WAIT A MINUTE… THE FBI(FIB) JOINS AREA 51 INVESTIGATION?!

Every now and then a story comes along that some alert Gizar has shared, that leaves me, and I presume you the reader, scratching our heads and wondering just what the (*&^@>>!!<~* is going on? In this case, the alert Gizar was G.P., and the story - or at least, alleged story - concerns the possibility that one of the world's most corrupt investigative agencies, the Federal Investigative Bureau, or F.I.B. as we like to call it here, has supposedly been called in to aid in the investigation of a crash at Area 51 in Nevada, one of the world's most secure and inaccessible secret military research facilities. I do not know about you, but when those two institutions team up, my suspicion meter needle jumps into the red zone: "Be suspicious and skeptical, very suspicious and skeptical".

We all know the stories that have percolated about both institutions. Area 51 is only accessible by highly secret flights from McCarren Airport in Las Vegas, via special jets with absolutely no markings, and which conveys workers to and from the installation every day on top secret flights. The installation itself is surrounded by mountains, and a veritable hornets' nest of motion and heat detectors, video cameras, four-wheeled drive vehicles that routinely patrol the surrounding grounds. There is only one road into the installation, the so-called dirt road with the black mail box that is just off the "Extraterrestrial Highway" on the way to the hamlet of Rachel, Nevada, and the little motel-and-diner complex called the Lil-Ale-E-Inn, and a few trailers that constitute greater metropolitan Rachel. I know. I've been there. (Pretty good burgers, too.)

But back to the sole dirt road access to the place. Travel down that long enough, and you come to all sorts of warning signs that let you know that deadly force is authorized, and in many cases, the wheeled patrol vehicles with less-than-pleasant-looking men glare at you from a distance and through binoculars. As for the other agency involved in this story, the F.I.B., we know that it has been a cesspool of corruption since its founding director, J. Edgar Hoover, was seen at the race track with various Mafiosi while publicly denying there was any such thing as a Mafia. Rumor has it that he had quite an unusual wardrobe.

So when those two institutions team up, one may be fairly assured that "something is up", or rather, perhaps not "up" but rather, "down", as the story shared by G.P. indicates:

Now this impels all sorts of speculations and questions. The story itself is brief and simple according to the official statement:

"On September 23, 2025, an aircraft assigned to the 432nd Wing was involved in an incident with no fatalities or injuries. The site was secured and guarded until recovery and cleanup operations were completed on September 27th. During a follow-on site survey on October 3rd, investigators discovered signs of tampering at the mishap location, including the presence of an inert training bomb body and an aircraft panel of unknown origin that were placed on the site post-incident. The matter is under investigation by Air Force Office of Special Investigations (OSI) and the FBI (sic). No further details are available at this time," read the statement.

The statement did not disclose the origins of the materials found by investigators.

Defense news outlet The War Zone speculated that the downed aircraft could be an MQ-9 Reaper drone, as it's operated by the 432nd Wing, or possibly the rarely seen RQ-170 Sentinel, which also operates from Creech AFB.

Notice the sequence of events: (1) an unknown aircraft, possibly a drone, crashed close to the Area 51 base; (2) the site was secured until debris recovery and site-clean-up were completed, (3) the site was inspected subsequently, which revealed that the site had been tampered with and that someone had apparently intentionally left more "debris", which included a training bomb and aircraft panel of "unknown origin", and finally (4) the incident is being investigated by AFOSI (Air Force Office of Special Investigations) and the F.I.B.

It's the presence of the F.I.B. in the middle of all this that has me wondering. The F.I.B. has jurisdiction over all counter-intelligence operations, on U.S. soil. What this presence therefore suggests is that there is suspicion that the highly secret installation has been penetrated by someone, whether that "someone" be a foreign agent, or perhaps a rogue element within the US military-intelligence-industrial complex. This question would also go a long way to explain the presence of AFOSI in the mix as well, for one of its normal mission briefs is to vet Air Force personnel for  security clearances.

There's another factor to weigh here, and that is the fact - if true as reported - that subsequent to the site clean-up, more debris was deliberately "salted" on the site to be discovered by the team conducting the follow-up site survey. The nature of what was found - an inert training bomb, and an aircraft panel - means that the original clean-up crews were either grossly incompetent, and missed what were presumably large and very visible pieces of debris, or something much worse. As regards the implied incompetence, I simply do not think this is a reasonable possibility, given the nature of the area and the extreme security surrounding it. Which leaves us with the "something much worse" scenario: such large and very visible debris, left at the site after the initial cleanup, suggests an element of deliberate mockery and taunting of the very security and cleanup crews, akin to a celebrated cat-burglar leaving a calling card at the site of his latest escapade and heist, a sort of "catch me if you can" message. And that implies someone with connections inside the security of the base able to cover their tracks, and that implies a network of such individuals, individuals who, moreover, would have known that normal procedure would include a follow-up visit to the site, and who would have known when, approximately, such a visit would take place...

... and that is bound to have both AFOSI and the FIB burning the midnight oil of worry and concern about the potentialities and scale of the penetration long into the wee hours of the morning. Rest assured, this story will not go away, but we can not expect any real details ever to be released either...
