THAT ALLEGED VOYAGER 2 SIGNAL

There's a bit of a minor furor going on right now over alleged signals recently received from the Voyager 2 probe, which by now, some 48 years after its launch, is well outside the solar system, and in a region where our sun's gravitational attraction is so minimal that Voyager 2 is, indeed, in that realm of space "in between" various stellar systems in the galaxy. It is this odd fact which makes the following article (and accompanying YouTube video) so very odd and strange, provided the story itself is true. And there's the rub, for other than this article and the accompanying YouTube video, I've not been able to discover much corroboration (there does not, for example, seem to be any similar story on the phys.org website about this alleged transmission, and similar though cursory attempts to find out anything about it at NASA's site did not turn up anything, though as I say, my efforts were cursory as being limited by time). The story was shared by V.T. (with our gratitude):

Voyager 2’s Hidden Transmission JUST STOPPED THE WORLD

Now, in cases like this, the story is fascinating enough to merit a blog, but always with the understood highly cautionary proviso that we assume the truthfulness of the story simply for the sake of high octane speculation. Voyager 2 sent back to earth a very strange transmission:

It sent a signal—brief, barely understandable, but unmistakably unusual. The twist? It was an unscheduled transmission, one not styled like any standard data burst, and most significant of all, with patterns that looked almost like language.

NASA scientists confirmed the signal’s authenticity after multiple checks. “It’s real,” one insider was quoted as saying. “And it’s unlike anything we’ve received before.”

Then we get this:

NASA issued a press conference within 24 hours of the confirmation of the signal. "We are taking this as a high-priority anomaly," stated Dr. Elaine Porter, a senior mission scientist. "Our team is carefully examining the data and coordinating with SETI and other international agencies.

When asked if they feel that the signal is of intelligent origin, Porter replied, "We're not ruling anything out. But our first responsibility is to approach this scientifically and methodically."

Even the most prosaic scientists, though, couldn't conceal their wonder. "It's a once-in-a-lifetime moment," one astrophysicist mumbled off-camera. "If it turns out to be what we think. it will change everything."

Again, all my attempts to find any press conference featuring a "Dr. Elaine Porter" talking about Voyager 2 and making the statements attributed to her in the article could not be confirmed; all searches lead back to this one article. And if one glances at the other fantastic claims being made in other "articles" on this website, it's clear that there's a high probability that the article is simply the sort of fluff that makes its way around the internet.

The only other bit of "information" on the alleged mysterious transmissions is this youtube video:

This video makes a number of much more detailed claims (the following quotation is taken from the transcript):

...(something) caused the data to be corrupted and unreadable but strangely the spacecraft itself was still pointing correctly and its signal was strong nothing else was wrong it was as if the probe had chosen on its own to reroute its transmissions through a dead channel. The question quickly shifted from what's broken to who made it switch because in 45 years of flight Voyager 2 had never shown this behavior and no command was ever sent to tell it to do this. The most unsettling part of the anomaly wasn't just that the system rerouted itself it was here the rerouted data appeared to go. When engineers dug into the transmission logs they found that the corrupted telemetry wasn't random noise, it was structured following sequences that resembled Voyager's earliest launch protocols as if the system had rebooted not into an error but into an old memory, and it didn't stop there. Buried inside the corrupted packets was a consistent echo, a low-frequency harmonic that didn't match any of Voyager's signal architecture it repeated every 7.4 seconds, faded in and out like a pulse 7

and refused to respond to external commands no command no override no reset could stop it engineers at NASA began to refer to it as the heartbeat...

And on it goes from there. I think you get the idea. In any case, the video goes on to hypothesize that signal or message is a cohered and modulated reflection of Voyager's own signals: that is, the probe broadcast a signal, which then hit a field through or in which the probe was traveling, and that field strengthened, "cleaned" and modified the modulated information in Voyager's own signal. Information was added that did not come from the probe, but rather, from whatever field the probe had encountered, to such an extent that an old and out-of-use system on the probe was reactivated and used to create the new information!

