ABOUT THOSE MISSING (CHINESE) SCIENTISTS

If you've been following the various permeations of the "missing/dead" scientists story in the USA which began with the disappearance of US Air Force General McCasland, and which took it's most unanticipated dive into a rabbit hole with the recent revelations that the alleged White House Correspondents' Dinner shooter, Cole Tomas Allen, was once connected to NASA's Jet propulsion Laboratory having done a summer internship there utilizing artificial intelligence in planetary mapping capacities - a position that, to my mind, would perhaps have required at least some degree of security vetting - then you're probably aware of the fact that American scientists are not the only ones missing, or who have recently died under weird circumstances. In fact, China appears to be experiencing some sort of Sudden Scientists Death Syndrome according to this article shared by E.E. (with our gratitude):

Chinese Scientists Have Been Dying Mysterious Deaths Too

In China's case, as opposed to the American case, the missing scientists appear for the most part to have died, though a few are simply "gone" without much further comment from the controlled Chinese Communist media. But the list is a veritable "Who's Who", and the list of their areas of research and expertise is highly suggestive and a playground for some high octane speculation, which we'll get back to. But consider only this list of scientists mentioned in the article:

Many questions remain over the July 1, 2023 death of Feng Yanghe, a professor at the National University of Defense Technology, who had won national competitions with his pioneering "War Skull" platform.

Such as, why did an obituary in the state-run science news website, Sciencenet.cn, say he was "sacrificed"? Why was the brilliant scientist from Gansu province buried in a special cemetery in Beijing for the Communist Party elite, state heroes, and revolutionary martyrs?

Feng was leaving a work meeting in the Chinese capital when he died at around 2.35 a.m, according to the state-run China Daily, which cited a notice from the organizing committee of his memorial service. He had been working on a "major task," the report said, without giving details. Sciencenet.cn said he was "sacrificed while peforming official duties."

"Feng was a mastermind behind AI simulations of potential Taiwan scenarios and it's very odd that the accident happened in the middle of the night," said an experienced researcher of the Chinese military who works at a Western think tank and who has been monitoring the situation.

Other deaths attributed to car accidents have included Zhang Xiaoxin, 62, in December 2024, a space expert at the National Satellite Meteorological Centre who specialised in weather monitoring and early warning systems, according to the South China Morning Post.

In 2018, Chen Shuming, 57, a Chinese military scientist and microelectronics expert at the National University of Defense Technology as "leader of China's high-end weapon chip research and development team," died in a car accident, according to Electronic Engineering Times China.

The celebrated chemist Zhou Guangyuan died aged 51, in December 2023, with no cause of death given. In an obituary Sciencenet.cn said that after years of study Zhou "had developed a more profound sense of doing what the country needs."

The expert on materials, especially polymers, was a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a researcher at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics who worked with organisations in practical applications for his research. No cause of death was given.

The hypersonics field has also lost experts such as Fang Daining, 68, apparently after an unexpected medical episode in South Africa in February this year.

"Fang studied super-strong materials for spacecraft and advanced engines at Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), a key defence research university," the South China Morning Post reported, quoting an obituary it said was posted on the campus of his employer.

And there's this death of a scientist with a very arcane area of bio-medical interest and research:

Li Minyong, 49, an internationally renowed biomedical chemist who was a Ministry of Education "talent plan" awardee and a member of the non-Communist Zhigong Party that is part of the CCP's United Front, died in Guangzhou in November 2025 after a sudden illness, according to his obituary. He had developed "innovative drugs guided by visualization and light-controlled regulation," the obituary said.

Notably, if one attempts to view all the areas of expertise "whole", then one has a very intriguing picture: materials science, drugs that appear to be optically activated, space propulsion, microelectronics, weather monitoring and manipulation, and artificial intelligence wargaming, all of which suggests a common link in space, and perhaps even to the wargaming of space scenarios with potential adversaries of China, which, since they are unspecified, could be terrestrial (the usual suspects: Russia, the USA, India, Japan), or extra-terrestrial.

In short, it could be argued that space is the common connecting link between these deaths, just as it appears to be in the recent disappearances and deaths of scientists in the U.S.A.

If it is thus an international pattern, then the question that inevitably occurs is: who is behind it, and why? Here the article itself posits that a "scientist" war may be going on, with the major space competitors attempting to "take out" their competition:

There is no evidence that the U.S. and China, or Russia, are engaged in cut-throat scientist assassination campaigns or that they have been targeted by other hostile states. But the stakes couldn't be higher.

But even the state-controlled Chinese media appears to be mystified:

In the Communist Party-ruled mainland of China and Hong Kong, speculation has swirled: "But who would have thought that even in the 21st century, several Chinese geniuses who studied or visited overseas would die mysteriously and inexplicably!" read one article in October last year on the popular 163.com website.

Either one must assume that their media is simply lying and pretending the Chinese government does not know what is happening, or that the government itself is behind the deaths, or that it genuinely does not know.

And here's where we get to take our run to the very end of the twig of the High Octane Speculation Tree for a Wile E. Coyote triple-somersaulting dive into Speculation Canyon: It would seem self-defeating for China to be carrying out a program of the elimination of its own top scientists. A pattern of such deaths and disappearances would be as much of a national security issue for it, as it has been publicly declared to be for the U.S. government by the Trump administration. In China's case it is even more so, for it would seem to imply that in spite of that nation's extreme totalitarianism and its massive security and intelligence apparatus that a network capable of targeting such individuals exists within it, and is able to operate with some impunity, just as it appears able to do in the massive electronic surveillance state of modern America. That's bound to have the midnight oil burning not only in Langley, but - if this reading be true - in the Forbidden City in Beijing.

And the reasons for that burning of the midnight oil are clear, for they imply that rather than being the product of a kind of "scientists assassination war" being conducted against each other by the various powers - a plausible scenario to be sure - it is also possible that one is looking at the same group or organization being behind it in both cases since the patterns and areas of expertise are similar. And that elevates the problem from a national security issue for China and the U.S.A. to an international status and issue, for that group and organization would, perforce and by the nature of the case, be international in extent, and either composed of humans, or "off-worlders" or "crypto-hominds" or what-have-you, or some mixture of all of them. In this respect it is intriguing to note that, when the missing American and Chinese scientists are lumped together, one obtains a set of individuals who would be able to challenge narratives such as "contact" and "disclosure", or able to game out (or challenge) scenarios of "war with ET". The  possibility that one might be looking either at some sole terrestrial power being behind it, or some extra-territorial international organization or group like the SPECTRE of the James Bond novels, or even the "watchers" of the Book of Enoch, is bound to have some very high, very deep, and very secret level of exchanges going on between the concerned parties... Indeed, we've been hearing a lot, lately, of telephone calls between world leaders, and we've been given a lot of information about what they've supposedly talked about.

I don't know about you, however, but I'm betting that they're talking about a whole lot of things they're not telling us, and I'm betting that this story and its implications are one of the things they're talking about during those calls...
