MANDELA: EFFECT? OR EXPERIMENT?

Every now and then some Gizar runs into an article or a post on Facebook that just leaves one stunned, and that I have to talk about. That's the case in this week's lead story, which is about an experiment that was conducted in Vienna in 2012, and which was reported on this Facebook page (our gratitude to J.K. for spotting and sharing this one):

In a quiet laboratory in Vienna

Now, according to this post, the experiment did the following, as summarized by the poster, Ms. Julie Halton Eubank:

In a quiet lab in Vienna, a group of physicists ran an experiment in 2012 that should have been impossible. They fired two entangled photons — particles of light linked across space — into a carefully built quantum setup. One photon was measured immediately. The other was delayed using a long optical fiber. But when they compared the results, something strange happened: the outcome of the first photon’s measurement appeared to be influenced by the second, which hadn’t been measured yet. Somehow, the future was affecting the past.
This baffling phenomenon was later confirmed in several experiments around the world. It’s now known as the Delayed Choice Quantum Eraser — a mind-bending concept where the act of observing a particle can seemingly reach back in time to change what happened before the observation. To be clear: no one is sending messages into the past. But what we are seeing suggests time, at the quantum level, doesn’t behave like the linear arrow we experience in daily life.
...
This shakes the foundation of causality. While no information can travel faster than light — meaning no violation of relativity — the implication is deeper: at the quantum level, reality isn’t determined until it’s observed, and sometimes, observation in the present seems to sculpt the past.
Some physicists think this hints at a universe that’s fundamentally interconnected across space and time. Others wonder whether time itself might be an emergent illusion — something that appears orderly only when observed at scale. Either way, the more we look into quantum mechanics, the more reality stops behaving like reality.
And if the past can be changed by the present… what else might be possible?
And that is the rather stunning - and well-written - set of observations that Ms. Eubank recorded on her Facebook page. Now, if you've been a regular reader here over the years, you'll know I've been fascinated with the idea of the Mandela Effect, i.e., the idea that some people remember past events differently than others. And for those of you new to this site, or new to my views on the subject of the Mandela Effect, I do not include changes in the spelling of Jiffy (or Jiff) Peanut Butter or the Barenstein(Berenstein/stien) Bears as examples of Mandela Effect for the simple reason that corporations often change product names or rebrand products over the course of their lives, and often do so from region to region. What I'm talking about are people who remember events differently, such as the deaths of famous people, and when they died. For example: some people remember the actor Michael Douglas on late night talk shows talking about the death of his famous actor-father, Kirk Douglas, while other people point out that they remember no such death at all, and that Douglas was still alive at the time of the purported Michael Douglas late-night talk show appearance. I am one of those who has "experienced" the effect, as I remember President Clinton reporting on the death of long-time White House correspondent Helen Thomas, again, before other people remember her dying much later and under very different circumstances.
The Mandela Effect is so named because many people remember the famous South African black leader's death in prison being reported (I am one of those as well), when Mandela not only did not die, but went on to become South Africa's first post-apartheid president.
So as one might imagine I went in search of some confirmation of the post, and found these:
There's an even more intriguing explanation in the following article, about the relationship of the experiment to freedom of choice:

And for a further confirmation of the above article, see:

Quantum Spookiness Has Been Confirmed by First Loophole-Free Experiment

So let's go back to Ms. Eubank's formulation of the implications, because she's seen exactly the same possibility I've been blogging about for years in connection to the Mandela Effect: (1) Can the observer effect be "scaled up" to the macroscale? and (2) If so, what happens when one changes the character of observations about the past on that scale? She raises the possibility of a kind of "retro-causation", which we have discussed many times:

Beyond a kind of epistemological confusion, does the fact that two different groups of people remember two very different events - the death of Mandela in prison, or the post-prison life as South Africa's leader - affect reality in any fundamental physical way? The only way to answer that question is to perform an experiment. How might one do that? Precisely by releasing contradictory narratives to two different groups of people, and then carefully tracking and recording results.  We're in a world of profound paradox here, as a moment's reflection on the topics of entropy and entanglement in connection with each other will reveal.
But one implication does emerge from this little experiment: we might indeed be looking  at corroboration that with the Mandela Effect, we might really be looking at the Mandela Experiment....
See you on the flip side...

There is quantum entanglement of photons in the brain. A recent study, published this July 2025 in the journal Physics Review E, suggests that a fatty material called myelin that surrounds the nerve cell’s axon – the fibre that transmits electrical impulses to other nerves or body tissues provides an environment in which the entanglement of photons is possible.

Of course, also worth noting is that Octopus have 9 brains – a central one and 8 smaller ones at each end of an arm. It is thought that this is the most advanced form of quantum entanglement in any animal including humans.

This neatly brings us to the concept of time, and note that in the excellent film Arrival, the cephalopod type aliens didn’t experience our linear time but experienced cyclical time (past, present and future – all at once). This neatly explains the Mandela Effect.

