Well the news of the day and of the week is the sad airplane-helicopter mid-air collision over Reagan National Airport in Washington.... Joseph has a few thoughts, most of which tend to the view of "tragic accident", but a little of which seems highly incongruent with such a view... there is no article for today's story due to the unfolding nature of the story...

May they rest
The position of air traffic controller remains a stressful tasking for the most skilled and quick minded in those towers. No revelation there yet the history of position shortages is concerning.
Trump is right to suggest that those in those positions need to be truly competent. Hopefully that short fall of competent personnel in complicated air traffic control management will be given greater urgency in future.
Sure hope there wasn’t any anomalous air traffic involved that further complicated an already stressed set of conditions. At this point there does not seem to be any mention of other anomalous sightings frustrating pilots and tower personnel on approach to runway 33 Reagan International from the south.. We’ll see.
Jan. 27, 1967 Apollo 1, Jan. 28, 1986 Spaceshuttle Explorer and the Feb. 1, 2003 Spaceshuttle Colombia disasters.
“Special vigilance” in London airports. What does London have to do with this? Unless of course there is something fishy involved…

Just saw a clip on “X” in which the new secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth state that the Black Hawk helicopter was on a “Continuity of Government” mission.
Ronald Reagan wasn’t a Freemason but he was an honorary member of the Scottish Rite and of the Imperial Council of the Shrine, and I point that out because the American Airlines flight 5342 was on approach to land at runway 33. And If you have read of the S.K. Bain books, you will find little odd “coincidences” in things like this.
What the hell is the military base doing so close to a civilian airport if the military wants to do a training exercise pick a base that is not near a civilian airport this is story that belongs to a banana republic.
Regarding the TCAS warning avoidance system, evidently this system is disabled on final approach below 1000 feet, as objects and buildings on the ground can give a false alarm. I agree that on the video it “looks like” the helicopter is aiming toward the passenger jet at a high rate of speed. It would be interesting to know how many were pulled out of the wrecked helicopter, and if someone logged in the helicopter flight was not accounted for in the wreckage. Someone could have bailed out of the river, for example. Defense Secretary Hegseth actually came out and said the helicopter was on a Continuity of Government training exercise. Which might be the craziest part of this very sad affair.
These 2 articles say the tower at DCA was understaffed. Usually one controller will talk to incoming traffic, then hand the plane off to another controller when they are getting in position to land.

Most sign posts point toward an accident that was preventable.
A perfect storm of errors; mostly on the military side.
However; if one were to suppose a “secret” op taking place?
Well, the skies the limit.
However; ops are going to be stacked.
The most important Deep State ops are heavily-stacked. Let’s assume, a high-stakes op:
Prepping the air with an accident atmosphere; so when a high-target enters such space?
Mission Accomplished.
The highest possible target would include Trump.
But, there are others.
Methods could include: mind-control; wi-fi control over pilot/aircraft; programmed software via latest ai malware; and other exotic methods.
This target selection, may have included the Russian factor.
This is war.
That aspect hasn’t changed.
The new administration; is high on “their”, Hit-Parade.

Military craft use UHF and commercial use VHF. Why are military craft allowed into busy commercial airspace when they can’t communicate with one another? All comms go through the Air Traffic tower. This is a sore point with my husband, a commercial fishing pilot of 30 years: why is the military allowed to use commercial airports? Our tax dollars have built enough military bases, why can’t training be done there? People are trying to hype this up into something it’s not. The copter pilot got confused, the plane pilot was focused on landing, they did not see one another. In my opinion the ATC should have directed the copter instead of asking if he saw the plane. The air traffic controller sounded “off” in the audio, the patter was off & he did not sound confident.
