I believe that few could argue that: 1) there are way too many laws, 2) most are not adequately enforced, 3) most are too intrusive in our lives (regulation of flush toilets, banning incandescent light bulbs, and now regulating street lamps(?)), 4) are too complex, too many pages, and not beneficial to the average American citizen. So the answer? Just leave legislation to computers? Everybody knows the basic computer axiom of “Garbage In, Garbage Out.” AI is NO EXCEPTION.

Politics has taken over the actions of legislation. Most members see Congress as a place for activities aimed at improving their status in life and the “little person” be damned. In my opinion voting no longer works. The “government” (even at the state and local levels) is irredeemably broken. This is the segue into the much sought after Technocracy that the Nazi International
    has longed for.

In the British spy-fi series: “The Prisoner” (1967), there is an episode: “The General”, where an artificial intelligence runs into a bit of a snag, when attempting, to compute causation.

The spy-fi theme of “The Prisoner” is, to depict a bureaucratic regime, that attempts, to hold government employees captive, to prevent them, from roaming off the reservation.

Mysteriously, the Google AI algorithm – through its random autoplay feature – has rendered a Katie Hopkins link, rather, than playing Patrick McGoohan’s drama, as intended.

Here is the link, originally, intended:

    Evolution of citizens:
    Citizen>Consumer>Commodity

    Evolution of Law Makers:
    Legislatures>Lobbyists>AI’s

The high & the mighty flawless logic:
To save the village? Burn it!
    +[plus]
We need to pass the laws; to find out what’s in them.

[equals] = They didn’t burn the village idiots in charge!

As far as the article goes; it looks like the journalis knows how great AI is,
as he used it to virtually write the whole article.
Which in turn; explains why the article’s conclusions, are so full of holes.
Logic 101; is all one needs to read this Simple Simon says piece,
and begin to pull it apart, with just a little more than simple reasoning.
Like the journalists; it’s much easier to let the computer do the work.
They’re too damn lazy; is the simple sad answer to…
another fine mess, they’ve gotten us into!

    Solution?
The idiots will have AI translate what AI wrote, for them.
AI will do ALL their thinking!

The “citizens” will be lucky too get through their day…
without committing several felonies by lunch time!

Are these laws designed for humans?
    Or, transhumans?

The road to HELL; is paved with good intensions.

First thought the leaps to the forefront is ‘bad code’ in the AI itself, and second thought is can an AI be punished for having bad code?