Yes, by default, ‘cyclical time’ induces a superposition, that transcends ‘past, present and future’, which is, why the proto-Scythian definition of Olam, as both static [the world] and dynamic [a timespan], is paramount.

Normally, the ‘cyclical spin’ is perceived as angelic, and, Tolkien’s three elven rings are the three cycles of day-night, year and lifespan, and, the seven dwarfish rings are the timespan of the ‘seven days a week’, which is a calendar.

In Norse mythology, the nine worlds [rings] are man’s epistemic abode – inside an eight-legged horse, a sundial compass – which defines the eight major directions, as eight realms, that emanate, from the ninth realm, Midgard, which defines the centre, as a superposition, an axis mundi.

Originally, Scythian Asgard is the zodiacal Milky Way above, mirrored, as the Scythian headquarters below, in the 7th century BC Crimea.

In the best of Grail tradition, pulling a sword [sprout] from a [seed] stone, is hot-wiring a Buddha cephalopod.

        SEVENTH SEAL

        When Pendragon wild, not tame,
        born of shadow and flame,
        killed off every fear
        crystal clear,
        he went before he came.

        When Pendragon was not there,
        he became fire everywhere,
        within dream awoken
        in action taken,
        throughout angelic sphere.

        When Pendragon did not yield,
        in final stand by shield,
        he rose victorious
        and hilarious,
        laughing in empty field.

    The capstone of the Pyramid!

It doesn’t matter, where man is located on the planet, the heavenly celestial bodies appear, to orbit around his head, seemingly, due to the earth’s rotation.

Therefore, the ‘seven celestial bodies’ [Elohim] rotate around man, and, that induces an ‘axial spin’, which defines creation of arborary Adam, as a vertical superposition.

When vertical axis is defined, in relation, to the major directions [the four rivers], then Black Elk’s Six Grandfathers’ powwow becomes the Lakota zero point, in geometry.

Narratives don’t drift, when they are, mathematically, nailed down, and bound, to a cornerstone – which is the geometric origin.

For me, it was the death (or, as it turned out, the not-death) of actor Frank Langella. I distinctly remember seeing his death announced on the evening news, and then, about a year later, he was nominated for an award for his performance in the movie “Frost / Nixon.” I was so confused; wasn’t he dead? Apparently not.

I heard some other people remark that they thought he’d been dead, too. Strange times.

Naturally, in our computer metaphorical times; my first thought was of programming entaglement. In other words, a sophisticated, highly advanced virtual reality. Then, my next thought, was the experiment; itself was being “mirrored”. In other words, the observer[s], effected to outcome; as the experiment was “testing” time itself. Thus, effecting the outcome…..
    [drumroll]
    In a “timely” way.

    Debunking the Scripture!

The Book of Genesis is quantum mechanics, with axis mundi as superposition – that bridges diametrical opposites – and, the four rivers are the major directions of the compass.

The Olam concept means both ‘world’, and ‘timespan’, and therefore Olam defines ‘incarnation loop’ as well, and, the diametrical opposites, in the loop, are quantitied, as runes.

Therefore, Vaticanism, Judaism and Islam are superstitions, for Muggles, who falsely claim stolen feathers, that solely belong, to the Scythian head choppers’ skull-cup toast, at Hogwarts.

The gospel hero’s Last Supper skull-cup toast is déjà vu, all over again.

Scythian Odin is a quantum superposition, which is a Pendragon, that pulls a sword [sprout] from a [seed] stone.

      1. Quantum mechanics isn’t flirting with consciousness; rather it provides a genuine map of the mind, overcoming the paradox of the mind attempting, to understand itself.

      2. In spite of evil Freud, who destroys Greek myths, Narcissus is breaking, through the smooth surface of reflection, while scoping the quantum mechanics, of his own Echo:
      https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/sh6ld8kvmxggv4t/flammarion-engraving-crystalline-veil.jpg

      3. Scythian Odin’s skull cup, named Mimir’s well, is the Greek idea of mimesis, which is the cave wall allegory of Plato, that observes the shadow cast, when objects are exposed to light.

      4. The Scythian episteme lingers on, in Ashtanga Yoga, where Plato’s cave allegory is represented, by Samadhi, the superposition, that converges Asanas, as diametrical opposites.

      5. Beyond the incarnation, the original state of consciousness is a ‘field’, known, as the ‘Buddha field’, which means, that incarnated man has a narrow ‘frog-in-a-deep-well-perspective’, to overcome.

      6. Through deep meditation, man can return, to the field, or, by psychedelics, pull a fast one, while risking madness of demonic possession, when the protection – of the seven seals – is broken.

      7. ‘Eternity’ is the original quantum state, of the consciousness field – which is angelic – where everything happens at once, and, thus it is aptly named the ‘multiverse of madness’.

The ‘Ghost Dance’ is a ritualised tapping, into eternity, through Black Elk’s zero-point superposition [Six Grandfathers], which is raising a totem pole – an axis mundi.