Now, needless to say, all this is quite a stretch! And needless to say, it's also a noodle-baker and head-scratcher. So, if true, what's my high octane speculation that might explain it? I suspect, again, iff true, that we might just have had some sort of communication, or encounter, with an interstellar plasma, which, as it turns out, "wants to talk." If you've read my recent book The Demon in the Ekur, or Robert Temple's The New Science of Heaven, or Rupert Sheldrake's The Physics of Angels you'll understand that there is a quiet debate going on right now about the possibilities of some plasmas not only being some sort of strange life-form, but of some of them possibly being intelligent. I won't rehearse the arguments hear, but simply point out that aspects of the alleged Voyager 2 transmission are quite suggestive of the types of plasma phenomena covered in those books.

But our high octane speculation is not concluded, for what if the allegations are not true: what if this entire story is being made up, concocted, and foisted on a gullible internet-scouring audience? The fact that the story seems to stand on a mere two sources suggests that it's a careful plant, perhaps by the intelligence community for whatever purpose: their own private kicks and giggles ("Look at all the nutcases following this one, and there goes Farrell again on his wackadoodle high octane speculations!"), or for a much deeper and more nefarious purpose: to do the necessary long range preparation work for a narrative of "contact", or of "space threats" (for which we need a "golden dome"), &c.

If the latter, however, I wish them luck, because fighting plasma with plasma seems... well... self-defeating. After all, those "laser plasma channel" weapons they've been working on might just prove to be laser channels and portals for some of that plasma of the intelligent kind to make its way here.

All of this to say, "who knows?" but I am unable to get rid of the creepy feeling that this story might just possibly be a bit of both... and that means there is a core or kernel of truth to it.

If we consider the Hollywood predictive programming aspect, well documented and popularized by Jay Dyer – which I believe – they have been setting us up for this since Star Trek the Motion Picture. That said, I don’t think this one is “real” for all the reasons you state. I think the vid was AI narrated for starters.
My personal “smoke test” for a planted story is that it appears on all the same news channels with the same narrative. Then you know for sure it’s a plant.

Perhaps there is a kernel of truth to these Voyager 2 and Voyager 1 stories.
There does seem to be a cross over between Artificial Intelligence (machines, quantum computers) and Non-Organic Intelligence (plasma).

Why are we not hearing more discussion about the loss of states rights for 10 years regarding governance of AI, and Emminent domain used to take away citizens property for AI power plants on or near residential properties that is buried deep in the Big Beautiful Bill ? I have only seen comments by Reps Massie, and Marjorie Taylor Green.

May I recommend James Blish’s novel for young adults, The Star Dewellers? I think it was published in the mid-1960s. It tells the story of a group of teenage space explorers meeting with intelligent plasma beings.

After reading Dr. Farrell’s blog and watching the video, I have a suspicion that perhaps there is a bit of a Mandela effect going on here as I encountered an entirely different story via a video with the well-known physicist Michio Kaku which I am linking below. I will not opine on so that you can all judge for yourself. I also linked a video by Clif High has he goes into some depth regarding the quantum chip being reprogramed.

  I was going to share that video as well. What’s interesting in this story is that the data was from the Voyager 1 space craft, and the anomalous signal could only be decoded by NASA’s quantum computer. Allegedly the signal itself caused the quantum computer chip (Sycamore X) to break down, and the scientists who looked at the rendered imagery from the signal had some mental or emotional problems afterwards. I find it interesting that each of the Voyager probes are alleged to have receive anomalous signals, but of very different kinds. Perhaps one story is real and the other is obfuscation.

So far I also think this is fake news. Numerous videos have come up on my Youtube algorithm over the past couple of weeks. Some state that its was Voyager 1 and others Voyager 2, but so far none have mentioned both.

Do note that the plasma wave subsystem is still switched on, but the plasma science system on Voyager 2 was switched off in September 2024.

I think the authors of the science & nature blog have been watching Star Trek: The Motion Picture and are getting carried away with themselves!

However, it would still be most interesting to know the precise purpose of the plasma instruments carried on Voyager 1 and Voyager 2.
