itself as “authoritative”. I’ll stop here but this topic goes very very deep in to the topic of mind control and esoterica.

At the risk of alienating everyone (as though that’s ever stopped me), that Babylon Bee article subversively reinforces a person’s religious persecution complex; rather than evoking laughter at the absurdity of the situation, the article is more likely to evoke rage or anxiety. The “other side” is being fed the same sort of rage and fear (in both news and parody) creating an abuser/abused social dynamic. The end result is more destructive than healing and if yiu listen to just about any professional comic from any era, they’ll likely tell yiu that comedy is supposed to be an healing endeavor. Even the celebrity roasts where someone subjects themselves to abuse and invective from their friends and colleagues is (supposed to be) done with live and respect.

The readers of this website, while perhaps not willing to acknowledge this, should be able to accept that the same sorts of “deep state” influences that have weaponized late night comedy are probably also involved with The Babylon Bee (or as I call it, The Babylon B-Grade Material).

“… you might as well draw in a chain of fox heads on sticks; and when you do that, an interesting thing happens…”

(Brass Eye is not available for viewing ourside of the U.K. but if you can manage to find a copy, it’s an excellent study on how the media conducts perception management and mind manipulation.)

Rage, fear, anxiety, doom and gloom, are beig installed in the hearts of contemporary Christian, by various outlets. It causes me to believe that all of above are the works of the ” one that doesnot pass by any occasion” To the contrary, all the gospels of the new testament end with a order from Jesus to spread rather good news.

Loved the first line; right out of the gate!
It doesn’t slow down; nor, loose its punch.

“Shockwaves were felt throughout the religious world today, as churches around the world received official word that the Pope had excommunicated a bishop on suspicion of being a Christian.”
